Attention!
I am a 9th grade graduate of Tallinn Central Russian Gymnasium and I can no longer keep silent about what is really happening there.
Once it really was one of the best schools, but with the change of the principal and the school administration, everything changed over time.
Of course, we can say that you will get normal knowledge there... but at what cost?
Public humiliation by some of the teachers, pressure and not understanding your personal opinion. Students are also required to follow a clear dress code, and even because of a small picture on a T-shirt, you are sent home. I remember being sent home just because I was wearing light jeans and a black T-shirt with no drawings!
What is very important to note is that phones are also strictly prohibited at school while you are there. Okay in class, at recess! If a detector or a social worker sees you with your phone, they will simply confiscate it.
Many teachers at this school, just because of their own principle, do not make concessions to students and say "if you don't like something, go to a fee-paying school" there is also practically no respect for students and God forbid you somehow spoil relations with one of these "demons". Your grades will be underestimated. This School brought my former classmate to hysterics, many to depression, because there you will be bullied for the slightest flaw or oversight! While I was in elementary school, we were simply kept in fear!
"Did the pen fall to the floor? - a diary for the table and two for the lesson!!!" the class teacher screamed, bringing the child to tears. Because there is nothing to disrupt the lesson.
Of course, there are also good teachers, but their opinion is not taken into account.
You can study at this school, but.... ask yourself several times - will it cost your nerves and psyche?
