The outside remained intact. And the inside is a little battered.
The Church of Abughamrents is one of the buildings registered as an ”immovable cultural asset that needs to be protected" in the Ani Ruins. It is also known as St. Gregor's Church and Polatoglu Church. The first construction date and banisi of the structure, which is located on the edge of the slope overlooking Bostanlar Creek, in the west of the city, are unknown.
However, based on the information contained in one of the inscriptions found on the wall of the church, it is thought that it was probably built around the year 980
The church, which has reached the present day in intact condition, was built with red, black and brownish smooth cut stones on a three-step platform.
The remains of an ancient Armenian temple. Only the foundation and columns remained. It is made unusually in a section in the form of concentric circles.
