I love this train station! Even arriving at it is a pleasure, because the train is traveling along a dam in the middle of the water! The central exit will take you directly to the Grand Canal with its berths, right in front you can buy tickets and take a vaporetto (I do not advise walking with luggage to the hotel, even if it seems that it is very close! Verified!😉
We arrived by train from Rome to Venice. We figured it out quickly, not knowing languages other than Russian and sign language😂
Before that, we read about travel maps on the Internet. Everything is available. I won't write.
The stations are all listed. You can calmly figure it out. There are a lot of people) were in June
Very comfortable. Everything is clear. The first time we bought tickets, we were not mistaken, although I was worried. The prices are very pleasant, especially when compared with a boat. The street leading to the station is wide. The only bad thing is that there are no signs around the city. We followed the phone navigator.
One of the best train stations, tourists are taken directly to the historical part of the city. I would even say not a train station, but a portal to the Middle Ages. At the exit from the station - Venice, in all its glory.
There is a water tram station nearby - vaparetto, tickets can be bought at the ticket office or at the vending machine.
The station is convenient for the traveler, there are many ticket vending machines, everything is very clear. There are many cafes and shops at the station, there is not much choice, but you can buy clothes, cosmetics, souvenirs. If you arrive for 1 day, you can leave your belongings in the luggage room. But the toilet here is paid. The station is closed at night.
Venice is a delight! the railway station is compact, modern, clean, all elevators are working, the scoreboard is everywhere, everything is clear, you will not get lost
A wonderful train station! There are water buses right next to it if you have a long way to get with your luggage. If you live on the Grand Canal, it is enough to cross the bridge. You can always take a water taxi. A good train station, a large square.
Venice is good in itself :) And the station is modern, but there are really very few places where you can sit down while waiting for the train. Except for expensive cafes :)
When you drive up by train to the Station, it feels like the train is walking on water and when you get off from Santa Lucia Station, such beautiful views open up 🤩
The station is small, but cold. So all the doors are open, then there is a draft. There are restaurants and shops, tables to eat. But for some reason the toilet is paid. So wait until your train or pay)
It's beautiful and cozy. The main thing is in the season, until the smell appears. I think the hotels are overpriced, but apparently this is a common price story
Venice Railway Station directly connects the city with Milan. Because of him, the monastery and the church of St. Lucia had to be demolished. It was opened in 1861, but it was completed until the middle of the twentieth century. It has 16 paths. Inside, everything is as it should be: ticket machines, cafes, toilets and luggage storage. There is a vaporetto parking lot and the Grand Canal in front of the exit. You can walk along Strada Nova Street to the Rialto Bridge. On the left, at the exit, the church of Scalzi.
The most important train station in Venice. Tram and bus don't count. Entering the lagoon by train gives the impression of sailing on a ship at sea. Especially if you are sitting on the port side. Even on the train, right at the train station or in the shopping center from the exit on the right, it is worth visiting the toilet. There's a problem with that in Venice. Otherwise, you will have to ask for a cafe, although there are plenty of them. The exit from the platform through the station building leads directly to the Grand Canal and the pier on it. To the Cathedral of San Marco, turn left and onto the bridge. It takes about 30 minutes to walk. You should stick to the main stream that goes there or back. There are also signs for San Marco and Rialto. In the Middle Ages, supermarkets had not yet been invented, so there are few of them there and they are unlikely to come across on the way. Venice is almost an island, you need to take food with you). Trenitalia can be punctual depending on the mood, so be patient and stock up on food for at least a few days).
cool train station. however, on the way I saw some gay men, one was strangely dressed, and the other had 3 donuts instead of bangs. there was another man chasing them, he was in the ice or something, well, the station is normal, in short, it's so cool. diverse, unusual
I remember my brother saying that in 2001 some 3 people fought, one even in the ice was 2 with a pistol and even shot himself, although he aimed at a person with ice, and the third cured 2. The first one was killed by a pin
Everything is fine in Venice, the station is no exception) Departure without delay, but getting here from another place with transfers is a real adventure. Either we were unlucky, or punctuality is not the strong point of the Italians, but there were delays on almost all routes on which I happened to travel. Therefore, good luck, patience and time for you)
Against the background of beautiful Venice, it is not remembered at all.! Just platforms and trains. Trains are running late with enviable regularity, the information on the scoreboard is not changed.
Everything is fine, except for one thing: there are no automatic storage rooms where you can put all your things. There is only a luggage room, which is serviced by an employee. But there is storage of one (!) luggage for 5 hours costs 6€!
One luggage storage room for the entire train station, long queues there. There are 2 more storage rooms on Rice Square. But they can't cope with such a tour flow
