You need to visit 1 time, but only by car, on foot, it seems to me, it will be difficult. It's beautiful, the whole of Sukhum is in the palm of your hand. Only at the very top the view is worse than on the restored beautiful observation deck somewhere in the middle. Trees and bushes block the view from above.
There is not much interesting on the hill, the view of the city and the sea is almost everywhere blocked by leaves. The best pictures can be taken from the stairs to the fountain. An example is a photo with the lights of evening Sukhum and the sea.
The fountains are quite atmospheric.
Cows can be found at the top of the hill near the fountain ...
Judging by the appearance, there has been no repair of structures for quite a long time.
The place is quiet, calm, you will like who the stairs people are, be careful at the entrance, the road is not very good, but tolerable, you can climb a little higher to the radio tower, it's 30 seconds by car
We have been coming here for many years to enjoy the beautiful views.
You really can't see anything from the top of the mountain. Everything was overgrown with trees. But before reaching the top, you can still see the city and the port.
It is clear that they are trying to improve the territory at the top, even they have made a fountain. But this is a drop in the bucket. The Soviet lost beauty is still very far away.
Brilliant location, great location, great views. Alas, everything is in the past. If the republic has more money, hands will reach here, it will become another place of attraction for tourists. I really want to visit a restaurant someday, I believe it will be.
It is a very atmospheric place, I am glad that it has been restored. In the evening, they turn on the backlight, it's very beautiful. We went up on foot, but it was worth it! There is a magnificent view of the city from the observation decks
an interesting place, very picturesque, beautiful photos, but unfortunately there is a ruined building at the very top, once it was very beautiful, but not now.. Stairs going down, unfortunately, lead to a dead end. But you definitely need to visit, a view of Sukhumi 10/10
A great place for walking and relaxing, the restoration of the park is underway in the future it will be even better, you can climb to the observation deck on foot or by car, a wonderful view of the city of Sukhum opens at the top
To get there by taxi is as high as possible. Then a little walk uphill. There are a lot of beautiful things. But there is also not a beautiful (. Everything is fenced up to the middle, there is no higher yet. But the view is fire. It is necessary to walk back
It's a beautiful place. The city is at a glance. It's a pity that it's neglected. There is not enough money for repairs-this is understandable, but not to leave garbage behind and at least sometimes clean up -it's elementary!!!!
It is very beautiful, the place is colorful, but abandoned, like everything in Abkhazia. At the top of the balustrade, there is something like a dance floor, fountains, but everything is overgrown, not working. The place itself is just lovely, the racks, the blooming magnolias...
After the repair, it's a completely different matter.
The colonnade on the observation deck looks decent.
If only the top of the mountain could be put in order and the place would sparkle with colors again.
Great view of the city. There was an illumination in the afternoon, in the evening, of course, even better. It's not far from the botanical garden. I recommend you to visit
One of the observation decks of Sukhum, which offers views of the city and the endless sea. A great place for photo shoots. If you go up the road from the site, you will get to Sukhumi Mountain. The highest observation deck of Sukhum. Beautiful view!
Well, that's it.. Now, of course, there are all sorts of repairs going on. And if they put it in order, it will be very cool. We took a taxi to this observation deck, looked at the city and went upstairs for an even better view. But he's not here. Everything is overgrown with trees. But it's very clean to take a walk - for fans of terrenkurs)) But we went back along the non-tourist streets - and just loved the beauty of the houses and everything around. And we also had lunch at the Ashkhardats cafe - this is a separate story and love from the first khinkalka))
Of course, there is no view from the mountain yet! The remnants of the greatness of the Stalinist Empire are visible on the mountain itself! Once there was a very cool restaurant in those days! The restoration of the lower part of the mountain has already begun! It remains to be hoped that they will restore order at the top!

Sukhumi Mountain, or, as it is still called by locals, Funicular. A very picturesque place. Lianas, palm trees, figs, bamboo. If you love the nature of Abkhazia, you are here! Several locations on the mountain are being restored, including an observation deck with a colonnade. The mountain offers a magnificent view of the whole city. I recommend taking a taxi to the TV tower (200 rubles), and walking down. In addition to the views from the mountain and the riot of nature, a great bonus will be a walk along the old Papaskir Street (formerly Papaskiri).
A beautiful place, but forgotten and not gentrified. They got up out of curiosity. The view from the mountain could be beautiful, but everything is overgrown with trees through which nothing can be seen
The lower observation deck is OK, we went up to the top, to an abandoned gazebo. It turned out that nothing was visible there. There is no panorama, everything is overgrown with trees
There's not much to see. Devastation and garbage all around. Maybe the restorers will get their hands on it. In May 2024, only the lower platform was put in order.
If you are not on the way or just taking time, then I do not advise you to go / go.
There are not many views from the mountain, everything is pretty abandoned, although restoration work is underway and it's not bad.
There is a dump at the top and a privacy area in every convenient place, apparently the locals use the mountain to hide from the eyes and evening entertainment.
in places, traces of fighting are visible (traces of bullets in stone stairs), I climbed the mountain on foot, a pretty good walking load, but there were mosquitoes - the sea (if you walk in the evening)
A good place, although it was a species for a very long time, apparently then there was really a good view of the city from the rotunda, now it is overgrown with trees, the rotunda itself is living out its life, it does not have long left. The stairs themselves are still in pretty good condition. On the opposite side, lower, there is a memorial to those who died in the 1993 war. Nearby is a city TV tower, a tall building. You can get almost to the end by car, but it's better to walk. There are few people in the season, it is hot, although if you go from the center, there are several interesting old buildings and remnants of the former luxury of the USSR. From the other side of the mountain you can go down to the outskirts of the city, in one place there is a good view of the valley and the mountains. In order not to repeat myself, I went up from there, and went down to the central part of the city. I took away the fifth star for the rotunda's mess and garbage. Garbage is generally a scourge of these places in Abkhazia. And it's not about tourists, but about their attitude to their own history and infrastructure.
A beautiful and secluded location. The architecture and overall surroundings of the park are very beautiful. It's such a pity that no one cares and restores the place. It would be a great viewing room if it weren't for the overgrowth around. It's a pretty steep climb, but there are benches along the way
It's worth a visit. There is a beautiful view of the sea and Sukhum on the mountain, you can honor the memory of those who died at the monument, and see old architectural structures
I appreciate nature and the park and architectural heritage, regardless of its current state. Yes, it's ruined. Especially the rotunda. But the stairs beckon you to walk along them. The eye catches the most beautiful, magnificent nature everywhere - in combination with the conceived architectural ensemble. All over the planet, many of these legacies suffer from a lack of proper care. I wish this place and its like to find a second life ❤
I recommend. It's worth getting up. It must have been very beautiful, now it's been abandoned and destroyed, like a lot in Abkhazia. But it was interesting for me to watch and walk all this way. Take the water. The mountain is 201 m above sea level.
A sad sight for past beauties. Everything is in an abandoned state, although we found the beginning of restoration work at the very bottom. There's not much to see at the top. The fauna has grown and blocks the view from the mountain.
You shouldn't come here on purpose, but if you have nothing to do, you can kill time and train your legs.
Sukhumi mountain at an altitude of 201m above sea level. At the beginning of the way there are old buildings around. You can take beautiful photos there and enjoy a view of the evening Sukhum. It takes about 20 minutes to walk up, there are benches where you can relax. At the top there are stone stairs in different directions, as well as an abandoned fountain. The territory is not particularly cared for. An abandoned Rotunda (the former Amzu restaurant) will open for you at the top The feeling of an abandoned city. Of course, we expected more, but it's worth a visit.
Nature is like visiting paradise. Untouched antiquity that does not require restoration. A corner of the soul in the Land of the Soul.

A great place to walk, there are almost no people!
We went in search of a sunset and at least a little to see the mountains - not really visible…
View of Sukhumi and the sea.
There are a lot of trees, beautiful, powerful.
Be sure to take mosquito repellent!!!
It's worth a visit, the road is not difficult. There are benches on the way where you can relax.
The fountain is not working, everything is abandoned. The ruin is like everywhere else, but the steps are well preserved.
