Hands down the best place we went in Uzbekistan. The food is delicious and the seats outside beneath the trees are so comfortable. Seeing a lot of locals dining here as well. So definitely highly recommend!
It's a good place. Next to Ichan Kala . The forge is national, everything is there, including a compliment from the owner. The prices are average in Khiva. Everything is excellent in quality. I recommend you to visit .
In general, not a bad cafe, national cuisine. There is lagman, shish kebab, vegetables and a small menu. Delicious. But! A portion of shish kebab for 20,000 is 5 small pieces, one of which is fat. We also took green noodles, on it two pieces of meat per cubic centimeter. A very tasty flatbread, thin as pita bread. Of the hard cons, they ate indoors -they got flies, it's not possible to eat, they climb into the food, at least they hung up a sticky tape. I suspect they have two menus, for tourists and their own. On the plus side, there is draft beer. A check for two: two tiny kebabs, a plate of green noodles, a plate of chopped vegetables and two beers, plus the service came out 135,000. I supplement the review: we went in for the second time, ordered a lagman, but there is no meat in it!!! Uzbekistan, lagman without meat!!! I called the waitress, she doesn't understand Russian well, I show that there is no meat... She nodded, left, came and took care of another table, I called again, left, brought a bowl with finely chopped meat. Shame and deception!
The prices are average, the kebabs are quite tasty, there is bottled beer. The disadvantages can be attributed to the rather dirty furniture on the street.
They cook delicious. The freshest fish, not frozen, but from the aquarium.
Fast service. The waitress girl was rushing between the beds to quickly serve the customers. :-) Comfortable trestles. Great desserts, apparently, homemade pastries.
Of the cons: a small menu, but delicious and tea bags, although they put a lot of lemons and whole :-)
The teahouse is located in a shady garden, but at the intersection of two noisy roads. But Ichan-Kala is next to the northern gate of Bogcha-darvaza. Delicious meat soup - shurpa. I didn't like the draft beer. I ordered a Khiva specialty - cold noodles with spinach in sour-milk dressing - no, this kind of food is not for me. They serve quickly enough, but they may bring the wrong dish.
Delicious and high-quality food!!!! It's worth a visit! The kitchen is local, made with soul. Ayran is like a milkshake, airy and light. Meat dishes: kebab, kebab. Delicious! Salads made of fresh vegetables, juicy! Prices are lower than in Khiva itself. All prices are listed in the menu. Try to narrow it down. In the evening, there is a stop list for some dishes that are not cooked in the evening. The restaurant is designed for the local population and adjusts the menu to the local flavor.
We stopped by in the evening, we really liked the attitude of the hosts and the food. Shish kebab and fried lagman are just a bomb.
We will be in Khiva again - we will definitely stop by ✨
We ate without pleasure.
We always preferred to eat in simple local cafes/ tents/ tea houses and everything was always very tasty. It didn't happen here, it's a pity. Portions are modest, prices are above average. I can't recommend it for a visit.
Everything is fine, but in the course the waiters do not understand Russian well, they would have said right away we would have made an order in English, we had to wait until they cooked, and everything is delicious, but not cheap.
An ordinary street cafe, inexpensive, national cuisine, with a small menu, but everything is delicious. There are tables outside and inside. The service is fast. Beer is served. There is free internet access.

The outer sphere. Nice polite staff. Great view. The kitchen is medium. The location is in a good place.
Not bad, but simple. The kitchen is good, the service is slow. The toilet is a hole in the floor in the backyard)))
The music is cheerful, not bad by the standards of Uzbekistan.
Local cold draft beer. There are filtered and unfiltered, but we didn't feel the difference. Delicious kebabs and lula kebab. We were sitting outside at a table, there are trestles. Cheaper than inside the fortress walls.
Don't waste your time and money looking for a cafe in the old town, but rather walk ten minutes to this wonderful place! Very courteous and fast service, delicious barbecue and the freshest fried fish (the live carp you like will be pulled out of the pool and fried in just 15 minutes). Delicious shurpa, lagman, lula kebab, and the whole national cuisine - just lick your fingers! We are staying in Khiva for the third day and go to eat only here.
Separately, it is worth noting very affordable prices (three times less than in any cafe in the old town)!
I advise everyone!)
1. Judgment choice, at the same time, half of the menu was missing.
2. The decor of a cheap canteen - our canteens are much better.
3. The scariest toilet of all the establishments I visited in Uzbekistan
4. Nothing, absolutely nothing national
5. I don't know that everyone is a fan of local fish. It's nothing special, and it's artificial. Come to the Volga and you will be happy.
The positive is not communicated.
I definitely don't recommend it.
The reviews are paid for, both here and on YouTube channels. The reality is much worse.
There is a swarm of flies near the cafe. There is an aquarium with fish on the street near the cafe - it just smells incredibly strongly of rotten meat.
But I read the reviews, I was counting on delicious food - I decided to turn a blind eye to this.
Prices are not indicated on the menu, so it is called a waiter at random. We got any dish with meat from 40,000 soums. The quality leaves much to be desired. Everything is cold. The manta rays surprised me the most - there was no meat in them, only onions.
The waiters come only to bring in the dish. No one is going to clean up dirty dishes.
When they asked for an invoice, they found that several more positions were included in it. Maybe it was written about this show in the previous comments. After all, one waiter prepares "pay", you tell him that there are extra items in the receipt, he pretends that he does not understand, runs away; a new waiter approaches you - history repeats itself completely. And no, they were not mistaken - we were the only visitors at that time.
The result of the trip to the cafe was poisoning. I strongly do not recommend repeating my mistake.
It's a terrible place. It's dirty, cockroaches, they save on everything, the atmosphere of the cheapest eatery, prices are inadequately inflated, salads from 15,000! Fish by weight, from 100,000 per 1 kg, but of course, its weight will not be shown to you. They cheat by voicing the final score and add at least 20000-30000
I do not recommend it! The scariest toilet in the whole of Uzbekistan that I had to see! The service looks like the guests owe them something and have come to beg for something. The stench from the rag used to wipe the tables discourages any appetite. We came here because there are positive reviews, and they do not convey reality at all. Instead of paying for fake reviews, it would be better to think about the conditions, the environment and the quality of the food! Choose other places where it is at least pleasant to be
There is a really delicious shurpa here!
We sat down on the street, so we got both bread and circuses :-)
We took tea with lemon for a drink. Half a lemon was plopped into the kettle from the bottom of our hearts)))
In the end, they asked if we liked everything and invited more. In the evening we will go to barbecue.
Up: in the evening we finally got to the barbecue.
We realized for ourselves that when ordering tea, you should say "a little lemon and 1 spoonful of sugar."
At the time, it turned out like this: when we arrived in the morning, not everything was ready yet. We were told that everything would be ready by evening.
In the evening (at 20:30), not everything is left. Apparently, the evening is here at about 18:00, keep that in mind.
The price is about twice lower than in establishments inside the walls of the old city.
Yesterday, June 15th, we went to have a snack in the evening. We ordered mantas and a salad of tomatoes and cucumbers. The salad was good, and the mantas were given to the cat (it was not possible to eat them), not tasty from the word at all.
They are not interested in visitors.
The waitress walks around with a disgruntled face. I'm sorry. It feels like he's about to say "what's coming". We didn't have time to try the food
The kitchen differs from the neighbors only in fried carp, which I have not tried. The prices are identical. The soup and the cradle are delicious. The interior is, to put it mildly, simple. The toilet is outside, which is a very serious disadvantage in the cold season. The location is outside the fortress. Being a tourist, living in a nearby hotel, I did not go a second time.
I really didn't like the attitude of the staff..I don't know why, probably because I'm from Russia...but for the first time in Uzbekistan, the attitude was simply disgusting!!!
The main advantage of this place is that there is cold draft beer. Located next to Ota Darvoza (Main Gate)The menu range is not very rich. The staff understands Russian at least a little. You can sit at the cot or at the usual tables. A full meal for 3 people will cost about 150,000 soums.

Manta rays are not tasty, there are a lot of veins and fat, they are felt in the mouth, besides, there is a gnashing of sand on the teeth and a small stone got caught. We took soups, you can eat a solid four for them. It can be seen that manti and samsa have been cooked for a long time, they were simply warmed up when serving. The staff practically does not know Russian. Prices are slightly above average. I do not recommend it!!!
It's not expensive, but the food is decent to the prices

Delicious food, prompt service, you can choose both a tapchan and a table with chairs. Outdoor and indoor seating. The only negative is the whistling / squeaking sound of the pump at the aquarium.
Tables and trestles are under the trees, it's comfortable here in the heat.
The shish kebab is delicious, at normal prices.
A cradle and a stick of beef kebab, lettuce (cucumbers, tomatoes) and cola 0.5 came out for 60,000 soums.
If you come to Khiva, do not rush to look for food in the walls of the old city! Exit the main gate, turn right, reach the end of the wall, cross the road and in front of you is a simple but very sincere institution! Everything is delicious here! Shish kebab, ground (lyulya), and stung carp is generally a good thing! And at prices 2-3 times cheaper than in the walls)
Thank you very much!
