The temple was built in 874. The condition is good, there is a stone iconostasis and frescoes. It's more interesting inside than outside, dial the lanterns. It is located right next to the road, so it is easily accessible. Don't forget to close the doors behind you
A particularly interesting domed church of St. George is a temple of unusual shape, built in the IX century. The church cannot be passed: it stands right next to the Tskhinval — Leningor highway, between Zakkor/ Zahori and Kananta/ Kanchaveti. A stone staircase leads from the road to the temple and a sign is visible. It is interesting as a rare monument with traces of the oldest paintings and inscriptions in Georgia; as a rare case of a temple with a dome without a drum; and as the first temple in the history of Georgia with an accurate dating inscription. It is located on the southern facade and says that it was built in 864 — this is an incredible rarity
