A hotel that leaves a double impression: it is beautiful, but somewhat tired; the buffet food is simply a masterpiece (a very rich assortment and service); the staff is helpful; the territory is well maintained, but the rooms are not cleaned and I had to remind them of the need to replenish the bathroom with shampoo, gel, etc. (after that, the problem does not repeated). The hotel is not fully oriented towards Russian-speaking tourists (books, magazines in the library, hotel brochures are exclusively in German and English), but there is a Russian-speaking staff and the attitude towards all vacationers is equally hospitable (personally, I did not notice any differences or negativity). I didn't like going into the sea - it was a long walk over dead corals. But the sea itself is magnificent. Wearing a mask, you can admire the underwater world - fish, stingrays and even turtles. I had a rest from 18 to 28.04.2025. For the last three days, after 10 a.m., the sea has dropped 100 meters, exposing the corals. But this did not prevent those who wanted to swim in the amazing clear sea. Upon arrival, they check in quickly, without waiting until the official check-in time is 14.00 hours. I arrived at 8 a.m. They immediately put on a bracelet, sent me to breakfast, and after that, within half an hour, I was already in the room. Various drinks, including beer, are served on the beach and by the pools. They offer masks made from fresh cucumbers, frozen rolls of terry napkins. There are always enough places on the beach and by the pools, no matter how many times you come.
A very cool and beautiful hotel for those who are looking for a calm, measured rest. For the first time, I didn't want to "run away" from the hotel, I wanted to walk and enjoy my vacation. Everything is fine with the food, but they don't know how to make cocktails - it's true, the alcohol I tried (wine and beer) are normal. Very tasty ala-kart Steakhouse restaurant, good service, the restaurant is clean!!! A great reef, I didn't want to dive, snorkeling was enough. A large and nice room. I would have come back.
We returned from Makadi Spa today. The hotel left me with an ambivalent impression. The food is excellent, and entering the sea requires special slippers, otherwise you may injure your feet when entering the sea. Several reefs are accessible from the hotel beach, with a mask you get into the world of extremely beautiful and diverse fish. The rooms are large and comfortable. But! In my deeply personal opinion, the rooms, and especially the corridors, require renovation. The feeling of a good hotel that hasn't been renovated in 8-10 years. At the same time, the linen, room service, and food are excellent. Probably, a lot depends on the location of the room. The room with a sea view is beyond praise.
We had a huge balcony, practically a third room besides the bedroom and living room. Such a balcony-terrace is a special pleasure.

We were in December 2022 at cat.Christmas. Overall, it's great. The European poor, mostly pensioners, vacationers at this hotel, look for Russians for company in the neighboring ones. The spa is completely missing from the name. Excellent territory of 4 hotels nearby. The reef is super in a nearby hotel. The food is normal, even not bad for Egypt. The tips are, leave a tip in the place where you plan to eat constantly, walk along the beaches, you can walk very far along the bay, if you plan, there is nowhere to do shopping, only Hurghada (for non-bloggers it is a bit far). Excursions are a choice for everyone, but we decided for the future, only fishing, yachts and everything nearby, no Bedouins, luxors, etc. on foot along the beaches you can walk to different piers, water activities, etc., it looks easier than analogues with an operator.

January 2023. This is my first trip to Egypt. We tried to choose a good tour, not the cheapest in price, with a high rating, 18+ without parties. 8 days cost us 80,000 rubles for two. And now the impression of the trip.
We booked a regular room, but we wanted a good view from the window and additionally decided to pay extra for this service. The upgrade cost us 50 euros. The room has a great view from the window, a large balcony, a huge bed, two sinks, a dressing room. But all this is outdated and it is clear that it has been used by a large number of people. The shower head is not attached, the dust is as if things have not been touched since the opening. There is a smell of dampness. As it turned out later, there are rooms on the sunny side. Pay attention to this when checking in.
The room has a mini bar with water, cola, fanta and sprite. The cleaning is very persistent. They knock every day at 10 a.m. and ask to get out. Changing towels every day. But there's always a tip waiting for you after cleaning. It is worth not leaving money, as soon as some kind of jamb with cleaning. Either the towels will not be changed, or the Coke will not be delivered. You ask to bring it, they forget and don't bring it at all. It's funny that they don't even take small local bills. Waiting for euros and dollars 😅
There are a huge number of restaurants on the territory. But the food in them is almost the same as on the buffet. 5 restaurants give invitations upon check-in. The most delicious is Japan. You don't have to go to the rest. I attach a photo of soup from a steak restaurant😂😂

Coffee is free, only instant. Natural for an additional fee. Only 4 types of ice cream are free, the rest are for an additional fee. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, but it is free only at the reception. If you want to stay in the room, then pay 40 euros. And basically prepare a lot of cash to pay for your expenses.
The sea is amazing! The entrance to the sea is only in shoes, otherwise you can cut yourself on rocks and corals. And don't forget the mask. The underwater world here is amazing.

There are a huge number of swimming pools on the territory. We didn't have time to go around everything. There are always sun beds and a towel for sun beds is changed every day in the room.
There are almost no Russians. Mostly Germans and Austrians. It's always quiet and peaceful. There is no animation, but it is not needed here, since it implies a calm kind of rest.
The alcohol is local, the cocktails are not delicious. Beer poisoned us once. It is better to buy alcohol at duty free, but keep in mind that the store is very small at Hurghada airport. Everyone is trying to shop in Moscow. We didn't know and therefore had to pick up at the airport upon arrival. There are no prices on the bottles. Everything is sold for more. Also, in Egypt, the transportation of only 2 liters per person is allowed. But the duty free of Hurghada does not put a mark, so apparently such inflated prices.
About the service. I want to give a separate paragraph here. There are a lot of staff at the hotel. Everyone smiles and says hello. But they do it solely because they want money from you. Always and everywhere. It got to the point of absurdity when they start fighting in front of the guests over tips 🤦🏼♀️ I believe that tips should be given from the heart and with a sense of gratitude. And here you find yourself being held hostage by the local mafia staff😄
Before leaving, a man came for the suitcases and started begging for money. He followed us around, showed us how he was rolling our suitcases. All he had to do was hold out his hand and say: here's the money. He was so persistent.
Overall, the hotel is good for 2017. But it's already 2023! There is a feeling that there is not enough manager who would drive the staff and monitor the quality of their work.
The taxi driver said that the owners of the hotel are siphoning off money and are not investing in the hotel at all. You can feel it.
You can turn on the indifference and enjoy the sea 😄 There are more fish in the sea than snorkeling. There is a coral reef right off the coast, so there are a lot of fish and all are stunningly beautiful.
Terrible hotel, everything is falling apart. There was nothing to eat, there were 10 days and there was no variety at all. The staff only smiles when there is a tip. Do not take WiFi for money, it costs a lot of money, but it does not catch everywhere and definitely does not pull on your money.
We visited the hotel for the second time in early September. The hotel is great. A little unawakened after a forced downtime. The service is excellent, the staff is polite, the food is sufficient, the room cleaning is excellent. I especially wanted to mention the young people who cleaned our floor - EslamRamal and MoustafaFathy. They are very diligent. Any request was fulfilled quickly and with a smile. We were satisfied with the rest.
