There are the best draniki on this vacation in Belarus! The national flavor is wonderful, polite and courteous waiter. Pancakes with fish are wonderful. I also recommend horseradish and cucumbers with honey.
For those who want to try Belarusian cuisine in a cafe with an appropriate setting, this place can be safely recommended. They welcome you cordially, they will prompt you with dishes
I sit, eat, write a review. So far, everything is decent. The food is delicious, the drink is always delicious. Minus a star - for a menu without Russian. Everything is clear without translation, but... Eng. there is. Rus. no.
They didn't let us in here, there was only a wake on one table, and we wanted to eat so much from the road.

Maybe we were unlucky with the kitchen on a particular day. But the food was definitely on the top three, the pancakes were not at all tasty (photo attached). It feels like it's not cooked in the restoration6, but at home, and clumsily. There are very few places in the restaurant, only a few tables, people who wanted to eat often came in, but they were turned around, because two waiters could hardly cope. We took two different dishes, and both for three. We have something to compare it with, we tried draniki in another restaurant in Minsk, and it doesn't even compare.
It seems that the previous positive reviews about this eatery were written by "brothers-in-law" at the request of the owners of the establishment.
It is absolutely not clear what a normal person might like here.
I'll start in order:
1. Bank cards are not accepted for payment. I have to run around looking for an ATM.
2. The menu is only in Belarusian and English. In principle, it is possible to figure it out, but it takes a considerable amount of time.
3. On Saturday evening, half of the strong alcohol from the menu was available. Moreover, they reported this 15 minutes after the order. In return, the waiter did not offer any alternative with which to replace the missing drinks.
3. The food is simply disgusting!
- assorted "Babkin's pickles" consists of a plate with a diameter of 13 centimeters, on which there are dull and withered pickles: Korean carrots, 10 circles of very thinly sliced pickled cucumber and 4 slices of mushroom of unknown origin. All this "joy" costs 10 bel. rubles.
- a separate story deserves "The Belarusian roast with turds". This dish consists of 5 pancakes, on which there is pork cut into cubes with sauce, in the manner of beef stroganoff.
So the meat and sauce are just wildly over-salted. Either this dish was prepared by a second-year student who was expelled from the culinary vocational school for failing, or the meat was so not fresh that they decided to disguise it with salt.
3. There are no toothpicks on the tables!!!
To my question where to get a toothpick, the waiter shyly took out a greasy jar from under the bar, in which three or four toothpicks dangled forlornly.
If this eatery saves even on penny toothpicks, is it necessary to talk about the freshness of the products, the quality of the dishes and the rest of the service???
My advice is, if you don't want to be disappointed, you'd better look for another place.
We regretted coming in. There is no menu in Russian. I had to use English, it's inconvenient. despite the fact that there is no Russian on the menu, but the music is Russian pop. This is strange. It's not cheap. The kitchen, well... In general, we will not go in a second time.
02.01.2023 - When asked how long to wait in time, at least it's amazing, they answered that they would cook and bring it, it was cold in the restaurant, the waiter said that now breathe and it will be warmer, the bacon was brought frozen!!! The morichek salad is also frozen!!!! The service is, to put it mildly, three out of ten.... Tinctures are rubbish, we really do not recommend it....
We tried to get in for two days, on the first day we went in without an appointment - there was a banquet (sometimes we took it for granted) we decided to book a table for the next day - no one called back and no confirmation came!!!! I called myself- a rude woman began to claim that we had already been refused, although there was no dialogue with any employee of this institution. And after that call, five minutes later, an SMS response was received to the submitted reservation request - with a refusal!!!! The atmosphere bribed me)))) at the entrance, everything is in the style of folk Belarus and a man may be a waiter walking around the hall in a folk shirt, but it did not work out that way to get pleasure from the kitchen. The service is zero-there is on the Internet, but they are not friends with the Internet (
A wonderful restaurant of Belarusian cuisine. The interior is in a national style, the dishes are very tasty, large portions, local horseradish is good! Friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant, as well as the whole of Belarus, left a wonderful impression!
The menu is oversaturated and unreadable , even the images of dishes do not save . Everything looks interesting at the entrance, but it's worth holding your gaze... and the hack and the lack of style and taste in the design become visible. The kitchen is satisfactory for 4 with a minus, if you do not take into account the cost... and the cost does not give indulgences to taste . But the main disadvantage is the service : it is indicated that they accept cashless payments , but not this time( . As a result: search for an ATM in an unfamiliar city , and then a load of non-convertible currency in the form of change . Complete anti-tourism
More recently,
we visited this cafe in order to eat national cuisine. To say that we are satisfied is to say nothing. Very colorful place, everything is very tasty. The portions are large. Thanks to Igor for the excellent service. They brought everything quickly, although they said to wait about an hour. The locals all recommended this cafe. We will be in Brest, we will come again.
I'm hesitating between a three and a four. If it were not for the claims to a super-place, there would be a solid four. The interior, the menu is only on the move, the waiter in an embroidered shirt - but somehow "we have an electric samovar and we ourselves are not sincere" (c) I know what delicious Belarusian food is) here it is rather quite usual, Eastern European cuisine, only mushrooms are salted in a plate of pickles, the rest is pickled and (suddenly!) in Korean))
Horseradish and potatoes with chanterelles are really good)
They did not order Belarusian pizza)
Excellent national cuisine! Low prices are both a plus and a minus (sometimes bad companies gather!) The waiters work fast, but they are not very communicative!
We decided to go in for a snack, it started with the fact that the lady answered the question "where can I wash my hands" rather sharply and in a boorish manner, "we were passing by", threw the menu on the table we chose, turned around and left.
Russian Russian is NOT on the menu - only Belarusian and English, When asked by the administrator to give the menu in Russian, she replied "aside": "there is no other". And she turned around and left again..
I did not quite understand what kind of attitude towards guests in a service establishment…
I decided not to spoil my mood further and went hungry.
I do not recommend this institution, if the staff allows themselves to behave like this, well ... then it is not worth wasting time on such an institution…
An interesting institution, I came here specially after visiting the Brest Fortress, but there was a banquet and they even allowed me to sit at a couple of free tables, but I decided that it would be inconvenient for both the banquet guests and us. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I liked the atmosphere. I'll tell you about the food and tinctures next time I look in.
The place is atmospheric. Belarusian dishes are cooked well. Of the disadvantages, you wait a very long time for cooking. They brought a boiling saucepan and had to wait for it to cool down at least a little so that they could eat. Mackerel fish was cooked for 3 and the side dish was a Mexican mixture from a package. My husband didn't like this dish, I don't recommend it. The waiter is alone in the hall, when they came in, he came up after 15 minutes and apologized, saying I'm alone here. I put four only because of my love for Belarus. But I won't come to this cafe anymore.
When I come to Brest, I always go to my brother-in-law's: delicious food and authentic national Belarusian entourage, they cook quickly enough and the staff is friendly and efficient. Everything is as it should be👍
At first, they waited for at least someone in the cafe. Then the waiter for about 5 minutes. And then it turns out that the payment is only in cash. They turned and left.
Not the most delicious pancakes in Belarus. If you are chasing an original interior, then the embroidery here is Ukrainian, and the music is modern, with a mountain slope. So-so Brothers-in-law, in short. If I find myself in Brest for the second time, I won't come in.
In general, it's not bad, but it can be much better. The atmosphere is pleasant, not crowded.I didn't really like the draniki, they couldn't connect Wi-Fi on any of the three phones, the waiter said that it was probably because of the operator. They were somewhat upset about paying with a card, as I understood, they like cash more there.
The interior is interesting, the waiter is colorful. The air conditioner works, which is very important in the heat of + 35 ° C! The menu is very large, my eyes are scattered! And the prices are like in a restaurant.
It's definitely not worth coming here. We wasted our money. Ruined the mood.
I'll start with the atmosphere:
It's noisy, there's nothing to look at. The staff is not friendly, it was very unpleasant. The benches and chairs are uncomfortable.
Dishes:
We ordered pancakes. I found a piece of iron in one (probably made of a metal sponge). After that, everything came out. The pancakes themselves are NOT crispy, but on the contrary, greasy and resemble a sponge. And your kvass will be so warm that even ice will not help it (which, by the way, was not even offered). Everything is not delicious.
I've been to many restaurants in Belarus, and I can safely say that this is the WORST one I've been to. I would have given 0 stars, or even gone into the negative. It is a pity that there is no such opportunity.
There are always not many people, you can sit in a quiet environment. The menu is quite large and specializes in Belarusian cuisine. The prices are reasonable. Parking in the city center is a little tight. P.S. grandma's tastes better anyway ;)
The situation is beautiful, they tried to get in twice, but unsuccessfully ((( the room is very small, 5 tables for 4 people each. It is necessary to book tables in advance, but it is very difficult to get through
The cafe is positioned as a food of Belarusian cuisine. That's why I definitely came in. I am well acquainted with the traditional cuisine.
1. Salyanka soup was very thin and tasteless. I will say right away that there is no. It's not tasty.
2. They call tributaries with minced meat, something resembling that, only floating COMPLETELY in oil. And I'm not exaggerating. They just poured oil on it. I understand that they are given in oil, but that they would swim in it. This is comrades, too much. Hello to heartburn.
It seems authentic inside, but I won't say that it's straight clean and tidy. I definitely won't come back and didn't do it, even though I was there for a week.
The location of the cafe is excellent. No doubt about it
Such a cool cafe! The first thing they visited him when they arrived in Brest. We ate all kinds of national yummy from the bottom of our hearts. Everything was very tasty. And deruns, and solyanka, and other dishes. I really liked the homemade hot shit. It's a pity that there is no summer porch, but we really liked the interior too))
An average cafe with a mediocre attitude towards the customer. The waiter is alone in the room. Twice I emphasized that the dishes need to wait a little because they are not heated, namely they are cooked, but in the end they brought a slightly warm frying pan. We took dumplings for another child. The same slightly warm and not particularly tasty. They really do not want to take bank cards, they assure that the terminal does not work, there is no connection, but they tried it in front of you, but after categorically refusing to pay in cash, the terminal immediately started working. I do not recommend visiting
An authentic place. According to the menu, the pancakes are delicious, the borscht is cold too, but the dumplings are terrible. The price tags are ordinary, the two of them sat for 2,000 Russian rubles (63 Belarusian). The service tends to zero, and they also forget about the ordered dishes. But I'll put 4. Nevertheless, I recommend you to visit.
