A good place to stay for a short time in the historical part of Istanbul, there is a better one. But that's not the worst part.

The location of the hotel is the best you can think of for sightseeing or taking public transport. There are all the shops nearby, if you need something small, and a currency exchange office (as it turned out, not everything is as close as near the Taihang)
The hotel is not new (historical center), but the linen is clean, the room is clean. The girls are maids, very polite and pleasant, always wondering if something was needed.
There is even an elevator!
Breakfast... purely economy-economy.
The most unpleasant thing is the smell of smoking!!!
Smoking is allowed in the lobby of the hotel. The hall is connected to all floors by a continuous air flow! Therefore, in the evening we had to plug the gap at the bottom of the room door so that the smell from smokers from the lobby on the 1st floor would not get into the room on the 4th floor!

The hotel is located in the Fatih district, close to the main historical attractions. There is an inexpensive dining room nearby where you can have a delicious snack. I really liked the hotel. Clean, the service is excellent. Daily cleaning and change of bed linen. I had dinner included. it consisted of four courses. Very tasty. The location is relatively close to all the attractions. You can walk to the tram stop uphill in 20 minutes or to the S-Bahn station in 10 minutes on foot.

Conveniently located, close to attractions. The tram and the Grand Bazaar are within walking distance. The repairs were probably done a long time ago, the situation is very tired. The manager is Russian-speaking, the staff is not. There are many cafes and shops on the street. There are several supermarkets for locals, but they need to be searched carefully. Food prices are much lower there. 1.5 l bottle of water 5 lire. At the hotel, 0.5 costs 10 liras. A good three-star hotel. Helpful staff, especially the hotel staff who work at the reception. The breakfasts are monotonous, the same thing every day - two types of local cheese , sausage, inedible in appearance, vegetable snacks, eggs and yogurt without additives. Every day, many guests from different countries check into the hotel. Good location, close to all historical attractions. But the street where the hotel is located is very noisy , there are many small shops and eateries with local food and various goods. There is a good cafe near the hotel , prices are low compared to other eateries and almost everything is cooked on the grill. You have to be careful when calling a taxi, taxi drivers constantly deceive tourists, it's better not to drive alone. As it is, Istanbul has become an expensive city compared to what it was two years ago. A guided sightseeing tour of historical sites costs $ 70. In terms of time, it takes 5 hours. I expected more from the trip, I was in Istanbul for 7 days.

It's not bad for its price range. Cleaning every day (!). The rooms are tiny, but clean. The refrigerator and air conditioning were working. The breakfasts are monotonous, but quite decent. I am currently staying at the hotel. The location is great, everything is nearby. Breakfasts are like everywhere else, you are quite full. The cleaning is excellent, Wi-Fi too. There are a lot of cafes around, at sooo good prices, I advise you! In the Lalleli area or Sultanahmet Square, prices will be 3 times higher.

The hotel is perfect for a budget holiday format, when you only need to spend the night at the hotel. the rooms are very clean, the staff is friendly, the location of the hotel is generally not bad. The hotel is old, the door did not close from the inside (there are traces of the chain, but there is no chain itself, this was already written in a previous review), so they changed the room so that at least the door would close. The audibility is super, you can just hear everything, like coughing, talking, flushing the toilet, etc. A lot of migrants, especially Africans.The room is cleaned, the soap and shampoos were constantly updated, the garbage is taken out. There was a hair dryer, but it didn't work. Breakfast is meager, but we had enough, we are women, there would be problems with men, there is nothing to eat. Smoking is not allowed in the room, but there is a well-established smell of cigarettes in the corridor. I do not

Cozy and clean hotel in the historical part of the city. There is a viewing platform on the roof, in the evenings at sunset it's nice to sit and take pictures of the city and seagulls. I let the electrician down - in a neat, well-decorated room, an old condey with hanging wires on an extension cord, there are no sockets near the beds (gadgets can only be charged on that extension cord under the condey), and the socket in the shower is right next to the sink, all splashes on it. Otherwise, everything is wonderful.

The rooms are old and shabby. The bathroom door wouldn't close because it was sagging. The entrance door to the room also does not close, there is no latch, but the frame remains from it. The service is normal. A huge minus is the Cleaning service that starts cleaning the floor at 7 or 7. They talk loudly, laugh. When asked to be quiet, they tell you to go to the reception and communicate with them. At the reception they smile, pretend that they do not understand Russian or English, although they speak English quite well in any other address.
The breakfast is normal, the service is also good. + this place has a roof terrace with tables, you can have a good time.

We stayed at the hotel from October 13 to October 20, 2023. We were very satisfied:polite and helpful staff, very good breakfasts. The rooms are cleaned daily, detergents are added daily. If there are questions, they are solved instantly. Great location. It has already been written here that there is a cheap but at the same time a good dining room, women's and men's hairdressers at affordable prices. Probably quite decent for its price
The meager breakfasts that have already been written about have not changed.
According to the choice of food with dinners, they apparently give what they have, there is no choice at all. But both dinners that I had a chance to try were quite pleasant to myself, it's a pity they didn't always give at least some salad.
The room turned out to be quite good for this price. There were no animals.
The cleaners really start chatting and knocking on doors early in the morning, but it only prevented the first day, then I wanted to sleep. 😄

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days. During my stay, I did not notice any factors interfering with or spoiling my vacation. The room is comfortable, it was cleaned regularly. The Russian-speaking cleaners were pleased). The quantity and variety of food for breakfast also did not disappoint, you will not stay hungry. The location of the hotel is very convenient, the main attractions can be reached on foot. Pharmacies, supermarkets and cafes are located near the hotel. That's about it, thank you.

We liked it, we were out of season at the end of January, flew for a walk, and not to sit in the room, by the way, it's not cold at all in January (considering that there is no heating in Istanbul in principle), even aired in the mornings and after walks. Cleaning every day, clean, deserted, towels (6 pieces for two), shampoo / gel / soap (but I took my own), no dental kit, a hair dryer from the 80s with a thick sleeve like a vacuum cleaner, but quite working, breakfasts (delicious coffee, the rest is three, but they took with breakfast, so that you don't run hungry in the morning, but eat outside the hotel. In general, taking into account the fact that we prefer business halls and service, we did not find fault here, since, I repeat, we flew not to chill, but to walk around Istanbul. The whole street is full of shops and cafes, about the second line from the sailor, 400-500 meters to the tram, we walked 30K steps, because we only slept in the room. I recommend it to those who fly to Istanbul for the same purpose

I liked the hotel as a whole. Not expensive - the thickness of the walls, the size of the rooms, the breakfasts correspond to the price. The rooms are clean, the linen is clean, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom is of normal size, the window has a view of the wall of another hotel. The staff is friendly, they understand Russian, English too. Coffee for three; therefore, after breakfast we went out, went to the right, crossed the road through a couple of buildings, there, on the 1st floor of the 5 🌟 hotel, we took coffee and started our day. The prices in the shops of this area are the lowest - a bag of $ 20 is a little closer to the center of $ 200. On the left, delicious Turkish delight and baklava. The views are not picturesque, but you can walk to the beauty for this price difference.

The second time we come only to Taihang. I am very satisfied with everything, the staff is excellent, they are always ready to help. As you go out and to the left is the dining room, we ate only there, the prices are very acceptable and everything is delicious. Above, they correctly wrote about lukum, baklava - it is also nearby. The prices are excellent. If I bought lukum at the Grand Bazaar for 600, here they are 230 rubles per kg. In general, next time I will choose Taihang again.

Good day to everyone.I was in Istanbul for work in early April.I stayed at the Tayhan Hotel.I initially chose it because of its proximity to
the tram .Literally 500 m up the street. In general, I did not lose the place, the hotel is super , cozy, breakfasts are normal...everything is modest, but you will not leave hungry Tea , coffee, water are all on the level.Drinking water can be collected in a cooler in the restaurant.. Shampoos and gels were replenished every day.The room was cleaned.The TV, the air conditioner and the refrigerator are working. The water is hot and cold without interruptions. Employees are ready to help with advice and business at the first request.I had a late check-in after midnight.All without problems.They even gave me tea .A nice lounge with a TV and upholstered chairs.WiFi bkz outages.I was working quietly. Everything is clean, there is a gorgeous observation deck on the roof..By the way, there are a lot of attractions nearby.And a cafe with a wide selection of dishes to the left of the hotel.Shops...In general, choose this hotel and you will not regret it.

A cozy hotel. We lived in a 2-bed non-smoking room, the beds are large, the necessary furniture is available. There is a refrigerator, hairdryer, TV. A comfortable bathroom with a shower cabin. All linen was changed after 3 days, daily cleaning, rooms are clean, periodic sanitation.
Breakfast is a varied buffet: 2 types of cheese, sausage, olives,vegetables, cottage cheese,HALVA,several types of cereals (with milk), 3-4 types of coffee and more. Everything is fresh and delicious.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The historical center is within walking distance. We found a way to the embankment, where we rested in the evenings.
To the left of the exit is an inexpensive dining room and a wonderful pastry shop, where they tried sweets "a little bit at a time".
We recommend the hotel!!👍

At the end of January 2022, we took a week-long tour to Istanbul from the Pangea tour company, on the advice of Natalia Babailova, the tourism manager. We lived in the Taihang hotel, which is located in the old part of the city, near cafes, shops, many attractions within walking distance. The view from the window over the Bosphorus Bay, there is an observation deck on the roof. The breakfasts are very good and there are hot soups delicious. The staff is responsive, friendly, the room was cleaned every day, linen, towels and slippers were changed. All these are pluses, there were no minuses for us. We recommend this hotel to everyone. We have been working with manager Natalia Babailova for 8 years, she selects wonderful tours for us, we are grateful to her. Tatiana and Anna.

Don't even come here! We are here for the third day and the impression of our stay.... The most interesting thing is that the hotel "surprises", and I'm sure it will surprise more. Firstly, at the reception you are very difficult to understand, they do not know Russian, well, God forbid, they also understand English every other time. We took a double room, the room is the most adequate of all offered in this hotel, the girls clean well, it doesn't seem cold, exit from the window to the slums. There is no sound insulation, you can hear the neighbors snoring and snuffling at night. But the most interesting thing is breakfast! Some sauces, yes jams, two types of cheese, sausage, which even the cat did not eat, some kind of white mass called yogurt and lentil porridge. I attach a photo of breakfast below, watch and be amazed by yourself. I had a bad impression of the hotel, especially after breakfast. In this area, you can find a better place for such a price, with normal breakfasts!!!
