We were at the Sunrise Hotel this January. Two adults and a small child. The room was clean, but it was a little chilly. The breakfast is modest but delicious. Very pleasant hotel staff chatted at breakfast every day.
Yes, there is a spiral staircase, but this is also a mini-hotel, no one expected wide corridors and an elevator. My 2-year-old kid and I walked up the stairs several times a day and didn't break off.
The main advantage is that the hotel is located 5 minutes from Istanbul's main attractions! The sea is 7 minutes away. Public transport is also nearby. There are a lot of eateries around, a playground, a supermarket, even a huge market for wholesale purchases.
Nice view from the terrace!
I have stayed at this hotel several times - excellent location, in the very historical center of Istanbul, comfortable clean rooms, a good restaurant, a wonderful roof terrace with a magical view of the Blue Mosque and the Bosphorus and a very friendly hotel owner Arjan Ydrym. Thank you very much!
I didn't like everything. There was no Russian-speaking receptionist at the reception, and anyway, we haven't seen how we checked in since. Breakfast (I'll attach a photo) is not that meager, there's just nothing but boiled eggs and three cucumber slices. Coffee for breakfast is available for a fee only. We were barely interrogated on the 4th day to clean the room and replace the bed linen and towels. Repairs have not been done since the time of construction, everything is rusty, broken, but clean. Three clothes hangers. Three mini jars of shampoo were waiting for us in the bathroom and that's it, no soap, no shower gel, no glass for brushes with paste, no cups either, but there is a kettle. You can't have breakfast on the roof terrace either. The door lock opened very strangely, our room was 107. There is no place to wash or hang clothes, and they do not have a laundry or washing machine. We left for the airport around eight, we had asked for breakfast earlier to feed the baby, a woman who spoke a little Russian refused us, she was obviously drinking, not always friendly, then, as I understood, because we did not order excursions from them, we did not buy taxis and water. In general, I don't recommend it as much as possible, but then see for yourself, maybe I'm finding fault so much.
