In principle, the staff tries very hard to keep it clean, but due to the fact that the repair is not the first freshness, there remains a feeling of disorder. The rooms have a hair dryer, there is no refrigerator, there is no seef, there are always problems with Wi-Fi, then there is no one (upon arrival, we sat without communication for a day. There is a shop in the lobby (kept by local Russian speakers) prices are not much more expensive than in regular stores, SIM cards were bought here, tampons were criticized (and this is the only place in the district where you can buy them, they searched both pharmacies and shops, eventually found under your very nose)), something from cosmetics for tanning. Hello. A small review of the Thalassa Sousse 4* hotel (Tunisia). The review refers to 2016, so make an adjustment for 6 years.... It is two hours away from the airport. The territory is large, a gorgeous aqua park. The room stock is tired and probably needs repair. We lived in a bungalow by the pool. Actually, when you go on vacation to Egypt, Tunisia or something like that, feel free to reduce the star rating of the hotel by 1.5 minimum. I understood this perfectly well and did not expect much from the hotel .... Food. The usual Oriental "All inclusive". There was no red caviar, but my family was happy with the dishes... The coffee was great. Wine and beer are common. Yes, there were pandemonium and queues, but nothing critical. After all, the Soviet-Russian mentality in relation to freebies did its dirty work. During rush hour, the waiters did not have time to clear the dishes and bring food. (I hope the hotel management will put this in order). Water park. Wonderful. It's all good. The fact that local residents periodically came to the hotel, like for a "weekend", spoiled the mood a little. Therefore, queues were created for slides and porridge from people in pools. I recommend: Those who are not a fan of jostling, these days relax on the coast or go on excursions. Sea. The beach and the sea are gorgeous. The sand is magnificent. There are few people. There were police and military everywhere. There were riots in the country at that moment. But I didn't feel any discomfort. Money. Dollars are changed by a specially trained person at the reception. Naturally, you import small bills. There were no problems with the exchange. From the pleasant: I was very pleased with the ATV ride (parking was not far from the hotel). I also strongly recommend visiting the Medina in the city. There is a huge oriental market with a corresponding flavor. You can get to Sousse by taxi, there are no problems with this. Naturally, bargain everywhere, but without fanaticism, easily, with a smile and pleasure. What to buy: Leather items (wallets, belts, etc.), various oriental trinkets and spices. Coffee is required (probably better in beans). In the Medina, somewhere in the depths, not far from the stalls with gold, they sold nougat made of pistachios and almonds....It costs twice as much. The most incomparable!!! Be sure to buy it, but be careful, otherwise you will be offered the usual peanut. And this is not at all ... We bought 2 kg., but we ate it back at the hotel... I would recommend girls not to wear very open outfits outside the hotel and not to go to the city alone in order to avoid various incidents. After all, the local hot horsemen do not hold themselves well in their hands. (please, no offense). Of the disadvantages of the hotel, I would highlight the following: The staff does not keep up with such a large number of vacationers during breakfast and dinner. The same applies to cleaning the territory. It is clear that they are trying, but they are not keeping up. Periodically, a large number of vacationers. It's a little hard for a hotel. And another question for the owners of the hotel. Is it really impossible to pour beer and wine through vending machines into reusable plastic cups (like in a hotel in Crete, where I have been). Poor guys on tap in restaurants and by the pools can't cope with hordes of sufferers))) Working hands would be freed up and glassware would not be needed. Slash economy..... I hope the management will hear me. It seems that everything ... there are no comments to the reception, despite the fact that some of the reviews were bad ... I summarize. If you are a positive person, do not have big illusions about the four-star hotel, then you can safely come here. The hotel is very old, the buildings are dilapidated and are gradually being destroyed. The hotel administration did not check their liveability during the commissioning of the buildings. As we were told, the room has been renovated. Renovation is not a very high–quality wall painting and replacement of night curtains and that's it. There were 8 rooms on our floor, plumbing did not work when checking in at 5: someone does not flush the toilet, someone does not collect water, in one room a child came out of the bathroom with a mixer in his hands, somewhere there are torn hoses at the shower. The master was called, he turned out to be an electrician, smiles and says that everything is "Ok". Of course, this is not his area of responsibility, he called for help himself and 4 men repaired malfunctions, some tourists immediately asked to move out of this building. After a long journey, this is clearly not what you expect in a 4-star hotel for 200,000 rubles. Air conditioning is generally one of the main problems in the hotel. There are simply no air conditioners in common areas: at the reception, in the restaurant, in the corridors, etc. However, the most unpleasant thing is that they do not work in the rooms either. In this institution, the austerity regime is on everything and cool air enters the general duct system only from 18.00 to 6.00 in the morning, when there is no special need for it, and in the hottest hours the hotel administration actually forcibly expels guests either to the sea, where microscopic umbrellas or to the pools, where it is hot and African you burn even in a long-sleeve shirt, justifying this by the hotel's policy that they independently turn on the room air conditioning system only at these certain hours. In the room where we were accommodated, the common air duct did not work at all and did not turn on for 1.5 days, we lived this time with the door open, because it is impossible in such a small room on the sunny side otherwise, the same thing happened with the neighbors. As a result, no one believed us, we wrote complaints to ANEX, as we were told, the commission arrived that day and found no faults. Maybe they are not shown disgusting rooms with broken plumbing and a temperature like in a bathhouse? Many thanks to our hotel guide, she personally reached the director of the entire complex, but he also did not believe her: there was no limit to his surprise, because these rooms were renovated and how can it be that something does not work. Only after he personally made sure that there was a malfunction in our rooms, the heat was just terrible like in the oven, he offered to replace the rooms. The "restaurant" deserves special attention. There's no way to call this room a restaurant at all, it's a creepy, dirty dining room. The dishes were a constant problem during the whole vacation. It is impossible to find a clean plate, an unbroken glass, spoons – this is generally some kind of unprecedented luxury. They cleaned the dishes for other guests themselves, because the staff does not understand what their duties are at all. The hotel opened after a long downtime on 06/16.21, we stopped by on 06/23.21 and there were few guests, they did not have time to fill it yet, but such wild queues gathered at the giveaways that simply defies logic. Not only the dishes for eating were dirty, but also the places where it was cooked. Fried eggs with black carbon will remain in our memory for a long time. All the food is either undercooked: raw dough just flowed from pancakes and pizza, or overcooked so that it is unclear what you are eating: fish, liver or just a piece of coal. There are few chefs and their qualifications are not clear. For example, they just put the fish on the net for 10 minutes and went about their business. By the way, delicious food was only in these cases, when one of the guests fried his own lunch while the cook was walking somewhere. There are few staff, the equipment is very old and broken, stoves, barbecues, grills, tables, tablecloths are dirty, there is no ventilation, the food is disgusting and it is very unpleasant to be in the dining room. The funny moment was: there is only one coffee machine for the whole hotel! In the morning she was standing in the "restaurant", after breakfast two guys dragged her to the pool bar, and in the evening she was dragged to the reception bar. During our stay, a large number of tourists from Russia, a few from Ukraine and even from nearby countries stayed at the hotel, but on weekends the locals came. They made noise, behaved ill-mannered, littered the entire hotel, whether it was a club or a swimming pool, they didn't care. The situation with the coronavirus is generally interesting. All foreign tourists with tests, vaccinations, etc., and no one tests the locals for anything and will not check. In the dining room, they are served out of turn by whole crowds, from which the queue of all the others is just up to the entrance. I want to note that the attitude towards Russian-speaking tourists is kind of disgusting, as if we are not even second-class people, but much worse. The territory of the hotel is large, the flowers were even watered, but when this happened, there was no water in the rooms. There are a lot of pools, but they are dirty, in some places you can cut yourself on the tiles, and this happened to many children. The sun beds are very old, broken in the center, but covered with no less old and faded mattresses, so it was necessary to inspect everything before lying down. The net around the pool was also in a disgusting state, the main thing was not to forget about it and not to step on sharp plastic pieces sticking out of the overflow area. The beach was poorly cleaned, but they tried. The sea was clean and warm – this is almost the only plus from the whole vacation. As a result, I can say that the hotel is old, unkempt, dirty, hot, and the food is disgusting. The administration is not interested in the convenience of the guests, they absolutely do not care about any of your problems. The word service is not familiar to them at all, everyone and everything is rude. The main thing they say is, be glad that at least someone accepts you during the coronavirus years. We do not recommend this hotel as a place to relax.

The food was good , everything was included , there were many dishes in the dining room , there were always fruits and desserts . however, everything works according to the schedule . But! if you didn 't have time to have breakfast, there is a daytime restaurant on the shore, it started working at 12:30 and finished somewhere in 2-3 hours, but to sit there you need to go to the reception and tell for what time, the room where you live and the name , and you will get a trampoline voucher. On the ground floor (located below the reception) the food duplicates the second floor (although if there are 2 types of meat on the second floor separately, then on the first they put it in one pallet), but the restaurant itself is smaller and there are very few people, so I advise you to choose food there (the only minus is that those who choose the first place will not always be able to eat scrambled eggs, since the cook comes around 7.45-8.00 (breakfast starts at 7.00)) Very tasty pastries and bread. 2. Accommodation This is a direct problem for the hotel, most likely due to the peak season. We arrived at the hotel by 6 a.m., there were no rooms available.
