Hello everyone
Well, what can I say?
I liked it!
What exactly?
Well, firstly, the ubiquitous "marine" cleanliness and maximum proximity to the decks of a working tanker.
Secondly, there are interactive scenes throughout the tour area. The ability to compose your name from flags or "tap" it with a Morse code key.
In the engine room, wearing 3-D glasses, there is an opportunity to see how the mechanics worked.
Passing through the crew cabins, you can see their simple way of life.
It's cool inside (in summer).
And of course, a small and not expensive restaurant on the stern.
I recommend it!
A very underrated location in Baku. A very interesting place, a lot of interactivity, including a simulator of a marine vessel entering the port! But here's a minus for the guide, she didn't know the basic things, she just read the text, peeking into the phone. Well, how can you not be interested in your work?! And my regards to the organizers of the museum. Thanks!
It is easy to get there by public transport, buses 5 and 6.
P.S. The price tag in the restaurant is inadequate, but you didn't come here to eat, did you?
An atmospheric place! It is interesting for both children and adults. The former oil tanker was converted into a museum. A good reason to visit a real ship with a history, tie sea knots, learn the basic rules of sailors, write your name with flags) There is also a good restaurant here.
You can take a bus or walk, but it is better to take a bus or taxi
A unique place - the world's first tanker museum in 1957! After 2 years of renovation, it has been turned into a wonderful interactive museum! There is so much to tell about it, about oil production in general, there are quite a lot of interesting exhibits with a history.....if you only want to talk about it...The ticket price includes an excursion, but my urgent advice is:pay extra for the audio guide (the ticket itself costs 5 manats per adult, I will not tell you the cost of the audio guide).Because the girl guide is doing you a huge favor by rattling off obvious information to you without any details. No smile, no normal pace of speech, no professional answers to our questions about the tanker, no polite waiting while we inspect at least some of the expansions. The whole tour (around 1.15-20) feels like we are superfluous here, that we need to finish with us as soon as possible, since "my next guests have already arrived."
It is very sad, unpleasant and insulting for the museum.
A wonderful museum, an amazing tour in Russian. The ticket together with the tour is 5 manats. We were delighted and learned a lot about shipping and life on the ship. Be sure to visit Baku.
It is a very interesting museum for both adults and children. It's better to know in advance when the tour is, because you just can't walk yourself. The guide will tell you about how tankers work there, the history of this vessel and much more, there are many interactive zones in the tanker, there is also a hall with videos about the history of Azerbaijan in general.
We had a tour in Russian, also conducted in English and Azerbaijani.
I was very impressed by this place! It seems that interactive is for children, but I couldn't tear myself away! I am very grateful to the man who was not our guide, but he works there and told a lot of interesting facts! It's been a long time since I've been to such an interesting place! I highly recommend it to both children and adults!
An old tanker converted into a museum there are a lot of such in the Caspian Sea ! I recommend watching it with the whole family ! The prices are loyal ! I want to express my great gratitude to our Russian - speaking guide , a Muscovite now living in Baku , for live communication ! Thank you very much!
I liked it better.
One of the disadvantages is not to walk by yourself, but the guide flies, does not give time to examine the exhibits, wants to rattle off the information as soon as possible and go further.
Even at the end of the political event, the impression was spoiled (historical video).
The most modern and interesting museum I've ever been to. You can put 10 stars. But, you need to take a tour or an audio guide, because there are no signs in Russian.
A good modern museum.
The entrance is organized only with a guided tour with a certain schedule. The tour is available in Russian.
Tickets can be purchased online.
There are a lot of interactive points in the museum, which the children really liked.
It is also quite interesting for adults
Around the new embankment, where you can walk
It's quite far from the city center.
I advise everyone to visit this museum. A great opportunity to stand at the helm, write a greeting in Morse and understand the entire arrangement of tankers.
Lyudmila gave us a very interesting tour.
