We did not meet any ghosts at the Red Roof Inn Batavia, but we met with a good reception. In its category, it is a very decent chain hotel. We stayed here for one night, arriving as a group of 20 people to visit the local "scary" attraction – the Rolling Hills Asylum ghost house. The rooms are small, with two separate beds, no frills, but clean and equipped with everything you need (albeit not new, but good-quality): from a mini-refrigerator and a TV to an ironing board. The hotel has free WiFi, which was not superfluous at all. I was pleased with a good breakfast included in the room rate, with the opportunity to cook waffles with maple syrup (for some members of our group it was a novelty), and have a snack with fruits, and refresh yourself with pastries, and drink coffee without restrictions. The reception staff is friendly and courteous. I can safely recommend this hotel, calm and free from all kinds of evil spirits and undead (at least in August 2017) to all travelers who are hunting for a change of places and/or ghost hunting will lead to these parts.
