A good hostel, stayed 1 time, I was captivated by the staff, they were very friendly and charming.
It is convenient to make a reservation and be sure that everything is reliable. At any time of the day. I arrived in the middle of the night, they were waiting for me.
Convenient location near the square) and everything is close to any attraction at hand and buses with excursions are sent there.
The hostel is conducive to acquaintance and communication.
It's a great place! Clean, cozy, beautiful! They give out snow-white cotton bed linen, a towel, and a fluffy blanket. There are curtains on the bed, you can isolate yourself :) The spacious kitchen has all the necessary utensils, everything is beautiful. There is a gas and electric stove, a microwave and even a toaster. The showers and toilets are perfectly clean, the cleaner constantly keeps them clean, the receptionist is kind and helpful, Maria answered all questions, suggested where to eat nearby🙏✨
There is a table in the courtyard, you can have breakfast outdoors :)
We got into the rain and got wet, it would be great if there were shoe dryers, but this is just a wish :)
I really liked everything!
Thank you, we will come again!
This is a review from a former employee to whom the manager did not pay his salary. So, why shouldn't you stay in that hostel:
1. Staff and hospitality. Don't expect much motivation to help you. Salaries are meager, salaries are not paid in full. The manager has constant contradictions (he wants the administrators to maintain order, but he scolds the guests, destroying all the authority of the hostel). It reached the ridiculous point that the guests did not want to use the services in order not to "annoy the manager". He tells employees that it is better to ask so as not to make mistakes, but answers questions with comments "so that he does not ask stupid questions."
The behavior of the manager directly affects how administrators will treat you. The manager does not know anything about the hospitality service: he does not speak English, constantly accuses the guests that they are making problems (for example, if there is a problem synchronizing the Hostelworld booking and the internal program, according to the manager, this is a problem of tourists, although I see that the guest has already been charged an advance payment!). When the guest wanted to return and leave because of bedbugs, the manager said: "tell the guest that someone dirty lived before him, that's why." I was just in shock, what does this have to do with the guest?
The work schedule itself is in three days, which is a violation of the labor legislation of Georgia. All this affects the quality of your stay, because it is unlikely that a sleepy employee will give a good service.
You will also never hear the words "please", "thank you" from the manager.
2. There are few windows, from this the atmosphere of the basement.
3. The common space is poorly organized, so if you expect to meet other tourists, you should know that there is no welcoming atmosphere for this.
4. Not everywhere there are lockers with a key (and I won't warn you in advance!) And moreover, greed leads to the fact that there are a couple of beds where the distance to the ceiling is 50 cm! How to get up there?! It is inconvenient to descend from any bed on the second floor, because the stairs are inconvenient and there are no handrails.
5. Security. There is not a single fire extinguisher in the hostel.
6. There are minor problems everywhere: somewhere a light bulb does not work, somewhere the light near the mirror does not work, somewhere there is no curtain on the bed, somewhere the door to the room does not close (and this room is right near the entrance). There are always not enough large towels. There is never any cash change. Most of the problems are not solved for a long time.
7. They also won't tell you that you can't sit on the veranda later than 23.00, because neighbors complain about noise. Some guests come to the resort precisely to spend time on the street, be aware of this moment.
Are there any advantages? There are: 4 bathrooms, free soap and shampoo, there is a gas stove and refrigerator, cleaned every morning, but does it matter if ↓
8. The most important thing is sanitation. Bedbugs and cockroaches. You may not notice them on the first day (that's why the hostel has good reviews), but live 2-3 days and you will see bedbugs (well, if only on the next bed), and cockroaches everywhere, especially in the kitchen. There are mice too. And it does not fight insects fully. No one washes the dishes prophylactically, so there is a bad smell from plastic containers, from the cutting board. No one washes the toaster, does not wipe the dust on the lamps.
That's how it happens, without paying half the salary, you can get more damage by a review. All photos are attached.
Guests of the wonderful country of Georgia, take some time and find a better hostel. I myself know 2 excellent hostels within a 5-minute walk, but they won't say the names, it's not advertising.
