We had a rest in April 2023. The hotel is a little tired, there is no transfer to the beach. Nevertheless, everything works, the staff is polite, always happy to help. They moved us to another room without any problems, as they changed the carpet on the floor and it smelled like glue. Moreover, the staff of the hotel itself was invited to change the room. We lived on the 17th and then on the 16th floor. The windows are dirty, however, as everywhere in Bahrain because of the constant sand. There are many supermarkets, cafes, and a pharmacy around the hotel. There are no problems with parking. We had an early flight, we had breakfast with us. The pool did not work, it was renovated in the month of Ramadan, there were no discos either. The room has everything: hair dryer, shampoo, shower gel, kettle, coffee, tea. We are happy with the rest. Breakfasts are not always varied, but there is a choice and everything is quite tasty. From the photo there is only a view from the window.
We had a rest from December 21 to 28, 2018. The location of the hotel is convenient, there are two supermarkets nearby where you can buy everything you need, near the Oasis shopping center - you can walk. View of the Arabian Gulf from the room. We rented cars, left them in the parking lot on the ground floors. The hotel is very clean, carpeted floors, cleaning every day, but sometimes I had to ask the reception to report the shower accessories. Our room was 1103, on the 11th floor. The club in the hotel is located on the 7th floor, so we sympathized with the guests on the 6,8,9 floors, the music is booming from Thu to Sat.. The breakfasts are decent - fruits, omelets, pasta, meat, juices (not jupi :)), coffee, teas. In general, I liked it very much, an original country with a history!
VERY GOOD REST
So it's time for another review. This time our choice fell on a country unknown to many: Bahrain. We thought and doubted for a very long time. Since the reviews are contradictory and after Tunisia I did not want to spoil such a long-awaited vacation. As they say: stop making the same mistakes. Be creative! Make new ones! Therefore, we decided not to be afraid of anything but to fly to a place where the foot of a Russian tourist has rarely set foot!
Living by the principle: to find time to relax, because work will always be, and life has a place to end: We flew and chose the DIVA hotel. In previous reviews, everything is described in great detail, I can only add our experience and impressions. I must say right away that we were not at all disappointed that we chose a city hotel, the transfer to the sea did not bother at all, and in the evening there was always somewhere to go and take a walk. Unlike those tourists who chose a hotel with its own beach, and then spent the whole vacation worrying about the fact that there was nowhere to go and nothing to do.
The hotel is certainly not very new, the furniture is shabby, in some places even very, the view was of a neighboring building under construction, through a not very clean window. The room itself is large, two-room. But there's a huge window between the rooms... probably so we can watch each other like fish in an aquariumThe bathtub struck with its cleanliness and novelty. All disposable items were regularly replenished, towels were changed, I didn't worry too much about the cleanliness of the room, because I'm not Elena Letuchaya. I came to relax, not to run around with a cotton swab and check the number of bacteria on the rim of the toilet.
About the food at the hotel, having read that Bahrain is an expensive country. And it's really expensive. (This is the first vacation when I returned with the money back, because I was sorry to spend money on something that I can buy at home 10 times cheaper), we took breakfast and dinner.
A proper breakfast is the key to a good day! Especially correct, I consider breakfast ... at lunchtime ... by the sea ... together ... So ... the food at the hotel is simply delicious, not just delicious but very tasty, there is no variety, BUT ! the quality of the food is at the highest level, I am a fastidious person in food, but in this case everything was just great. Once we came with a bottle of wine. It was opened to us and glasses were brought, no one looked askance.
About the guide: how much we travel......well, never in all my travels have I met a hotel guide who would not persistently sell excursions. It was so clear in his eyes.... "If travel was free, you would never see me again."
The prices for excursions are simply sky-high! We rented a car (near the Marriott hotel) and traveled almost the whole country in two days, taking into account the fact that the camel farm is free, the zoo costs 1 bach Rhenish dinar ..., the military museum is free, it costs 1.5 dinars to stop by the moth, the slave turns out to be just fantastic. Remember: "The true purpose of your trip is not a place on the map, but a new look at life." Feel free to go, do not be afraid: we got lost a couple of times, arrived at some naval base, no one shot at us, but politely explained where to go, where to turn off. Everything is clear on the road, everyone is driving according to the rules, no one honks, even if we were a little bit stupid. You can go everywhere by yourself, and it's much cheaper than with a group on the bus…A slight misunderstanding occurred when we returned the car, it turns out that in two days it was impossible to drive more than 400 km. They tried to withdraw more money from us. But since we were not warned about this, we defended our 10 dinars! We did not figure out public transport, we did not understand how and where it goes ... so we drove in a circular, went to the market ... well, there is one Chinese product, at Bahraini prices.
The transfer took me and took me to the beach strictly on time, the beach itself is very clean and well maintained. There are a lot of sun beds, umbrellas and pillows, and of course the water itself ... it is unrealistically beautiful and warm. I generally like it when you swim and sweat Since the country is not yet very trampled by Russian shales, there is enough space for everyone. There are not so many people, no one occupies the sun beds in advance. However, there is absolutely nothing to do on the beach. The music is playing, then apparently someone at the console gets tired and it stops for several hours. There is a place to have a snack, but our compatriots, taught in past battles, happily nibble boiled eggs from breakfast and toast on the beach. In cafes near the beach, no matter how many times we ate, everything was not delicious, except coffee and ice cream.
The weather at the end of November was changeable. The warm sweaters came in handy, it even rained, but it was still very comfortable to swim and relax.
In general: it's worth going for the money that we paid, yes there is a lot of construction, a lot has not yet been done, but very calm ... few people, there are few everywhere on the beach and in hotels and in public places, therefore it is quiet and comfortable.
Remember: You don't have to live. Traveling is necessary
