We flew three years ago from Novosibirsk on a direct flight. Issyk-Kul Airport is located in Kyrgyzstan and serves the city of Tamchi. Issyk-Kul is located 3 km from the city center. Both regular flights of 3 airlines and charters arrive at this airport. Small and colorful
A small airport, everything is fast, calm, you can buy magnets, water, coffee; it is very convenient to fly directly from the lake to Moscow; the staff is adequate, positive
When the plane landed, we saw the beauty of the mountains on one side and Lake Issyk Kul on the other.. a picturesque picture.. The airport is located from Cholpon - Ata resort in 40 minutes by car. The airport is small, everything is clean, the only thing that took a long time to pass Passport control (so it's better to arrive a little earlier). Everyone speaks Russian.
I used this airport for the first time, I was very pleased with the location. I visited Karakol, much closer than Bishkek. The waiting room is small but comfortable, the air conditioning is working, the staff is polite, there are no comments.
The staff is attentive and friendly. Everything is clear and fast. There is a waiting room, as well as everything else necessary. The location is comfortable. There is a cafe. Thank you. I recommend.
I am pleasantly surprised that there is an international airport in Issyk-Kul. Now you can stay without visiting Bishkek. So far, there are not enough comfort/services for passengers in the waiting area. It's a matter of time)))
Stone airport, very polite staff. The location is excellent. The waiting room is comfortable. I took off the star for the fact that I really wanted to eat, only pies and snacks from the food.
A small airport, we stood at customs control for a long time, one window was working. There was no place for a duty free store. In general, everything is fine for the small village of Tamchy from which you get to the local beauties: lake Issyk-Kul and the most beautiful mountains and gorges.
Very small, but quite comfortable, cafe, toilet, waiting room. All the staff are friendly and hospitable. There is a currency exchange point at the exit, young guys offer cheap SIM cards in the parking lot
I haven't seen such tiny airports for a long time)) But everything passes very quickly, the luggage is in the window, the border passes quickly, the guys are great, although we had one flight, if there were more, the queue would probably be long!
Quite a decent regional airport!! Of course, it's small, but clean. the inspection is attentive and prompt, there is a cafe. The staff is friendly. If you have to go there again, then the mood will not spoil!
The best airport, among those that I have seen with my own eyes. In any institution, without people, it is a museum.
And when competent employees with human relations get in, it's part of heaven.
There are few places to wait. It took a very long time to pass the inspection. The staff is normal, explained everything. If you do not order a transfer, then it is very expensive to take a taxi. Drivers swoop in right away and don't lag behind, if you don't want to, you'll agree. There is an exchange point nearby.
Clean, cozy, for a single-lane airport in the mountains, very much! The staff is friendly, the screens are entertaining, there is a small coffee shop, the toilets are modern.

A small but pleasant airport. All the screening and check-in procedures were carried out quickly, and the flight was comfortably awaited. Polite, friendly staff, I really liked everything! Thanks!!
It is a tiny airport, but nevertheless there are direct flights to Moscow and major cities of the Russian Federation. The halls are small, so mourners are not allowed inside, checking passengers according to flight lists. The staff is polite, and so is passport control. Everything is good and fast.
Since there are few detailed reviews, I will write in more detail. The airport is located almost on the shore of the lake, in the steppe. It's quite difficult to call it an airport, because it's just a small building with a runway. You can only go here if you plan to spend all your time on Lake Issyk-Kul or the cost of air tickets is 5 times cheaper compared to Bishkek. In other cases, there is no point in flying here. There is no infrastructure. You can only leave by taxi, for example, a full taxi to Bishkek costs from 3,000 to 4,000 som (depending on the condition of the car). If you take a minibus taxi, where 7-8 people are taken, then the fare will cost 600 som. Currency exchange is a small stall that is located on the street. You can pay for a taxi in rubles or local som (cards are not accepted anywhere, there are no ATMs).
Taxis leave due to occupancy, or you can pay, for example, for several places to go alone in your row.
Sim cards from a local operator are also sold on the street for about 200 rubles (in fact, these SIM cards should be free). It takes about 3 hours to get to Bishkek. They are brought to the eastern bus station.
If you are going to fly out of this airport, then you need to arrive almost at the landing, otherwise you will be waiting outside.
the airport is sooo small, it was very stuffy on arrival, the air conditioners did not work, on the passport.2 people worked at the control, you can go crazy, but it was more pleasant and easier to fly away, even the air conditioners were turned on.
There were few people, only 2 flights in the afternoon.everything is clear, registration and inspection were quickly completed.Thank you Issyk Kul, we will be back
Convenient location very Friendly staff Well done!keep it up, the management in emergency cases makes a quick aperative decision, which is not a little important (we had a flight delay) we were placed in a boarding house because there were many small children, special Thanks) the only thing is not the convenience there is no luggage storage!I would like to be delivered with luggage in our case, it was not very good, I want to wish Prosperity!!!
Geographically, it is very convenient to relax on Issyk Kul, but the low capacity at passport control and the clueless organization of passenger flows spoil the whole impression. There is no cafe in the waiting room. Just a small sideboard
A small airport. When we arrived, the suitcases were in the airport. There was no need to look for them on the tape, it's not there. But I think it will expand over time. And Duty free will appear).
An ordinary train station for airplanes. A haven for transit travelers from Europe to Asian countries. I really remember the smells of conservatism and fragrant rooms showing the local flavor.
The staff was disgusting because there was no representative, we bought tickets, they searched for us for a very long time and not only for us, a lot of people just sat waiting until they found us in the system and the staff did not come at all, they did not know what to do horror...
It's very small, more like a train station, but it's good that there are a lot of chairs in the interior and the air conditioner is working. But there are no shops, and the business hall is the same.
Small, cozy, fast, smiling. We passed the inspection and registration in 15 minutes. The cafe is quite small with a very modest selection of pastries, which will not even be warmed up. And yes, the big minus is the lack of duty free. And the last thing is to get on a plane on foot, just like in the good old USSR.
A typical regional airport "in one building". It looks like Gorno-Altaisky or Koh Samui.
Mountains, strip, one building 20x30 meters. The building has arrival/departure, check-in, customs, toilet, vending, cafe. Clean, compact, everything is simple.
The staff is polite, they work quickly👌🏻
The airport is very small, the benefit is that they take off on one flight, queues at customs (about an hour is needed to pass passport control). We traveled with a small child, so the mother and child room was relevant, I am glad that it exists, but it is very small, two small beds (while a woman without a child slept on one) and one illegal table. There are not many seats in the waiting room, and we flew out in early September, it was terribly stuffy at the airport.
A small provincial airport, but with its own border and customs.services. It's all glass and probably very hot in summer. But he may have a great future! A promising future for tourism and recreation! And this is a photo from inside the building,
Tiny airport, minimal service. From the good: at the exit they sell local SIM cards for rubles, consider that the Internet is provided for the rest time.
Oh-oh. This is a very romantic airport!! In the whole area there was only our Plane and the airport House and for some reason the bus that took us between this plane and the house.
The new airport is not suitable for transfers at all. But if you need to get directly to Lake Issyk-Kul, then it's great. How to get there at night is a big doubt, the airport is in the field. There is no transport.
A great, cozy airport. Central Asian Maldives! I advise you! There are a huge number of boarding houses with hot springs nearby! The location is convenient. Picturesque places. It's a pleasure to come on vacation!
A very small airport, operating only in the summer. 3-5 flights per day. Fast service (registration, inspection, control). Inside there is a small waiting room with air conditioning. A corner of a cafe with chips and soda.
Compared to Russian airports and large cities in other countries, this is the smallest airport I have seen. There is only one floor and two halls: the arrival and departure halls. The staff is all responsive. A small area at the baggage claim. All passport controls, registration on the same floor, in the same hall.
A small airport on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul. There are no special amenities, no duty free, not even a luggage belt. Suitcases are handed out from hand to hand. Unloading of luggage, by the way, is quite fast. The passport check takes longer than in Manas, although it is not critical.
But all these are trifles compared to the absence of the need to fly through Bishkek and then take a taxi or bus to the Issyk-Kul region for several hours. And if you remember about the frequent fogs in Manas in the winter mornings, you forget about all the problems in general.
It is very good that there are now regular flights from Moscow.
Old Tamchi, the size of the terminal with our village store, a stone was laid there this year, the authorities from Bishkek arrived, they swore to build a new one, tourists are rejoicing!
The most favorite interesting beach pristine miniature airport of my homeland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The baby is an airport. Everything is slower than at large airports, but the staff are very friendly. Nearby is the main highway of the Issyk-Kul region. SIM cards are sold immediately at the exit, there is an exchanger.
