A very beautiful town hall with an equally beautiful view from the roof.
The Old Town Hall is the dominant square, the main architectural complex of Old Prague. There is an observation deck on its tower. The Old Town Hall was founded by decree of Jan of Luxembourg in 1338. For the city government, they bought a stone corner mansion built at the end of the XIII century, owned by the merchant Wolf Kamena (Wölflinów dówm). The first meeting room was opened there (today it is a Small Hall). The entrance portal of the house dates back to the XV century, and its massive wooden door with lions was made in 1652.
In 1360, a second house was built on the west side, the house of the merchant Jan Krzyzh (D?M kramáře Kříže). Wedding ceremonies have been held in its Gothic hall with a coffered ceiling since 1871. The house is decorated with a triple Renaissance window, above which the motto "Prague is the head of the kingdom" is inscribed; there are 19 heraldic symbols on the facade.
The rectangular tower with a height of 69.5 m was erected in 1364 under the leadership of Peter Parlerzh.
Of course, one admires architecture, history, it's beautiful, what can I say. No wonder it attracts people. The square is crowded.
And of course the atmosphere
But you need to feel it on the spot.
The trip coincided with the Catholic Easter, which gave even more atmosphere. The square was decorated with fairs. Very vivid impressions of the city and the trip.
It's a beautiful place. Super cool watch. Well, this is Prague. It is mandatory to visit. I advise everyone to download search for travel (not advertising) and walk around the city with it. There you will immediately be told about the sights of the city. It's more interesting there
The Old Town Hall is a small but very attractive architectural complex consisting of a 56-meter tower with an Astronomical clock, a chapel with a bay window and 5 houses.
For several centuries, self-government bodies have been located here. Nowadays, there is a museum in the town hall, exhibitions are held, marriages are registered.
This architectural monument is one of the most popular tourist attractions.
The center of attraction for all tourists in beautiful Prague. Construction began in 1338. The main attraction is, of course, Orloy, the famous chimes that have been operating since the XV century. They show many different meanings, including even Babylonian time and zodiac time. Every hour, people flock like a river to the clock tower and watch the movement of the 12 apostles and other sculptures. It's really interesting.
One of the 3 most favorite places in Prague. I have been traveling for 6 years from January 27 to January 12, a very beautiful square, especially with a Christmas market and light decorations.
The city is very beautiful, especially the Gothic temples. But everything is very expensive.

It is a very beautiful building, but if you carefully consider it, you may be left without a wallet))) There are really a lot of pickpockets on the square.
To enjoy Prague, you have to get lost in Prague...a week will be enough for 30 euros a day, ... yes, change the checks (Czech crowns) from the Arabs (blue exchangers), they are more expensive than the Chinese (red)..
