This restaurant is a real discovery for those who want to try Kazakh cuisine in a modern version. From the very first minutes, the atmosphere is impressive: stylish interior, thoughtful concept, a sense of comfort and hospitality.
But the main thing is, of course, the food. Here, traditional Kazakh dishes appear in a new light. Manti served in gyoza style, crispy eggplant salad with rich sauce, tender beef rib — everything is executed flawlessly. Tea is served in large bowls, which adds authenticity and makes the process even more cozy. As a compliment, we were treated to a dessert with chocolate ice cream, salted caramel and cotton candy — this is something special that cannot be forgotten.
A special pleasure is the service. The waiters do not just bring dishes, but talk about the concept of the restaurant, its history and idea. This creates a complete immersion in culture and traditions.
This restaurant is an ideal place to explore Kazakh cuisine at its best. We sincerely recommend it!
I loved this place when I lived there. It's always delicious, juicy, and interesting to serve, especially the jam with truffle sauce and kurdak. Stylish interior, cozy atmosphere. The service is excellent, the service is served at the pace of the evening. Interesting unexpected positions, for example, a dessert of koumiss or a cocktail with a fur coat - original and delicious. The prices are above average, but the quality justifies, the cuisine and service are excellent. A great place to have dinner or meet friends!
An excellent restaurant with a modern vision of Kazakh cuisine. I really liked everything we ate. The bar and cocktails are great! The interior is modern and cozy. The staff is lively, not intrusive, the service is fast!
Open kitchen
An interesting non-trivial menu with authentic cuisine
I recommend taking several dishes to the table, the portions allow
The stylish, warm design and uniform of the staff add the right "cherry on the cake".
It's a great place, I recommend it.
A super restaurant with delicious food and amazing service!
I've been here twice and I was thrilled both times. Especially in contrast to Siro, who was in the same room relatively recently and was not at all impressed.
From food: definitely take Caspian trout and samsa from snacks. It is incredibly delicious, I am ready to recognize only the meat pie from the Moscow Sage as an analogue of this samsa.
Of the hot ones, I tried lagman with steak and kulak nan (the modern reading of beshbarmak) — it was amazingly delicious and interesting from the point of view of getting to know these dishes from a new perspective.
But the desserts deserve a separate review, because these are the best desserts in Almaty that I have tried (and I have tried them enough).
Among the disadvantages: not very tasty dolma and baursaks (which is strange). But I was right after the opening and they told me that the recipe would be changed.
I would also like to thank the abr restaurant holding for the concept itself. I hope that in the future we will have more projects that will modernize and rediscover the tradition of the cuisine of peoples from the CIS countries.
A wonderful place with traditional cuisine in a modern interpretation. Everything was perfect: from the interior and the work of the staff, to the serving and taste of the dishes. Everything is designed in the national style, the chef brought his own highlights to each dish. The entire interior is made of local materials, as well as dishes. The work of waiters and hostesses is at the highest level. Thanks to this restaurant for the modern immersion in the national cuisine!
The food is a masterpiece (worthy of a Michelin star), the waiters are attentive and not intrusive.
The impression was spoiled by two women in black clothes with sour, dissatisfied faces who act as overseers. Dress them up neatly and make them smile. Or hide it behind a screen - let them look through the hole.
It also infuriates the type of "VAT" in the bill, which is wound up from above and so expensive dishes. What? Is it scary to raise the price even higher? I will return for such food for any money. But bullying with hidden margins is frustrating.
The restaurant is great, the cuisine is great, I liked everything, especially the little samsa. It's a bit expensive, but you can attribute it to the level of the institution.
Cool restaurant.....first of all, the main hall is on the second floor, the intrigue......once in the main hall, you are a little shocked, the hall and the kitchen, without partitions, resemble something like a master class! The service is good, the girls work hard! The dishes are unusual....It's the perfect place for me to meet....A quiet and fun place!
A good expensive restaurant, dishes from different regions of Kazakhstan are presented, delicious Kazakh tea with salt, baursaks, delicious locally caught fish, unusual combinations in salads, very polite and tactful waiters
Delicious, beautiful, good service.
I liked everything!
Of the disadvantages, I did not find how to leave a tip in the application, and I had little cash with me, I had to leave a small tip 🥲
I took the kaza tartare, crispy eggplant, dessert, lemonade and coffee.
That's great! Entourage, service, food - all for 5+
I took eggplant salad, potatoes and duck - everything is very tasty. The portions are average, just what you need so that you can try several different dishes
A very cool modern interpretation of Kazakh cuisine. Horse meat tartare and kaza tartare are highly recommended. Cocktail north is a fairy tale - you drink and feel that you are eating berries in the spruce forest, as in childhood.
The horse meat tartare was a great pleasure. A pleasant and popular place with friendly staff and delicious dishes of national and European cuisine.

A claim to a cool restaurant... The failure is complete. Friends invited me yesterday, I thought they were sorting it out...
there are only 8-10 tables in the restaurant, small, cute. An open kitchen. Half of the cocktails are delicious.
That's all the advantages.
The order was taken by a waiter who could not speak clearly... I was stunned. I can't make out anything. The diction problems are such that I asked everything 3 times! And still I could hardly guess half of it!!
We ordered snacks: samsa is ordinary, a little dry. A lamb kebab is a shame. Why submit such a thing at all?? It tastes better in the stall, again dry, tasteless.
Bread - served 1!!! 1!! A piece, for money, for three!!! Really 1 cut piece!!! I've never seen this anywhere!!! Farm bread...... There was something else, I didn't even remember it. The hot one is a rack of lamb, it sucks. They managed to ruin it!! The square is filled with some kind of sauce, half-cooked, you're barely sawing with a knife!! Lamb ..... Yeah...
the 2nd dish, some kind of specialty, pasta like beshbarmak, and kazy thinly sliced, fried like bacon. Well, it's OK, I ate a little, the dough is tasteless.
the 3rd course - cheeks - again, nothing special.
We waited for food for an hour!!!!
Even snacks for half an hour.
Why did you get 5 here???
The dishes are very good, except for the lamb rack. The kitchen is open to the guests, which probably gives a feeling of "haute cuisine". Good serving, but the output of the dishes is too small. The prices are quite high, but the contingent is appropriate. In general, the quadrature is well used, the location is fantastic, the service is on the level. The waiters are very tall.
It's a great restaurant. Delicious food I recommend

Kazakh cuisine in a modern interpretation, beshparmak turned out to be impeccable for all guests, extremely professional service, a check above average, but it's worth it, very tasty homemade sweets for dessert, spoiled guests from Moscow were satisfied)
