A modern airport with an extremely high level of control and security.
The staff works as Indians should work - without straining (they are all like that). The main thing here is to relax as much as possible, catch this wave and, in case of misunderstanding, use the translator on your phone (download the English language pack in advance, even if you are a native speaker. Local English is poorly understood by ear and leads to a break in the template.).
It is advisable to arrive early - it is better to sit in a cafe or Duty Free than to be late for registration. There are fountains with water, the prices in the cafe are reasonable.
For smokers, the smoking room has excellent ventilation and a cigarette lighter. The latter works in a peculiar way - you need to press the button, hold it for a few seconds, release it and look into the hole with the heating element. Maybe not the first time, but it will heat up and you will light a cigarette. If you failed, then you are not the first. Ask a neighbor for a light.
The level of control and the number of inspection posts are unusually high, it seems that it is necessary to provide maximum jobs. It may so happen that 2 hours will easily pass from the moment of arrival at the building to the moment when you complete the inspection of your hand luggage and pass through the metal detector frame before entering the departure lounge. In general, it is quite a decent airport for its scale. There are few places for a long rest in a horizontal position. Free Wi-Fi via a vending machine with a passport
The new, clean, modern staff is one of the disadvantages. And everywhere, as at the entrance, as at registration, and even the car is godlessly slowing down)
The airport corresponds to the country of location i.e. India, but even in such a province, there is a business lounge at the airport. In principle, it is much better than in Dubai's Al Maktoum.
A decent airport for a small Indian city. Duty free is very modest - do not expect to buy there seriously, there are several small shops with local products and highly inflated prices.
I was surprised by the general perception of India, domestic flights. The airport in Trivandrum is no exception. It is small, clean, with cafe and duty free recreation areas with a good assortment.
When you do not know English, the airport staff will come to the rescue and guide you to all destinations and escort you to the exit to the plane, many thanks to the kind and responsive Indians. India is a wonderful country! Europe should take note of this attitude towards people!!!
Nice spacious, clean airport, lots of buffets, cafes. Tight control. This applies to the departure area, and the arrival area is less equipped, but they do not stay in it for long.
Everything is very wonderful 💯
Considering that I don't know a single word of English at all
Nevertheless, everything is wonderful!
The staff helped to find everything and escorted them to the exit to the plane
