We arrived from Russia on December 22. It turned out that the skiing season is not open yet. Why is not very clear, there is quite a lot of snow. They said on the mountain (at the lifts) that they would open on 12/29. We were a little upset, because after all, the main goal was to ride. But they opened on the 25th. It was Saturday, a day off, so there were more people than on weekdays. Two levels and three and a half tracks have been opened, which can be called blue with small sections of red. We are very average and moderate skaters, and it takes 5-7 minutes to descend from the second level. That's it. This is where the tracks ended. At the same time, all chairlifts, starting from the very bottom, and climbing them takes 15-20 minutes, and if 1 + 2 levels at once, then all 25-30. If there is wind, then you get very cold on the lift. On weekdays, the second level was completely closed, and we had to settle for 2 blue tracks with red splashes. Now for the equipment. Twice, on a completely flat but steep section, on which you just ride down a regular steep slide, the skis unfastened at full speed with all the unpleasant consequences caused by free fall. That is, the skis were traveling in parallel and just unfastened (the legs did not get tangled). And one of the brake levers broke. The skis are dead. As for the cafes. There is a cafe downstairs and a kiosk with drinks and a restaurant on the second level. While there are few people, it's fine, but it can be a little crowded in the season. The views are also not alpine, the mountains look more like hills. There is only one plus on the mountain - relatively cheap ski passes and rental of dead equipment. Conclusion: those who like to ride well and have a good time on the mountain do not need to come here. Those for whom skiing is not the main goal at all, but one of the accompanying entertainment for a couple of days, can have a good rest.
There were few people in February, there are no queues. Warm and comfortable.

Tsakhkadzor urgently needs repairs and a strong hand - the resort is living out its last days in its current state. You can drive for a long time on the beauty of nature, but it will all end someday.
Disappointment: in more severe weather, I have not skated yet, on February 5, there is little snow, 5k rental, unlimited skipass 13 and everything is in the wind, there is nowhere to warm up, everything is bad, in general, I am deeply disappointed.
We had a rest for 2 seasons for the New Year with children, everyone was satisfied, skiing, trails, cuisine, prices, accommodation, everything is at a good level, above average.
There is no snow this year.. The rental is not working.. The lift only works up to level 2... The weather is dry and warm..+7 in the afternoon... nature is nondescript
I'll put a four, because after all, if you go for a ride, then there is a lot of room for this. But the infrastructure of the GLK itself is simply in decline. There are 2 places to eat in the entire complex, several rental shops and 2 coffee shops. There is a paid toilet downstairs
It was January 2nd in the morning. We rented the equipment, went to the slope, first one lift, then the second.... The second lift was a test of strength, I have never seen such a thing in any country. The wind was so strong that my arms and jaws were numb, it felt like you could get meningitis in three seconds. I'm not exaggerating, we really have a lot of people in our family who have been riding for many years and met this for the first time, when an adult man is just ready to cry from the cold. I'm not talking about the child, he was shaking, he was crying, he couldn't talk... I just won't talk about it, I told the staff at the exit from the lift that this is unacceptable and it is impossible to open the lift in such conditions, that it is necessary to warn, especially if you see that the company is with children. They said "they asked for it", I said that I didn't ask for anything like that, if someone wants to go extreme, again, you need to warn them. Next, I went to the administration to say that people should be warned, they are simply risking the lives of children who still have weak bones and thin skin, such cold and wind are not jokes for adults, let alone children. There was no person in the administration who was responsible for this, they gave me his number, I called, he was somewhere at the elevator and was not in the mood for a conversation, but I came and found him, he did not speak, left this matter to the cashier girl, she was polite and tried to help, but he did not meet me halfway. I think it's just not fair that this Haik has no conscience, he didn't even talk, he didn't even look into his eyes, he would have seen the poor child after this lift!! but what does he need, he only needs revenue and complaints from guests that he needs to warn in order to protect the health of others... treating guests simply as expendable. In addition, there are huge queues at the resort to order a meal-it takes 2 hours. I tried to order a drink in the cafe, they said the order was accepted only at a table, and there were no tables available. In general, there is no service and no attitude towards guests. This is sad and does not correspond to Armenian hospitality. It's just a shame
The most affordable prices, the mountains are not bad! The only disadvantage is the slow lifts, on Saturday and Sunday it is better not to ride because there are a lot of people
A company of 12 people. Age from 4 to 47 years old. From February 1 to February 9, 2020, they lived in apartments in a Multirest.
Not for the first time. We love Armenia very much. Inexpensive, tasty and calm.
For demanding fans of European resorts, you need to adjust your expectations a little :)
The main disadvantage is the changeable weather.
We need to look at the forecast. There are long queues for the ski lift on weekends - you can plan educational trips.
There is not always enough snow, so some trails may be closed. See the weather forecast) we liked everything else. There are several cafes, rental, transfer
I have just arrived from Armenia. I visited the ski resort, which is included in the excursion program. I took a ride on the cable car, admired the beauty from the upper mountains!!!! The sun and the sun again!!!Mountains and mountains again!!! Beauty and beauty again!!! It's snowing, it's a little cold when you ride the cable car! The resort was built during the Soviet Union!!! I can't say anything about the tracks themselves, I haven't skated, and I couldn't appreciate it, I can't! But, the air! The atmosphere is conducive to a beautiful, good rest!
open-type lifts, there are often queues due to boarding lifts for 1-2 people out of 4, there is a shortage of snow cannons and they do not periodically look at the tracks for a long time.
Chairlifts, but without protective glasses, and this is in the mountains where a strong wind blew for 5 days. It is useless to go up to the 3rd turn, there you will find only cold and an icy descent with bald spots. It's bad with security, there are almost no fences. It is very cold and there are few trails, and there is also little snow.
Good conditions for beginners. Simple trails, inexpensive rental. To achieve the level of a modern resort, it is not enough to invest minimally in windscreens on the upper queues and the grid fence of the highway in the same place, otherwise you can inadvertently leave for Georgia in the fog.
