A tiny and lovely spa town which is located not far from Yerevan (~50mins driving). Most crowded in the winter time as people come here for ice skiing. Highly recommended!
There wasn't much snow in January, and there are a lot of bald spots. The ski complex is small, but everything you need is there: rental, repair, sports shop, cafe, hotels. However, in some service points they overestimate the price, frankly trying to make money. For example, if a snowboard needs to be repaired.
In general, it would be nice if there were not a small amount of snow.
The price of a daily ski pass in January 2025 is 14 thousand drams (~ 3.5 thousand rubles), which is expensive for a small resort.
It's a very beautiful place. Gorgeous views. It can be visited both during the ski season and in summer. A large number of ATVs are available for rental out of season. There are many interesting places nearby.
I recommend.
We visited Armenia and Tsakhkadzor for the first time-we were just delighted! Very friendly people, comfortable infrastructure, well-prepared trails, good organization of the resort. The tracks are simple, wide, convenient for both beginners and those who hone their skills. There is a possibility of safe freeride. Fantastic views from the top point. There are entertainment options for tourists-tubing, boars, cafes. I really liked it!
I was on New Year's holidays in 2025. The weather is cool and sunny. There is not much snow, there are bare places where the wind just blows snow. Well, this is a feature of Tsakhnadzor. In general, the tracks are rolled up and prepared. The long-term experience of the resort is having an effect. The people are friendly, they speak Russian. There are a lot of tourists just walking, watching, taking a walk. I wish I could come here again, YES. I will definitely come.
Features of the place:
1) there is almost always little snow, if 20 cm suddenly falls (this is rare), then it will most likely be blown off the mountain in the morning).
2) The very long lift is very upsetting, all three queues take almost 1 hour. And without caps! According to the clothes, you need to be prepared for strong winds.
3) Daily skipass is about 3,000 rubles, which is more expensive than the much cooler Georgian Gudauri and Tetnuldi.
4) But there are few people on the slope)
5) But do not try to come here at the beginning of the season, namely around the second and third weekends of the season - you will spend 1 hour each time on the queue and 1 hour on the ascent, and you will have a descent well... 7-10 minutes ... During this period, there are a lot of non-rolling people who come with the noble task of "touching the snow"./
What do I like about this place:
1) 1 hour by car from Yerevan (!!!)
2) Wide tracks, few people - ideal for honing flat freestyle.
3) It is convenient to train physical education literally every weekend on skit climbing. Well, there are savings on skipass ; ))
We were in the summer, the lift to the top does not work, only in season. The cost of lifting is 3000. Beautiful views. Upstairs, you can ride laps and quadricks for an additional fee. There are a couple of food stalls. But in principle, there is nothing much to do upstairs, there are no viewing platforms.
The place is beautiful
I advise fans of the ski resort
There aren't many places to go in the city, unless you're a casino fan.
I advise you to ride the cable car
The air is clean
We arrived in December
As tourists, without sports equipment
We went up one level of the cable car
I really liked it!
Mountains, snow, beauty
Pleasant impressions and emotions
A great place to relax.
Skiing is optimal for those who are for the first time or improving their skills. Great reception, delicious everywhere, in any cafe/ restaurant.
Among the disadvantages: simple trails (and this is also an advantage for beginners), slow lifts (and this is not bad for beginners, they have time to rest)
At the moment, there are no advantages, only disadvantages, everything and everywhere is sooo expensive, the service in establishments is so-so, but the most important thing for any tourist is the cost, it is clear that the resort city, but even all this considering, the prices are high.
We spent a week in February, I really liked it. There are only five lifts, the trails are mainly for beginners and trained skiers. Professionals will be bored! But for fans of freeride - Klondike! From the top point of Mount Tehenis, height 2850, you can immediately drive through the virgin land. There is a strong wind on the upper lift, otherwise very good. There were no queues for lifts.
These were my first years and I'm thrilled.
The trails are wide and they are well served. It's a pleasure to ride.
The 2nd and 3rd lines of lifts were without hoods, which sometimes caused discomfort when the wind rose. At an altitude of almost 3,000 meters in the wind, there was not always a desire to climb on open lifts. Indoor lifts would solve the problem.
Otherwise, everything is fine.
There are very few people on weekdays and the tracks do not break almost all day.
Skiing is great in winter, in summer you can have a great walk through the mountains covered with forest. In summer, the lift also works, but only on one level.
A great ski resort! Not only to ride, but also to take a walk, ride a cable car. There is equipment rental, but you need to arrive early then. There are not many people on weekdays, and on weekends there is even a queue for the lift, 5-10 minutes. To buy a ski pass card for the lift (for the whole day. On the next day, it can be extended or handed over to collect the fee for the card itself) or a one-time trip (1 round trip, if without skis). Payment by card or in drams. I want to note that the DJ sets a huge charge of energy and mood! I declare my gratitude to him for my excellent mood, although I did not ride out of our entire company of 11 people). There is a choice of soup, pizza, shawarma and of course drinks with degrees in the cafe for lunch). We went to a cafe or rental to keep warm, and normally everyone understands that it's cold! I also want to say a huge thank you for your responsiveness and hospitality: a local family drove us and our children to the city, picking us up on the way)!!!
A great place, there are no queues for lifts, a lot of trails, the trails themselves are wide. The staff speaks Russian fluently. There is everything: a rental car, a cafe, a vending machine, and a store where you can buy inventory.
The beautiful nature of Armenia should not leave you indifferent. In winter, skiing is not bad, in summer there are a lot of greenery, fruits, vitamins, near the gorgeous Lake Sevan!
Good slopes, lots of rental options, there is a place to eat, an adequate price for such skiing. The only drawback is the slow chairlifts, which are periodically closed due to strong winds
A ski resort for relaxing skiing. The gentle, wide trails are especially comfortable for beginners. The absence of a large number of people in the middle of the week is also encouraging.
The staff on the lifts is not competent, every year is new, they do not know the rules of boarding. They tried to put my 8-year-old daughter alone (on a 2-seater outdoor lift), while I told them several times that do not put the child in, as a result she got scared and fell into a snowdrift behind the lift (we were walking together, and the gate opened only for her, I don't know what they have there it works in one place). I had to, sorry, yell at them, explaining how not to do it. As a result, the child is in tears, and was afraid and hysterical on the descent, although he can ride. There are pseudo instructors who are trying to work not officially. Official in red suits with a yellow vest. The tracks are generally good, but it is difficult for beginners, and boring for those who know how. There is no way that there would be an entirely blue track or an entirely red one. After lunch, there is a huge queue, which many people try to get into early. Near the ticket offices, and in general there is nowhere to lean the skis, only near the cafe (it is difficult to make 2 poles and 2 boards with bars??).
Good slopes, wide, prepared, there is off-piste skiing for those who like to drive around the puffy, chairlifts go for a long time and are fairly used when the wind is on the mountain, it's a real test, in general, the resort is comfortable, there is a place to have a snack, there is a rental of equipment, a taxi. There is a choice of trails. A very comfortable gara for beginners, there are no bumps and very steep red/black trails. The central long track is ideal for training)
I've been there 2 times. A good resort, usually for beginners, but there is also a place for the experienced to ride. There is a great view of Ararat from above. Good hotels and wonderful Armenian cuisine. Try Sevan crayfish with local beer. What else do you need to relax!
When the snow has just fallen, the wheelchair is beautiful. Slopes of varying difficulty, it is better to arrive at the opening at 9:30 - you will find corduroy and the freeride will not be broken
The trails are regularly trampled and there are no questions about the slopes
There are questions about food outlets and parking. I arrived on Saturday and ordering coffee at a takeaway cafe took about 20 minutes. They locked my car in the parking lot, and I waited for this man for another 20 minutes.
And I drove for about an hour to the highway, because winter tires are not particularly in high esteem here, the front and rear-wheel drive cars created a big traffic jam (
inexpensive rental, equipment for 4+. It's free on weekdays, there are no queues
cons: slow lifts (although warm), the toilet and cafe close at exactly 17-30, there is a poor choice in the local cafe and service is slow
a minimal green slide with elements of red, it's hard for the girls, and there are no analogues to move out. The middle of the track is sometimes covered with stones (although this is rare). the tracks are not spent, because of this everything is in bumps, the snow is not packed, it is slippery, then the bumps and plump. there are no fences, you can roll into the forest from the slope.
A small resort with good trails for a confident level of skiing. There are no queues at the lifts on weekdays. There are mountains for skittering
The resort is not intended for children. Ideal for adults
Everything is at a very good level, there are a lot of people on weekends, but there is enough space for everyone, it is freer on weekdays. The main thing is to get into the weather and you will get an unforgettable experience!
For beginners, skating is the best thing! But there's trouble with the rental, a lot of nonames, shoes are all about mint. Do not hesitate to ask for everything to be picked up clearly or see for yourself how to set up the equipment correctly, etc. Do not rely on competent instructors, in general it is not bad, everything is as simple as possible. I recommend Elite rental, but also beg for good gear, they have something! You can use a MIR card or cash.
Very slow lifts, where you freeze while climbing, especially if there is wind. The trails are marked with signs, but there are no signs indicating the route numbers. The guys who own it are not some huge capital investments, but it adds convenience, at least it is easier to find. There is no artificial snowmaking system, so the condition of the trails depends on the weather, there was snow norm, there was no snow for a long time - stones and earth.
The resort staff does not monitor safety at all: they do not limit the crowds of people just walking and staring, they go out in groups to the slopes for photographing, blocking the descents and entrances to the lifts. Well, give them zones for selfies already, it will be more convenient for everyone. I regularly see craftsmen rushing down on a slide, without a single attempt to carve. Such an extreme can not only harm himself, but also other people on the track.
Entrances and exits from the resort are parked by cars, which is why traffic jams are gathering. Well, is it really impossible to cooperate with the local traffic police in this matter and arrange parking, especially on weekends?
The conclusion is that you should not go on purpose, but if you are already in Armenia, then come here on weekdays.
Everything is average. There are no places to change clothes, no storage rooms. There are few people, especially in the morning, the bulk of them are pulled up by 13:00. Trails and lifts work according to the weather. There are only armchairs everywhere, it's quite cold in windy weather.
No snow on the slopes. There are no guns. It's cold on the ski lift because of the wind.
The tracks are not all working.
The views are beautiful, especially on Ararat.
Beautiful view and slopes, but ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE.
It's just a crazy system for buying lifts, built in such a way that if you want to go for a ride after lunch, you don't fit into this system. After lunch, it is not possible to purchase a half-day subscription, you will ask "Why?"I don't have an answer for you. If you purchase a subscription for the number of ascents in this situation, then it does not apply to the "evening skiing", which begins at 18:30. And if you want to finish your lifts the next day, then I have wonderful news for you, your card has been canceled, and you no longer have such an opportunity either.
A great resort. Diverse, well-groomed trails. There are few people on the lifts and on the slopes. Nice prices for ski passes and a bar.

I really liked everything well, we are glad to come again, nature is fresh air, thank you for being there, as tourists are surprised by the beauty of such
If you like skiing, come here :)) ski pass for the day 13 thousand amd. Rent 5 thousand. The whole day flies by in a minute. It would be great if we closed a little later, 7 hours is not enough for skiing ... considering that you spend 35 minutes climbing on the 2nd cable car. (Mailer wins with his cable cars, of course, but Tsakhadzor has no equal in terms of quality of service and infrastructure in Armenia now)
We arrived in Tsokhkadzor for the first time, the trails are blue-red, good, the lifts are old, they are blown at a height and I want plexiglass glass to cover the top, the prices are small. I recommend
The wheelchair is not bad. It will do for Armenia. But not so much that it's worth coming here.
One of the disadvantages is very slow lifts. Well, very much. The slope is empty, it is quite possible to get up faster.
The Armenian style service can be traced, of course
I went to the ski center while in Armenia on business. So, it only happened once. Therefore, it is possible that the assessment is not entirely objective, since part of the slopes was closed.
The skiing is not bad, there are not enough tracks, but I did not expect that this was Austria, so I managed to ride. The tracks are smooth, not difficult, soft skating, with elements of red trails, in my opinion. There are not enough lifts, the queues are decent, you roll down from the very top sooner than you climb up. It is better to bring your own inventory, there is a lot at the box office, but the first freshness and prices are too high.
The center has apparently not been updated for a long time.
You can move out several times, but coming for a long ride, for a week, say, I think it will be boring...
