The shrine of the Tendai Kannon-in Buddhist sect is located on the outskirts of Tottori, just behind the shrine of another Buddhist sect, Soto Zen, Kotokuji with its garden. The path to the building lies through the northeastern part of the city, which is a private sector of houses, mostly made in the style of traditional Japanese architecture. Several small-leaved maples grow along the path to the gate, turning red in autumn. The courtyard of the temple is quiet, only the cries of birds and the murmur of water in a stream gently complement this silence. There are dense trees around, the temple is located against the background of mountains, and behind the sanctuary itself there is a lake on a hill. It's nice to just stand in the yard and enjoy the silence and clean air.
