Positive:
1. A nice wild beach is for nature lovers
2. Location close to the beach
3. New houses, built in 2023
4. There are no mosquitoes, at least in August.
5. There are 2 chairs and a table on each balcony
6. Bathrooms in houses, which is a rarity for Shitskvara.
7. Sea view from the balconies.
Disadvantages.
1. Entrance.
It's a pretty steep hill, sprinkled with rubble. Drive only in first gear, with the anti-slip systems disabled. I feel sorry for the rubber.
2. Parking.
The car can be left either on the street, which is dangerous, or in the yard.
There is a place for 3 cars in the yard, one after the other, each car locks the previous one. Given that there are no shops or entertainment in the village, it is unclear how to leave if your car is not the last one. It is not always convenient to look for neighbors in the neighborhood.
2. Thermal insulation in houses.
The houses are made of thin planks, and they warm up by 10 a.m. Anyone who likes air conditioners doesn't have a problem (and we love fresh air).
3. The smell.
We booked 2 cabins. Everything was fine in one house, and there was an unpleasant toilet smell in the other. The owner advised to ventilate, but it did not help, the smell did not disappear overnight. The door to the toilet in this house is installed crookedly, it cannot be closed completely, there is a gap of 10 cm.
4. Noise insulation.
I could hear the neighbor coughing in the next house.
5. Descent to the sea.
Pretty cool. But it's shady, it takes literally 2 minutes to walk. It gets slippery after the rain.
6. Kitchen
If you want to cook on your own, bring a slow cooker or a stove and kitchen utensils. The kitchen is kind of there, but small. It's difficult to cook on it together. One stove, 4 burners, one refrigerator. There are no windows in the kitchen, it is in the basement of the house. And it's not very clean.
7. Music
In the evening, neighbors (cultured, good) The whole yard was listening to music loudly until about 22.30. The music was fine, but we were sleepy from the road. This is not a problem for this guest house, but I am writing just in case.
8. Unpleasant behavior of the owner.
Other neighbors (a married couple), who lived next door to the house where our daughters were staying, drank very heavily and staged a drunken brawl until 2 a.m. They hurled choice obscenities and insults at our 12, 18, and 19-year-old daughters, who asked them to keep their voices down.
After that, we told the owner's brother that we would leave in the morning. The master's brother was also insulted by these people. The owner himself was not at home. At midnight, I wrote to the owner on WhatsApp about the situation, but there was no response. The next day, around 12:00, we moved to another apartment in the village, literally next door, where our family was alone, not counting the owners. At about 13:30, the owner called us and told us to come urgently, because his things were missing. We didn't steal anything, we came right back. And we waited for the owner in the heat for about 45 minutes until he arrived from Sukhum.
He came and said that he had kicked out the rowdies, so we can stay. When we asked him about the missing items, he told us that nothing was missing, but he had to say so, because otherwise we would not have come.
When we refused to move back, he threatened that he wouldn't let us live with his neighbors anyway and would arrange with them to get us kicked out.
Half an hour later, he came to the landlady of the house where we were staying, asking her to evict us.
The most beautiful place is a minute and a half to the sea, everything is clean and tidy. A pleasant host. Reasonable price. I highly recommend it. We will definitely come back more than once.
