Walking through the "non-touristic" old Rhodes, I discovered this tavern in the late afternoon. I was already tired and had time to get hungry - why not come in) I ordered souvlaki (shish kebab), Greek salad (a lot!) and washed it down with Mythos beer. As a compliment, the old Greek brought a glass of Ouzo aniseed vodka = it was great!

We flew to Rhodes with my husband in 2018, booked the Mitsis La Vita hotel for breakfast and dinner, so we had to look for a tavern for lunch. "Zum zum" is located next to the hotel and attracted our attention with a beautiful traditional interior. There are beautiful paintings on the walls, all in white and blue tones. The elderly Greek was very kind and sweet. He constantly brought us compliments.
On the first day, we ordered gyros and yuvetsi with seafood. It was amazing!!! At the end of the meal, ouzo was brought to us. After a long flight and a night without sleep, I thought I would fall asleep right at the table. We went to the room and slept there until the evening.
The next day, my husband ordered souvlaki, and I ordered a stifado. And I almost swallowed my tongue again. After a delicious lunch, they brought us a glass of coffee alcohol for digestion, but I didn't remember what it was, like coffee ouzo. When we wanted to go there again at the end of the vacation, it turned out that the place was already closed, if I'm not mistaken, it was October 19, 2018.
The prices are expensive, but it's worth it!
I really hope to return to Rhodes...
