It should be borne in mind that this training base for the Olympic team was created in the USSR. But everything is maintained in a normal state. The prices are pleasantly surprising. There is a festive atmosphere all around.
A fantastic place! Complete delight!
The weather is comfortable. Prepared tracks of different levels are processed every night. Early in the morning, it's nice to ride on a fresh corduroy.
There are many hotels and restaurants (the food is very tasty and affordable).
In your free time, you can visit Lake Sevan and other interesting places by taxi.
Almost everyone speaks Russian.
Beautiful mountains! Great vacation :) only here is a supermarket in Hrazdan, but it is not expensive to go there by taxi.

Good slopes, wide, prepared, there is off-piste skiing for those who like to drive around the puffy, chairlifts go for a long time and are fairly used when the wind is on the mountain, it's a real test, in general, the resort is comfortable, there is a place to have a snack, there is a rental of equipment, a taxi. There is a choice of trails. A very comfortable gara for beginners, there are no bumps and very steep red/black trails. The central long track is ideal for training)
Nothing has changed on the slopes in the last 10 years. Several rental and catering outlets have appeared at the bottom. The chairs on the lift are ragged, especially on the third one. They say that the eagles pecked))) I recommend those who go for a ride.
While there were covid restrictions in European resorts, we had a great rest in Tsakhkadzor.
A small ski resort with three lines of lifts. The snow is natural. If there is, then there is. If not, then no one sprays guns, there are none.
On weekdays, skiing is just fine, there are few people, the slopes are wide.
But a lot of tourists come on weekends and you stand in line for the lifts more (and they are sooo slow) than you ride.
Minus one star is for the armchair. Climb the Tegenis from below for 40 (!) minutes. You can get some sleep while you're driving. If you don't get sick from the biting wind. All the chairs are open. It is because of the wind that the queue is very often closed. Namely, it makes sense to climb there in order to see Ararat and Sevan from the very top in good weather.
Otherwise, it is delicious, inexpensive, and hospitable)
The trails are excellent, for beginners and advanced riders, the prices are excellent, both for food, equipment rental, and ski passes! The queues are small, for a maximum of 15 minutes during the hottest Hours and days! In a word, I recommend it!!!
The view is great, I liked the cable car and the air is clean, especially on a day when the sun is warm and quiet .Only the birds sing their own melody
Overall, it's a great place in terms of cost and small number of people. Minus for the open and slow lifts.

The resort needs to be improved and renovated. Today, prices are rising, there is less snow, and there are no improvements for riders.
Beautiful nature, it's worth coming to see. The approach of the staff was disappointing: at the bottom you pay for a full-fledged ascent and descent (we asked again - we were repeatedly told that this is a single ticket for the ascent to the end). At the entrance to the cable car, for some reason, the ticket was taken away by an employee under the pretext that this was how it should be. And during the transfer, it turned out that since I don't have a ticket, I need to buy it again! And they did it twice. This has greatly spoiled my impression of Tsakhkadzor as a ski resort. Unfortunately, it did not work out to ride - there was no snow.
I was there for the first time, I really liked everything 👍😌A sea of impressions 😍😍😍

A beautiful and good place to relax, there is a cable car and in winter you can go skiing. There are hotels and restaurants. Lots of trees and clean air.
A fire, not a resort. Downhill skiing, Armenian cognac and food, what could be better. The trails are gorgeous, well-groomed and wide for any level of skiing. I liked the night skiing, but I froze very much, I saved Ararat))

Crazy impressions of nature, air and views that open from the lift. And this is still in the summer. I can imagine how cool it is here in winter
If you are not very confident on board or skiing, this is the place for you. The slopes are not difficult, wide and there are not many people. If you have been to any European ski resort and feel like a confident user. It's going to be a little boring. It is difficult to get to the 3rd ascent because of the wind.
Everything is fine, fresh air, coolness, restaurant for 5+.the locals are glad to all visitors, they try to show everything, I'll take you where you need to go.
Delight

A great resort, we have already been there 4 times, and we will go more than once! I like everything, the people are hospitable, the mountains are wonderful, the prices are affordable and every year it gets better and better!
I recommend you to visit!
We were at the Russia hotel, the service was not very good, in a family 4-bed room on the second floor, the upper window was without internal glass, the barrel. The barrel was from the windows, it was very cold behind the curtains, they asked for a heater., because the batteries did not work. The food is not very good...
We arrived from Russia on December 22. It turned out that the skiing season is not open yet. Why is not very clear, there is quite a lot of snow. They said on the mountain (at the lifts) that they would open on 12/29. We were a little upset, because after all, the main goal was to ride. But they opened on the 25th. It was Saturday, a day off, so there were more people than on weekdays. Two levels and three and a half tracks have been opened, which can be called blue with small sections of red. We are very average and moderate skaters, and it takes 5-7 minutes to descend from the second level. That's it. This is where the tracks ended. At the same time, all chairlifts, starting from the very bottom, and climbing them takes 15-20 minutes, and if 1 + 2 levels at once, then all 25-30. If there is wind, then you get very cold on the lift. On weekdays, the second level was completely closed, and we had to settle for 2 blue tracks with red splashes. Now for the equipment. Twice, on a completely flat but steep section, on which you just ride down a regular steep slide, the skis unfastened at full speed with all the unpleasant consequences caused by free fall. That is, the skis were traveling in parallel and just unfastened (the legs did not get tangled). And one of the brake levers broke. The skis are dead. As for the cafes. There is a cafe downstairs and a kiosk with drinks and a restaurant on the second level. While there are few people, it's fine, but it can be a little crowded in the season. The views are also not alpine, the mountains look more like hills. There is only one plus on the mountain - relatively cheap ski passes and rental of dead equipment. Conclusion: those who like to ride well and have a good time on the mountain do not need to come here. Those for whom skiing is not the main goal at all, but one of the accompanying entertainment for a couple of days, can have a good rest.
Tsakhkadzor urgently needs repairs and a strong hand - the resort is living out its last days in its current state. You can drive for a long time on the beauty of nature, but it will all end someday.
