One of the best places in Abkhazia. Everything is just fine, especially the cheese soup... There are no words! The staff is nice and helpful, the area is lovely. The kitchen is very tasty! And clean))) which is rare in this country.
The only drawback: they forgot my cheese sauce 😂

One of the most terrible establishments I've been to. (07/15/2023 evening)
After a long walk around New Athos, we decided to have a snack at this "cafe", if you can call it that. The place was empty, which was already alarming, but we sat down at the table, the waiter came up to us and casually gave us the menu as if we had come to his house. After that, he accepted the order, having previously said that half of the menu was not available ... then the most interesting thing. After waiting for some time, he brought a dish: "frying in a frying pan" about which a little later, and a few minutes later a pizza. When the waiter began to arrange pizza plates for everyone individually, he knocked over a glass of lemonade, quickly wiped it with a napkin, and then with a rag and did not even apologize (wiped so that the table became wet all over, and did not even touch the puddle on the floor).
Now about the quality of the dishes: the meat, or rather beef, was disgusting, rubbery and obviously not the first freshness, eventually potatoes and mushrooms were eaten;
Pizza was made for a long time, considering that we were alone in the institution, hoping that at least it would be delicious, well, it wasn't there ... pizza is just a hodgepodge from what was in the kitchen, well, or most likely a pizza for 100 rubles from the nearest store, heated in a microwave oven.
And the cherry on the cake was when we asked to wrap the rest of the pizza with us, so that we could at least feed the dogs, if they eat that, of course... the waiter just threw the container with the package on our table and left.
That's how we brightened up the evening in New Athos.

We were passing through New Athos, the locals advised us to have a snack in this cafe, for which we are very grateful to them! It's insanely delicious. The food in the cafe is a delight. I especially liked: ailoji and a boat for breakfast, the coffee is just chic. It was November 12, 2022, the staff at the cafe is very hospitable, I liked everything, I especially want to praise the cook, he has a talent from God.

Oatmeal porridge with lumps and very sweet. They didn't ask for sweetmeats.
Buckwheat porridge - bare sugar, could not eat, remained untouched.
Pancakes are raw, they did not eat.
Cheesecakes - spread, raw cottage cheese.
They did not spoil their mood, they did not make any comments, they paid in full.
Despite the fact that there was porridge and pancakes on the table, we were not interested in what was wrong.
I don't know about the hotel, but I don't recommend the cafe.

We stopped in New Athos for half a day. After a morning walk to the fortress, I really wanted to eat in the cool. We chose a cafe based on reviews and location. Pros: there is air conditioning, a decent toilet, clean, acceptable service, there are almost no visitors at 13.00. Cons: a meager menu, it's easy to get on the stop list, the price of the dishes does not match their quality, the usual salad of cucumbers and tomatoes 300p is just chopped vegetables, the "Greek" salad is the same, only MELTED cheese or something like 350p is added. The kebab is extremely strange, at first I thought it was some kind of semi-finished product, but then I realized that the dish was WARMED UP, and not cooked on the grill to order, I do not remember the cost. Tomato sauce 100p regular. Homemade lemonade 350p liter is so-so, but you can drink it. 10% maintenance. It was the most expensive meal in Abkhazia. There were places cheaper and much tastier. Put such a price tag on top of the service, so at least match the kitchen.

The best cafe? Seriously? The kebab was over-salted, it was impossible to eat. The lula is burnt and served without pita bread. The potatoes were brought immediately and while waiting for the meat, it cooled down..in general, we remained hungry and the mood deteriorated.

We were in May 23, looked at the rating and decided to have lunch there. The service turned out to be terrible, the waiter misled us and brought us another drink, referring to the fact that the one that is not on the menu. The meat pan was disgusting, it was written on the menu that beef, in fact, very fatty meat was brought, some pieces were just made of fat. One dish from the order was not brought at all, although they wanted to include it in the bill, they had to indicate it separately. Of the advantages, only the beautiful view and the grasshoppers that fall on your heads. I definitely do not recommend it, it feels like the worst cafe in the whole city.

Very tasty! All the dishes are amazing. And we had breakfast and lunch with a small child. There is a large selection of dishes, the prices are adequate, the portions are large. We bought a jar of Feihua jam at home. Everyone is friendly. They even cooked a separate dairy-free porridge. Well done.

Khachapuri is branded more than it looks in the photo and delicious, I recommend taking it. Homemade wine and compote are very good.
Unfortunately, the barbecue was not working at the time of the visit, so not all the menus were appreciated. But from what they tried, everything was fresh and delicious. Cheese lovers can take grilled cheese. Smoked meat is also unusual, it is a hot dish.
I recommend solyanka together with khachapuri, the combination of flavors is interesting.

We had two vacations in the spring and summer of 2021. Comfortable in a 2-storey suite. Two couples with children can easily accommodate. Quiet, safe. The owner watches over this personally. Friendly and welcoming staff. It's great for a family holiday. It has its own good cafe, it is fashionable to use a barbecue and parking. We had a good rest, a view of the New Athos Monastery!!!)

I do not recommend it! I don't write bad things, but I don't want vacationers to spoil their vacation. The waiter and the bartender do not remember what anyone ordered and walk around the tables in confusion asking whose dish.
Instead of a hot plate, they tried to give us a dish of vegetables, it's good that we insisted that it wasn't ours.
The food is not delicious... if anyone has tried a khachapur boat with a real egg, then it is not very good here, the dough itself is not baked, the cheese is not the same.
If you want to fill your stomach and take your time, then you can go in.
Roast and hot frying pan are the same dishes, one is only in oil and toasted and the other is just warmed up, potatoes are already fried in a rustic way everywhere.
Pizza with cheese from khachapur, the lamb through one is salty or not. It was written at the entrance that payment by card, as a result, only online transfer.

We visited a cafe today.
Before that, we had already visited various institutions of Abkhazia in Gagra, in Pitsunda, and now in New Athos, and I want to say that they cook better kharcho from those that we tried.
The dishes are generally not bad, the portions are quite big and match the price.
Unfortunately, it didn't last until 5, because I didn't like the ear much and the Greek salad was not satisfied, but that's my quibbles.
The prices here are not small, but the dishes are worth it.
