I'm reading reviews, maybe in 2023 and earlier there was something wrong with the staff. We had a rest in August 2024. We always had breakfast here. Breakfast is until 11, but we are late, we came to have breakfast already at lunch. At our request, fried eggs were fried for us, although this is a breakfast dish. The food is fresh, the portions are good, everything is delicious. The staff is friendly, they offered to treat you with wine😁 the owner's wife, they say mom makes desserts. I liked the desserts very much, the taste is homemade

We rested at the Samson hotel in Sukhum from August 15 to 27, 2023 and used the cafe at the hotel. It was sooo cozy, comfortable and delicious to eat, the portions are large and the prices are normal. The staff are great, sincere people. Separately, I want to say a huge thank you to the female bartender in the cafe with the amazingly beautiful name Mzia! She tries to take into account all the wishes of visitors and suggest or advise a particular dish! We have the warmest memories! Thanks!

We rested in this hotel. There was a sick company and when the day of the eviction came, the administrator claimed that a young man allegedly stole towels from them in one of the rooms. Moreover, the request to view the cameras was refused by both the owner and the administrator. I have not yet met such rudeness on the part of the owner and the administrator himself. They accused out of the blue of theft and did not want to just resolve the situation normally. Bottom line: we lost not only customers in the face of our company, but also ruined our rating and reputation. They demanded to pay 2,000 thousand for towels. Yes, the head does not have any foresight at all. And finally, we heard a curse in the back from the administrator. We are very disappointed.

Unfortunately, I did not manage to enjoy the Abkhazian cuisine. On the first day, I ordered rice with a Kiev cutlet. They stirred up something in the kitchen for a long time, brought a porridge-like side dish and a wildly over-dried cutlet (inside there is dry meat without a hint of oil, sauce or any liquid, and I couldn't even crack the shell around the edges with my teeth). On the second day, there were tolerable mashed potatoes with chicken chop (although the meat was the thinnest). On the third day, I ordered a hodgepodge, they brought on a flat plate (!) several pieces of meat with a thick sauce - the usual goulash. Unfortunately, there is no alternative near the hotel.

We had a family vacation in "Samson" in the period August-September. When we were driving, I hoped for good reviews about the cafe on the territory, but the reality turned out to be completely different.
Prices: absolutely not justified.Very expensive. For this price tag, you can eat very tasty in a good restaurant in the center.
Quality: not tasty, from the word at all. We ordered an omelet and pancakes for breakfast. The pancakes turned out to be absolutely bland, like the omelette, with the difference that there was also a shell there. They gave the dining room a second chance when there was bad weather, they took a boat with cheese for lunch, which in fact turned out to be a piece of unpeeled dough WITHOUT cheese. But most of all, it was the latte that finished it off. Ordered a latte, makes a coffee machine. They began to drink, but it turned out to be cold. They wanted to return it to be redone, BUT no, pay 200 rubles and you may be happy).
Service:I completely agree with the comments where people write about how they discuss you while you eat. One day we went to take compote to a child in the evening, so a woman from the kitchen looked at us like, well, what are you doing here.
Conclusion: there are plenty of places in Sukhum where you can eat very tasty and inexpensive and enjoy both food and service. I do not recommend the cafe at the Samson Hotel.

The pancakes are very thick. The cheesecakes were delicious and fresh, but for some reason neither sour cream nor condensed milk are offered to them, eat empty. I wanted to order a Greek salad with meat in Abkhazian, but they didn't have olives. They offered to serve a simple vegetable salad (tomato, cucumber, onion, greens), but the cost was taken as for Greek (some kind of arrogance). And in fact, coriander greens, which not everyone likes. Each dish on the menu is 50p more expensive than everywhere else. I didn't like the barbecue.

We lived in the Samson hotel and hoped that it would have a good dining room, hoped for good reviews. Very wrongly. As they say, "thank you for not poisoning yourself."
First of all, you come in in the morning and the smell from the kitchen is fried fish. Every morning. You even walk by and it stinks. While you are ordering and going outside, you can feel the aroma of cooked dishes on your clothes🤢
Secondly, the service. This is a separate pain. The woman at the checkout is talking to you as if you didn't pay her for the last order. Khachapuri was done for 35 minutes. I ordered self-service from the category, went outside and somehow guess that your dish was cooked, you go back and forth waiting for the dish. The price tag looks like it's a cafe in the center.
And thirdly, it's just not tasty. The pasta with seafood is fatty, there were 5 spoons of oil in it. Unleavened khachapuri with druzhba cheese. There is no taste of honey at all in the honey pot. Cheap icing on top 🤮
All that pleased is tiramisu, for him 1 star

Excellent dining room, everything was very tasty! I would like to say separately about the service: the atmosphere is very cozy, homely; visitors are treated very kindly, and "regular customers" are treated like good friends. I would like to express my special gratitude to Mzie! A wonderful woman and just a good person, she will not only feed you, but also share her cheerful mood. P.S. if you drink coffee here, I do not advise you to eat in this institution, at night drinkers leave the dishes on the table, and the staff leaves at 22:00 and the local cats lick the plates until the morning!

We had a rest at the Samson Hotel in August 2023. In the hotel itself, it is impossible to sleep from the roar of the elevator, every rustle is heard, not to mention the different movements in the rooms.
There is no balcony- things were drying in the room for several days, as a result, everything was wet and remained (Is it really difficult to design balconies for all rooms?!).

According to the cafe-canteen in Samson itself, this is trash: they ordered "porridge" for breakfast, there was just a cold, smeared liquid. They started eating after all and found hair in the porridge, went to show it to MZIE B.(surely you are also making a transfer to her card), she said that it seems to us that we need to pay for a new porridge again. It was unpleasant , but we thought that no granny could spoil our rest . The next day we ordered noodle soup and they poured us one broth, in retaliation and spoke to us in Abkhaz on purpose. Then all the kitchen staff went outside and stared at us and discussed us. Then we decided to take a piece of bread from the basket, but immediately Mzia started telling me to bring 2 rubles for a piece of bread quickly from minute to minute!! As a result, if we were in a hotel, we drank only water.
And it was decided to take their money and leave the hotel ahead of time
It was a terrible feeling when we approached the entrance of the hotel (to the gate), we delayed the time to go inside the hotel, as we did not want to pass by the kitchen and feel these glances and gossip

I didn't like it very much. The prices are space, although it says dining room. The service is even more expensive. The attitude towards the guests is mediocre. The food is no better - borscht is a set of herbs, beetroot does not even smell, there is practically no meat in the cutlet, only greens. In general, I do not recommend it.

Great place and staff!
You enter the building and immediately feel the pleasant smell and atmosphere. The receptionists at the reception are just a miracle! They do their job amazingly, besides, they will always help, even if it does not concern hotel accommodation.
Delicious on-site dining room. A very cheerful and sociable woman greets guests there 🙂
The rooms are super clean, in excellent condition.
It takes about 3 minutes to walk to the sea.

Salads deserve special attention. I've never eaten worse than Caesar in my life. Cheesecakes are delicious. Service. It is not there, you need to bring it and take it away yourself. The dishes are dirty. The woman who takes orders and money is waiting for you not to pick up the change. We watched a picture of how people ordered two portions of dumplings in one plate, they were taken out in two plates, they made a remark that they asked for one, she did not see the dumplings with her hand from one plate to another. In Abkhazian, they can giggle at you among themselves.

A pleasant place. There is no entourage, but you can sit with air conditioning and outdoors under an umbrella. There is wi-fi. The prices are slightly above average, but everything is very tasty. The egg boat is one of the best I've tried in Sukhum. However, the scrambled eggs were a little pumped up. There was a lot of vegetable oil in the plate.
