I calmly handed over the plane tickets and was sure that the hotel would go to the meeting, as I warn them 88 days before the start of the booking.
As a result, they refuse to return the prepayment of 12,000 rubles, they are motivated by the fact that their reservation is paid. The contract is not provided by referring to the website. And the most interesting thing is that they have two websites. As it turned out later, stgagra.com - this is a tour operator, despite the fact that there is not a word about it on the website. And the second one http://stgagra.ru the official one. I received a refund refusal on both phones and a complete lack of loyalty. Do not be fooled by the reviews, the hotel completely ignores the laws of their country on consumer protection article 34. When communicating by phone and personal correspondence, they behave brazenly, with the awareness of impunity. Be careful!

We were vacationing for the first time with two small children 3 years and 5 years old. In general, we were very satisfied with both Abkhazia and the hotel. But everything has its pros and cons.
Pros: the extraordinary beauty of nature, the purest sea (we swam almost to the buoys - we saw the bottom) and a clean beach. We were in early September, there were not many people, there were a lot of free beds. The hotel has a restaurant: the menu is varied, they never said that there was something missing. The food is very tasty. When ordering, pay attention to the weight, the dishes are very large, even the porridge was taken for three: a mother and two children. Special attention to lavash is just bombastic.
The restaurant is right on the seashore, the view is stunning, seagulls the size of a chicken sitting like mermaids on large boulders of the shore is a separate attraction.
The staff and the administrator are friendly, friendly, like all residents of Gagra.
The place is extremely calm, which is what we wanted: there were no wild discos, drunken vacationers at all.
Plus the hotel is right on the beach: with children it's super, super, super. We went to the sea before breakfast and even wet our feet before going to bed.
If you are not spoiled by comfort, you want a clean sea, beautiful nature and a relaxing holiday, this is the place for you.

I stayed in a wooden log cabin in a hotel three times. For lovers of the sea. Everything is nearby. It is advantageous to stay here, but you need to eat in an Abbayat 300 meters away. Take my advice.

A great place for a quiet relaxing holiday. It's not the first time here...You couldn't wish for a better holiday... the rooms have everything for a comfortable stay. The sea is nearby, there is a private beach, there is a cafe on the territory of the hotel where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner for a reasonable price tag...The food, of course, is like in the dining room..no serving for you...but the price...the quality is consistent...

We had a rest in the second half of September, lived in a wooden building on the second floor.
The rooms are simple, wood-paneled inside, not new, but everything is clean, working plumbing, excellent water pressure in the shower. The only thing is that they are already asking for bed updates, the mattresses in the middle are sagging.
Also keep in mind that the building is next to a mountain river, which fills up after the rains and makes a noticeable noise, especially in the rooms closest to it. And there are mosquitoes, take a fumigator.
We have already written here about noise insulation- you can say no, you can hear every creak, but we were lucky with the neighbors, no one made noise. Next time, I would book in distant buildings.
The location is excellent, two minutes to the sea, 7 minutes to the shops on Gagarin Square, there is also a pharmacy. There is a canopy on the beach, umbrellas, and there are always enough sun beds.
A great cafe, large portions, very cool breakfasts and pastries are great, but I didn't really like the grill, but maybe I was just unlucky.
I recommend the hotel, but the young people will be bored, it was just right for us to have a relaxing holiday.

We stayed at the hotel in June 2024, room 15. The room is new, the location is excellent, 1 minute to the sea, with a child, if you forgot something, you can quickly return. You can have breakfast and dinner on the balcony, admiring the views of the sea, dolphins often come in the evening. The only drawback is that Wi-Fi does not work in the room and there are very few channels on TV, cartoons in Abkhaz, but the child watched) there are sun loungers and a shade from the hotel on the beach, there were not many people on the beach.

We rested at the Old Gagra hotel from 12.09.23-25.09.23. Everything is at the highest level!!! A minute walk to the sea (the sea is very clean, warm), sun beds and a canopy are present. Room cleaning, change of towels and bed linen is regular (as in the description). The cafe at the hotel is very tasty (thanks to the chefs), the chicken and lamb Lullabies are delicious :) while waiting for the order, you enjoy the noise and the view of the sea. We are in this hotel now. Last year we had a vacation in Novaya Gagra, but I liked the Old One more for its picturesqueness. I chose a hotel for a long time, stopped at this one and did not regret it at all. We didn't stay in a log cabin, I wouldn't have chosen it, because I love silence. The room has been recently renovated. It is small, but it has everything you need: comfortable furniture, a new Samsung TV on the wall, a refrigerator, an electric kettle, a hair dryer. Window and balcony with sea views.
The great thing is that the beach is just a few meters away. The beach is clean, if some lazy people leave a bottle or a bag, you won't see them in the morning. Sun beds (they are new) and beach towels are free of charge. There are few places like this in Gagra.
There were negative reviews about the cafe, I disagree, they cook well. The service is fast. And thanks to the administrator Irina Anatolyevna for the clear work.
I was lucky with this hotel.

Like it:
1) distance to the beach (5-10 meters)
2) rooms (shower, toilet, refrigerator, kettle in some rooms , air conditioning that works well, hot water)
3) there is a restaurant on site
4) few people
5) you can even get to the border by public transport.
6) good staff (!)
7) there is WI-FI
8) there are enough sun beds for everyone
9) there is a canopy on the beach
I didn't like it:
1) the price in the restaurant. (there is a cheaper one nearby. reduce the price by 10%-15% and only you will have it)
2) the beach is pebbly, buy coral slippers.
3) the lack of a shared kitchen.

They lived in a log cabin, the audibility was 100%, they told the neighbors through the wall "be healthy" and understood that someone went to a white friend. In general, the room is clean, cleaned every 4 days, (garbage was taken out on the same day), but it's time to change the carpet. The musty smell was in the room from him.

Be very careful with the choice of rooms, they are very different here. We changed the number. The food is delicious, the staff is pleasant. But Abkhazia is good only by nature. Be careful with unsanitary conditions, E. coli is all around. Stock up on pills.

The administrator is a boor. He settles on the ground floor without the promised sea view and with creaking ceilings, it is impossible to sleep even in earplugs. Everything in the room is ancient, flimsy and rusty and completely unsanitary everywhere, including the refrigerator. After an outright hit—and-run, I didn't make it to the end of the booking - I moved into another apartment.

I liked everything very much: the room has everything you need, in front of each room there is a table and chairs on the terrace overlooking the sea, linen was often changed, a guarded, clean area, of course proximity to the sea and great weather. The hotel is wonderful, the staff is friendly, the restaurant is delicious, the beach is sparsely populated. We had a rest in September 2017 .We settled on the recommendation of friends. I've never dreamed of a better vacation. If you live in a building, and not in a log cabin, you will wake up to the sound of a wave. The hotel is right on the shore. There is a cafe on the pier.
