A great exhibition! The room is small, but all the exhibits are very interesting. There are QR codes, thanks to which you can listen to or read detailed information about each exhibit in Russian, Belarusian or English. Very friendly staff! Thanks!
A stunningly beautiful city, cozy and delightful streets, history, different styles, nature, people... The embankment and the view of the river are amazing! A good European city
This is Peter's house. There are items from the 19th century. We took an excursion, which was conducted by a researcher. It was unforgettable, very interesting, in one go.
History is generally a very interesting subject, but it becomes a special subject when you see firsthand the places, the buildings where these historical events took place. One of these places is Polotsk. The tour under the "leadership" of the guide Larissa was interesting and informative.
The walk was through Polotsk at night, in particular along Nizhnyaya-Pokrovskaya Street! You can immediately feel the flavor of this ancient city, we were very satisfied! Be sure to take a walk here when you find yourself in Polotsk, you will not regret it!
It's a very atmospheric place. There are few expositions and they are small, but they are very neatly decorated and you can see that with care and love. You look at it and you seem to plunge into the atmosphere of those times. Definitely worth your attention. Moreover, the price is adequate and commensurate.
It's a beautiful place. Very informative. The girl researcher tells everything in an "accessible language". A very interesting tour. thank you very much. We have very unforgettable emotions.
I still didn't understand why it was Peter's House, he had nothing to do with this house from the word at all.Plus, the only one is the people who work there, they are friendly and can answer your questions, that's all.Expositions at the level of a school textbook.
I talked with an employee of the exhibition on the topic: why information about Peter the Great's house is available only in Belarusian (this is understandable) and English (it is unclear, seeing Polotsk, but tolerable) languages, but not in Russian. Does the museum really believe that the house of the Emperor of the Russian Empire Peter the Great is more interesting to the British than to the Russians?
Petra1 house, which has nothing to do with it, but it is interesting to see the expositions. There is a museum of fire fighting equipment in the basement.
Remember! The name of the place has nothing to do with the content of the exhibition!
A magnificent exposition of the life of Polotsk in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. All aspects of life are represented - education, home, trade. There is furniture, household items, and shop interiors. The QR codes of the exhibits lead to pages where there is additional information (I didn't need it, but others were happy).
The installation is historical. There is only 1 room in the museum. You can go in, look inside and leave. There is a book with a full description in Russian
10 Petrov out of 10
Be sure to take a tour without them it will not be so interesting 😅
And be sure to ask about the name at the end, if they don't tell you 😎
It is intimate, but informative, there are QR codes for those who like not to release a smartphone, they contain materials for each section of the museum, they are all voiced, which means you can not take a tour and save a lot
Considering the installations in the house of Peter the Great, you can use the QR code to listen to the relevant comments from the virtual guide. The house is small with 5-6 installations.
Come in, you won't regret it!!!A small chamber museum. Authentic exhibits are simply a delight! A multifaceted composition and a very pleasant companion - the museum curator.
