I contacted this service with the problem of an incorrectly working fuel level sensor. Knowing that the problem was there, I purchased a fuel pump assembly with a fuel level sensor. I drove the car in the evening, the master receptionist said that the car would be repaired tomorrow.
The next day at 14.30 I called to find out how things were going with the repair, they replied that the locksmith was free, and in 10 minutes the car would be driven into the remzone. At 17.00, passing by the service, I decided to stop by and clarify how the repair is going. It turned out that the car had been driven into the remzone ONLY 10 minutes ago. I asked to show that my car is definitely being handled. What I saw, to put it mildly, did not correspond to a professional approach to repair: the gas pump was not removed, but everything around the neck was filled with gasoline (i.e. no one guessed to put a rag when removing the fuel pipes), and the locksmith twisted the replacement gas pump in his hands, not understanding how the fuel level sensor was removed. Nevertheless, they assured me that everything would be done well today. At 19.00 they called and said that everything had been checked and it was not about the sensor, they promised that on the weekend the electrician would read the information about what the problem might be and on Monday they would tell what could be done, but for now on the weekend the car could be picked up and the gas pump with the sensor returned.
At the weekend, no longer trusting the service station, I decided to look for myself. The first thing I saw was that the gas pump was not even removed (due to the condition of the dust on the lid). As soon as I removed the gas pump, the reason for the sensor working incorrectly became immediately clear – the fasteners of the gas pump itself, which was in the tank, were broken off. The gas pump was replaced and the problem was solved. As a result: the repair took me 1.5 hours with smoke breaks.
P.S. On Monday I decided to call the master receptionist to find out what they would recommend. In their competent opinion, the reason should be sought either in the instrument panel or the comfort unit.
