Great, it's a rare assessment for a hotel I've been to. The first thing that was needed was food, namely breakfast always, and a choice of lunch / dinner.
There are 3 cafes on site. On the G-floor there is a buffet breakfast with a fairly wide selection, and an omelette to order with various additives, and coffee machines. But the buffet hall is closed for lunch/dinner and you can choose dishes from the business lunch menu. They do not cook quickly, so half an hour for a 3-course lunch should definitely be laid. And the drinks are only water.
On the 1st floor there is a cafe with a grill, and a buffet for lunch/ dinner, where you can definitely find food and drinks to your taste. On the other hand, there is a bar in which there is a pleasant atmosphere for eating and drinking outside in the evening, but the comfort is spoiled by heat and dust + noise from huge mobile air conditioners.
I was especially pleased with the outdoor pool, because it is really huge and cool, which is important in hot weather. There are always free sun beds, there is a shower and towels. The Burj Khalifa high-rise is actually visible from the pool, but during the show it glows from the side, and it is not visible from the pool.
The room, the shower, the pool and generally everywhere in the hotel is very clean and modern. They clean up every day. They try to adhere to the "sustainable development" system.
It is convenient that the hotel's branded application is on the TV, you can view overview information about the hotel. There are also several ways to connect a phone to transfer an image from it to a large screen and watch whatever you want.
There are doormen on the street who try to help, and drive the car to the parking lot if necessary, and offer their own transport for money instead of a taxi. But it's really cheaper by taxi, and it arrives quickly.
There is also a shuttle service to various places in Dubai. If I were them, I would add delivery to Blue Waters, because it's a long walk to the subway (the navigator says about 40 minutes). But there is a delivery to the palm tree to a partner hotel, which has sun beds on the beach under umbrellas and access to pools and showers. You can also get back by bus, which brings a new batch of vacationers.
There are several small food shops near the hotel, and a pharmacy is a 15-minute walk away. There is nothing else interesting nearby, because it is located away from the metro and the beach area. But it's a huge plus that you can get to the airport in 10 minutes by taxi.
All reception staff speak English, and are sympathetic to the fact that customers' language level may be quite low.
Upon check-in, they may ask for a deposit of 100 dirhams for each night (it is written on the booking), but in fact they did not ask. But they charged 75 dirhams for an early check-in and you can sleep without waiting for 15 hours. Meals can be paid at the reception if they are not included in the room rental.
The Internet works great in common areas and in the room.
All the staff are very friendly. Special thanks to the short Asian girl for her special positivity, attention and memory (she remembers which room I'm from and especially welcomes me at the cafe counter on the 1st floor).
They try to solve any issue.
Queues for elevators, boring breakfast. Different occupancy of rooms of the same category (many on request).
It's not the best location (everything is close by taxi, but a walk to the embankment is all over the place, you can't get through).
In general, a normal hotel.
The high rating of the hotel misleads people. I would just book another one! I've been to a lot of hotels in Dubai in tourist and business areas. If someone really left a high rating, it's people who stayed for 1 night, they didn't have time to fully enjoy the lack of service, or people who had previously been in 2-3* hotels, this hotel pulls just 3 * maximum.
- There is no service here. Endless waiting. Rudeness and snide grins. The hotel provides a trip to the beach on Palma, but you need to register at least a day in advance (registration takes about 1 hour- you stand in line with the employee responsible for booking the beach, then you stand in line at the reception, then again to the first person). And while I was standing in lines, they just already said that the seats were out on the bus, you can't book! This employee only works during the day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. somewhere. Even if I completed this quest in some way, I paid 200 dirhams for two, and it's not a fact that there will be seats on the bus eventually the next day.
- The lighting in the room is just terrible, designed purely for rest and sleep, and the girls, for example, need to get ready and put on makeup in some way. I open the door to the hallway.
- The breakfasts are mediocre. Level 3*. On the first day, the waiter took away my plate of hot food and just took and put all the dirty dishes in the food on the table. The devices do not change.
- A bouquet of flowers was delivered to me. The staff has a dead end. Considering the lack of everything in this hotel, I immediately listed a vase or a bucket or an urn, anything. They immediately refused, after my indignation they promised to look for it, there were 3 more calls and no result. In other hotels, after the first request, employees come and help, here they just brought them back to shaking (each time they explain the situation to a new employee and everyone says they will call back). In the end, they promised to do everything and just scored and that's it.
- Pool area in the shade.
There is a huge number of staff, any issue takes a lot of time and nerves and in the end is not solved.
