What Starbucks doesn't know how to do is make coffee, which is surprising, since the chain was originally conceived as introducing Americans to really good coffee. In fact, no matter which Starbucks you visit, black coffee is always terrible. Some kind of watery, empty liquid, and with a disgustingly nasty bitter aftertaste. Milk coffee is drunk because it is masked by milk and syrups, probably cold drinks are good. Baked goods, sweet and not. The location is excellent. The interior is inviting to sit and work. But tell me how to work with such a threshing floor. Disgusting. Come and sit with your own business, ordering anything but coffee.
