As you know, Kyrenia is more than 3 thousand years old. The Kyrenian port is somewhat younger, as it was founded in ancient Roman times. However, nothing remains of the ancient Roman buildings. The most ancient buildings in the vicinity of the port are the Byzantine Church of St. George of the XI century, the ruins of the Crusader castle of the XIII-XIV centuries and the famous Cyrenian Castle, the construction of which was completed in the XVI century. The newest structures are pleasure boats, which are in demand by tourists for sea trips...
It's a great place. There are many different bars. There are a lot of people on the coast, but if you go a little deeper into the old town, you go into a bar and you are the only visitor there. You order your own music and relax.
The Harbor itself is interesting from a historical point of view. There are also many cafes and restaurants, a small embankment, but I do not recommend staying in hotels, as it is a very noisy place at night.
