Wonderful animation, stretching, water aerobics, dancing, bossa, volleyball. Also on the beach from the hotel there are sailboats, catamarans, kayaks you can take and ride for half an hour for free.

Visited in October 2024. One of the advantages is a magnificent beach with clear water and snow-white sand. The territory of the hotel is quite large, there are several a la carte restaurants, closer to the middle of October, a summer cafe was opened next to the beach. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel, only there is no connection on the beach. The food is standard for Cuba, you shouldn't wait for variety, but you won't stay hungry either. There is a bar on the second floor. The hotel staff is very friendly, but at the same time very demanding before tipping. One of the disadvantages is a very tired room stock, especially in Standard rooms: there is no balcony in such rooms, the lock on the front door did not work in my room, there was no running water, and on the first night I found frogs and lizards in the sink. I spent one night in this room, in the morning I unsuccessfully tried to solve the problem with the lock and hot water. Then I decided to pay extra for the Superior room in the seventh building and in comparison with the standard it's just heaven and earth: the rooms are quite fresh, there is a balcony, no frogs and there was hot water throughout the rest of the holiday. I had several European-type sockets in my room, while I heard from many compatriots that even in the bungalow they only have American sockets, so it's better to hedge your bets and immediately take a charger with an American plug from home. To sum up, it is quite a standard hotel for Cuba with all the advantages and disadvantages inherent in them, an excellent choice for those who plan to visit Cuba for the first time.

We were at the hotel in early December 2024. In general, the hotel is normal (it was originally a pioneer camp), no more than three stars, the contingent is mainly over 30-40. Some staff speak a little Russian. We checked in at night in bungalow 13. We were taken to it by electric car. A two-room room on the second floor for 4, with three beds in one room. The room has a safe, iron, air conditioning, refrigerator, hair dryer, TV (without hdmi), toilet, bidet, bathtub. There are no extraneous animals. Only small ants run in to explore in search of something edible. Therefore, it is better not to leave anything edible in the room open. All sockets except one have a type A hair dryer. I had to ask for an adapter for C. The water in the bathroom is barely warm and a little poorly drained. The view was marred only by the rotted part of the tub around the overflow hole. The toilet flowed slowly down the drain. I had to turn it off at night. In other rooms there were chairs and a table on the balcony, but we had nothing on the balcony at all, and there was no balcony door handle either. I had to open it by the latch (the rollers from the bottom of the door had apparently disappeared long ago and the door was rubbing heavily with metal on metal). They gave me water once a day. That same night we went for a walk to the outdoor billiards bar on the third floor of the main building. They asked for a snack for the children. At the same time, I noticed an adult cockroach running around the bar. I did not raise a panic, but decided to look around and take a closer look. Alcohol and cocktails flow like a river. People drink a lot. Moreover, there are few Russians among them, but many Canadians. In the morning we went to have breakfast in the main building on the third floor in the adjacent room with a bar. There I noticed another adult cockroach in the beverage bottling area, but it quickly ran away. I haven't seen any more cockroaches. They feed normally. Scrambled eggs are fried, sometimes eggs (if available), drinks are served (including coffee). There are three types of fruits at all meals - pineapples, guava and something orange. There is a children's "menu", but there are almost no deep plates for breakfast cereals with milk (finding a plate is a whole quest). From meat at lunch and dinner, chicken, fish, beef, beef liver are fried in front of you, but not all at once. Ice cream of different colors also appears at lunch and dinner. There is one kind of cheese. There are two types of sausage and, judging by its unattractive appearance, it is real (it tastes fine). In general, you will not stay hungry. Then, after receiving 4 towels, go to the beach. The beach is very nice and pleasant. The sand is small and light, comfortable. The sun beds are free. There are umbrellas made of palm branches for free too. But there are also comfortable beach buildings for money. There are free catamarans and kayaks on the beach. A sailboat with only a "driver" and for $ 20 per person. The length of the beach is quite large, probably 500 meters. The water is beautiful and transparent. The size of the waves depends on the weather and the place where they meet. The entrance to the water is gentle. After 5-8 meters to the level of one meter deep. Further, basically, up to a distance of 9-12 meters, the depth decreases to 40 cm. And then again smoothly to increase the depth. No creatures have been seen in the water during the entire rest period, and you can swim here even at night. There is usually no one on the beach at night. A little more about the hotel itself. The staff is friendly, but there is no decent reaction to tips. Some say that the rooms in the main building are dead. Apparently, as someone is lucky. To whom it was critical, they changed to others or to a bungalow for $ 200. American billiards, three tables, all worn out. Sometimes there are parties in different styles. We managed to attend a good rock party. The local song and shake ensemble performed with a female soloist. The next day, they also sang classics. Animation and entertainment are present. The animators are trying their best. Sometimes they even put on a show in a restaurant. Sometimes a pianist plays on the second floor by the stairs. Someone even ordered KISHA for him and gave him notes. It sounded nice. At the hotel, you can make an appointment for dinner at a special restaurant, but it is not easy and you need to make an appointment immediately faster. Although the food in these two special restaurants is the same as in the main restaurant. It is only served beautifully and with wine (which is not available in other bars). There is a special dinner once a week for each nation. The food is the same. Just an excuse to gather as a nation and chat. By the pool (a puddle up to 1m without heating) in the restaurant, you need to make sure that your snack order is written down on a piece of paper and given to the chefs, otherwise you will not wait for a snack. It is better to take your own container for drinks, because their glasses are plastic and small. We took a 0.7 liter thermos for beer - very convenient. And the bartenders pour into them whatever you want without any problems. It is also better to take a beer snack with you, because it is simply not here. Flying insects are minimal here. In the evening, at a certain time, mosquitoes attack the forest, but not for long and there are few of them. Separately, about beach towels - the staff is trying to steal at least one joke. They stole one right out of our room. Fortunately, I managed to take a photo and negotiate. Otherwise, I would have had to pay $15. The staff at the hotel are trying to sell cigarettes several times more expensive ($ 3-4 a pack) than they even cost in dutik. Dark rum, at a price of $ 10 per bottle, is quite a normal purchase. I recommend taking a normal sleeping air mattress and swimming in the sea on it. Ours was a simple swimming pool and broke up on the second day. They don't sell anything similar at the hotel.
