The museum is located in the center of the tourist area, which makes it easily accessible to the public. The guides are excellent at telling and conducting excursions, which pleasantly surprises both children and adults. However, it should be borne in mind that information about the museum and its contents may not be available in English, which may complicate understanding for foreign visitors.
The museum itself did not impress my family, but the architecture of the building is top class, I enjoyed it more while the kids touched the exhibits, fortunately it is allowed in this museum
The exhibition Georgia of the Stone Age deserves attention. The guide is 80 lari, the ticket for two is 60 lari, and this is about 4500 rubles for a second. An electronic guide for GEL 20 is paid only with a card that does not work. But fortunately, there is a lecture by Drobyshevsky on YouTube, where, in his characteristic manner, he talks about skulls and about Stone Age Georgia. The pleasure is guaranteed.
The museum is quite small, the artifacts are displayed in quite a random way, the descriptions are sparce, and the general atmosphere is sad. There was also a museum attendant who was making various sounds with her phone, disregarding the visitors and, if I can say that, her role. Disappointing except for the food court inside the same building (picture).
The exhibits are undescribed and there are very few of them. In most cases, it is not clear what they have to do with the history of the city (a lot of all sorts of objects from the 19th century brought from Europe or something like that)
It's not interesting and it's not worth your money
. The only thing I liked was the layouts of buildings, but it's still not so cool to look at them without a description
