My daughter studies at this school, moved to the 8th grade. The school is excellent, the teachers are excellent!!!There are no questions about nutrition, and in general there are no questions about school. The guys in the class are very friendly.Anyone can learn German here, it seems to me)His daughter has him every day, knows him at 9. The youngest daughter is also going to go to this school, considering that we live on Builders and near our house there are 3 schools, but let's go to this one.
Reading the comments that teachers are rude, calling names-I will not believe it!!!!Never!!!
To be honest, the kids now also have some, they don't raise their voices, they know their rights, but they forget how to behave at school! That's what bad teachers are for, and school, and everything in the world!

Well, what is it? So 11 years of my studies at the State Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 34 in Vitebsk" have finally ended. To express all that I have accumulated, I had to wait and endure for 11 years.
In this review, I will try not to offend anyone, but only speak a straightforward and honest opinion about everyone I mention. Everything you can read here is solely my view of the situation. I advise you to read to the end, especially about the teaching staff. My review is as objective as possible.
Let's start with the school building and its offices:
In 2013, I joined the 1st grade of this school. At that time, the building was quite old, in fact, which is not surprising for that time. But we must pay tribute to the fact that after a year the facade of the building acquired new colors, repairs were carried out. Old wooden windows have been replaced with plastic ones by 98%, but I am sure that over the summer holidays of 2024, the progress of window replacement will reach one hundred percent. A staircase has been repaired at the main entrance to the institution, and colorful lighting has been installed almost around the entire perimeter of the front facade.
Entering the foyer of the school, you can immediately notice the installed turnstiles, which indicates an increase in security in the institution. However, this fact is estimated, since you can enter the institution without a pass at all: the turnstile is either simply open on weekday mornings (fixed), or you can ask the guard to open it and let you through (it still works). He usually doesn't have any questions. Also in the lobby you can notice a historical electronic clock, which is older than all of us. I think they've been kept as a relic since the school was founded. I will definitely note that at last the management decided to change the sign on the reception desk, but the door remained the same. I think they will change it over time.
Walking down the corridor to the locker rooms, it can be noted that from my very first day at this school, nothing has changed there, even the composition of the technical staff has been preserved by half.
The walls near the stairs were painted, and, as far as my memory does not change, once during my entire training – in 2024. The corridor on the second floor leading to the assembly hall has also been refreshed.
What can we say about classrooms?
Biology classroom.
Yes, the most equipped classroom in the whole school. I saw the reports, more than ten thousand rubles were put into its repair. Bravo here, we tried our best. It was equipped with beautiful themed stands. Since geography lessons are often held in this room, the stands are mainly on their subject. We must pay tribute to the geography teacher Pavlova T.V., because she was very proactive in this regard and achieved many results with regard to the design of the office. Interesting visual models of volcanoes and planets were ordered. One of the two cabinets where the multiboard is installed is as huge as a TV, a touch screen with a built–in computer. Judging by the financial reports, this bandura costs about 7-8 thousand Belarusian rubles, but I hasten to reassure all parents, they ordered and paid for them from the city budget of the departments of education. Speaking of multiboards, there are two of them in the school: one stands in the biology room, the second in the auditorium and is used only at career guidance events and concerts. I don't know for what specific purpose the education department issued them, but you can see the actual picture for yourself. Speaking of the biology room, all the teachers fought wars for this room – in the truest sense of the word. Why? But everyone needed a multiboard for lessons. And, by the way, the biology classroom was our classroom, and we constantly had to change classrooms (but more on that later). In 2024, at the initiative of geography teacher Pavlova T.V., two more magnetic marker boards were installed.
Physics room.
How much fear and panic are instilled in the walls of this office, and not because of its appearance, but because of what was happening in these walls, but I will tell you about it a little later. The office has undergone reconstruction. Yes, many thousands of rubles have been invested here too (again, I say this, referring to published financial reports), the money was taken from the Board of Trustees (i.e. our money). But in the office, the battered linoleum was replaced with a new one over the years, and absolutely all the desks in the office were replaced with new ones. In general, we have created the most educational environment. The windows in the office were also changed, but not all of them.
Chemistry room.
Absolutely nothing has changed here, only the TV has been hung up, which turns on only for open lessons. I think the queue will eventually reach this office, after my review. The windows haven't even been changed.
The director's office and reception area.
That's what you don't say about biology, physics classrooms... but the director's office has suffered the most changes. Well, however, it is not surprising, the head should sit in a good aura. A door was installed between the reception area and the director's office – previously there was just an opening. Here I support the decision, because the head should be separated from extraneous noise, teachers entering and leaving the reception area. There is a new sign on the door of the office indicating the surname, first name and patronymic of our head. A glass logo of the school was hung in the reception area. It looks presentable. The tables were replaced both in the director's office and in the reception area. New filing cabinets were installed in the reception area. Naturally, plastic windows were installed. I recommend the director's office to everyone.
Assembly hall.
Well, nothing much has changed here, only wooden seats from the USSR have been replaced with new upholstered chairs. It is planned to open a museum of the school in the back of the hall. It was actually planned to open 2-3 years ago, but I believe that this is about to happen one day. I looked in there with one eye, I think they will do something worthwhile. History teacher Kanchevskaya V.V. was put in charge of the museum
, which must be noted: at whatever time of the year you would not go into the assembly hall – it will always be cold there. In winter, it will be extremely difficult to sit in it for a long time without jackets at all.
Gym.
The great hall has also been renovated more than once, the floor and walls were often painted, and all windows were replaced with plastic ones. And so, in general, there were no changes. A few years ago, sports equipment was updated. The locker rooms should definitely be redone. There is little light, there is no ventilation (which is why during the pandemic we were forbidden to use them, we changed clothes in classrooms).
The small hall (if anyone remembers its existence at all) has been completely eliminated. There have been no classes in it for about 5 years, they have arranged a warehouse of equipment from polling stations, a statue of Lenin's head (probably they will move it to the museum later), sports equipment. The floor covering, which is not surprising, has been erased by 90%. Well, at least they don't do classes there.
The office of pre-conscription training.
In the 10th grade, students will be faced with such a subject as pre-conscription training. Previously, as graduates told me, this subject was taught at school in the pre-conscription training room (in fact, an ordinary classroom with a sign "Pre-conscription training room"), but now this subject is not taught within the walls of this institution, and children are sent to study at School No. 6 on certain days, and missed lessons are forced to work for 8-9 lessons on regular school days, which naturally has a negative effect on the well-being of students. I think the education department should coordinate this moment, observing sanitary requirements, otherwise the management of the institution clearly cannot cope with this, although it has been repeatedly informed of various violations. A teacher of pre–conscription training with the surname Medvedev treats students extremely negatively and without respect. Uses obscenities and insults in the classroom.
The rest of the classrooms.
The rest of the classrooms underwent cosmetic repairs, most of them had windows replaced and televisions installed. Some of them were purchased by the students' parents. In the truest sense, parents threw off to install a cool TV for their children, and a few years later their kids were transferred to another office, where the TV bought by their parents was no longer there. So keep in mind that all the property you bought may one day go to other classes for free use. What happened to us. We bought a TV for ourselves, and subsequently we were "shuffled" around the classrooms throughout the school year, since other teachers also "set their eyes on it" and often used it in the educational process with other classes.
Dining room and meals. Compliance with sanitary standards.
Well, let's start with the interior. The windows were updated sometime in 2022-2023. All tables and benches have been replaced. But we still haven't solved the problem with soap, although we are obliged to provide it. It appears there, in my opinion, only when the hygiene center calls and says "we will come to check on you, get ready." That's when the school is put in order, it's a pity that only during the inspection. After that, everything is naturally cleaned. I would like to see new hand dryers, because the ones that are installed now are broken and they have been there since my very first day of school at this school (they are more than 11 years old).
I can't say anything good or bad about nutrition. I refused to eat in the dining room 6 years ago, after repeated incidents with cockroaches in plates, cats running around the dining room in the summer. We also had an incident with maggots in our food. No one cares until you write ten complaints to the supervisory authorities so that they come and put things in order. By the way, after the parents had already reported about cockroaches in the food with photos attached, at that time the deputy director for educational work instructed the employees of the canteen to those children who got unpleasant surprises in the food to impose a large portion of food as a sign of apology. It's a pity that it came from the same pot. Naturally, in return, we took the promise that we would not report the incident anywhere. Alas, there are a lot of such cases, and not only in this school. Therefore, I recommend that parents refuse to eat in the dining room and give their children food with them. This way, you will be sure that your child will not be given another portion of food from the same pot in which cockroaches were previously found.
By the way, cockroaches were found not only in the dining room, but also in the biology room. Naturally, the management was informed about this, videos were repeatedly shot, which we were very much asked not to post anywhere.
Temperature standards are also not always observed. It's cold at school in autumn and winter. The temperature in some offices often dropped below eighteen degrees when the heating was running at minimum power.
Regarding the observance of sanitary standards in toilets.
You can only see toilet paper here on holidays. Ask how? When the administration receives a call from the hygiene center and says "We are checking on you, get ready." Alas, this is the terrible truth. Before my eyes, on the day of the inspection, which we were also warned about, they put a couple of rolls of toilet paper in the toilet, but the next day they were no longer there. Probably, someone waited a year, and finally waited for the very day when toilet paper was brought to the toilet and used it up in one day. I think the hygiene center should not warn the school administration about upcoming visits. If it is necessary to carry out inspections, then without preparation. Otherwise, there is no effectiveness in this. Absolutely any day I can go into any of the 4 toilets (by floor) and take a video of the lack of toilet paper. Who are they trying to fool? – probably just the inspectors.
The toilets have also undergone changes. Instead of that hole in the floor, they finally put toilets and cubicles. But they still did not solve one problem – the problem of going to the toilet "in a big way". Without having toilet paper with you, your children will not be able to do this. Keep in mind.
I would like to see the doors in the booths repaired on all floors. There should be no privacy whatsoever. And I would really like to see a latch on the doors, otherwise there can be no question of comfort.
No one has changed the windows in the toilets, and they are not going to go. Let's hope that they will get their hands on them one day (I saw replacement windows in the toilets in the repair plans).
The administration of the institution.
I can't say anything bad about the director of the school Lapitsky Mikhail Nikolaevich. I know him more in the role of a teacher than a school principal, but I want to note that he is really a very good teacher. He is diplomatic, knows how to admit his mistakes, listens to students. He teaches social studies in grades 10-11. But unfortunately, there is not enough control over subordinates. There are violations at school, problems are often not solved. I think he should be more demanding of employees, pay attention to comments and problems, solve them quickly, and not close his eyes.
A little bit about the Deputy director for Academic Affairs, M.A. Alayeva:
a very demanding teacher, taught the Russian language here. He is very attentive to students, takes care of their health and well-being. If we were less lazy and learned what she tells us, I'm sure we would make very good linguists. He is diligently preparing the material. Sometimes unnecessarily overly strict. She extremely dislikes when her subject is talked about in a negative format. But also in her lessons you can hear a lot of unnecessary theory that clogs your brain more. It would be better if the classes were based on practice and work on mistakes for better memorization. It is necessary to give students the opportunity to make mistakes and explain their mistakes, because this is how the material is easier to digest. However, I personally do not like the way the educational process is organized at school under her guidance (I will talk about this later).
I will not say anything about the deputy director for economic work, because I did not have to communicate with him personally, but you can draw a conclusion about his work yourself, given the current problems of the institution.
About educational work and the SPPS office.
The working methods of this office personally seem to me extremely unacceptable. They are based on intimidation, threats against both children and their parents. If you are involved in the so–called "prevention council", I advise you in no case to go there with your child (for the safety of his psychological health, leave him at home), take a dictaphone and a lawyer with you. Do not tolerate when you and your child are being vilified and bullied in any way. Follow the law, do not allow lying and appeal against any actions of social educators and the administration of the institution if you consider them unacceptable. Defend your position and protect your child – no one but you will do it. Don't be afraid of threats about IDN inspectors and the like. You always have the right to appeal to the court, the prosecutor's office and supervisory authorities if you consider the behavior of teachers inappropriate. I remind you that the right to free use of lawyers for children and parents in the interests of children is enshrined in current legislation. Do not be afraid to contact these specialists if you are not able to understand the subtleties of law yourself – and this is also normal, because not all of you were born to be lawyers.
The "prevention council" in this institution is literally gatherings of the administration, social educators, teachers and parents with children (it is better to leave children at home), where the latter are put in the most defenseless position, they are vilified, slandered, exposed to the worst people in the world and threatened with unfavorable consequences if they do not improve. I think that it is high time to ban such "educational" events in the country. There is nothing to do with education here and there cannot be. The child receives only psychological trauma. I would like to see if there was a prosecutor at every such trial. Would the same social pedagogue be able to tell parents and children in his presence what he says in his absence? If I were my parents, I would not waste my time and ignore the agenda for this event: believe me, there will be no legal consequences for you. You don't have to leave work and go to this event.
The educational process.
I cannot keep silent about the fact that the educational process was organized for us personally in the most urgent way. We were constantly being chased from office to office, and often we had to look for an office on our own to conduct classes. It so happened that the work of the head teacher M.A. Alayeva was transferred to us to some extent. Why did it happen that we were constantly kicked out of our classroom? In our office there was only one multiboard for the whole school, which was used for educational purposes. To some extent, this fate with the multiboard has overtaken only us. Before that, we studied on another floor, where, after buying a TV with our parents' money, the teachers also brazenly began to take away our office for classes in order to use the TV for lessons. Fortunately, now there are televisions in almost all classrooms. I would not recommend assigning the most "running" classroom at school to the class, since this has an extremely negative effect on the organization of the educational process, as a result – these are the situations.
During the pandemic, we faced such a problem as a ban on the use of locker rooms near a large sports hall. Due to the fact that the institution has not organized a ventilation system in the locker rooms, the hygiene center has banned their use (according to the head teacher). The children had to be divided into groups (boys and girls) and change clothes alternately. For dessert, there were children crowding outside the doors, who couldn't wait to go into the office where children change clothes due to the fact that they have a lesson in this office, while we have a physical education lesson. Naturally, this situation was even more deplorable when the head teacher gave us a fourth physical education lesson, after which we need not only to have time to change clothes, but also to eat in the dining room. Obviously, it is impossible to do this in 15 minutes of change. I hope the problem with the locker rooms near the gym will be solved.
About the excessive processing of personal data of students and parents; about the posting by classroom teachers (namely, I.V. Kvashchenko distinguished herself) for public viewing of mobile phone numbers of parents and students with their surnames and names – I will not say anything at all, this is a completely separate topic for conversation, as well as an urgent problem of this institution, which should be paid attention to by the relevant authority.
The teaching staff.
This is probably the most interesting point in my review. Here I will try to tell you about each teacher, about his merits, mistakes. I hope they will accept this information as "points" that need to be worked on or to preserve the achievements they have achieved during this time of work.
I will not talk about primary school, I see that the teaching staff there has changed by almost 90%. Let's start with middle (high school).
Andreeva Marina Leonidovna is a teacher of the Belarusian language, literature and art.
She taught art here. An absolutely calm teacher, she tried to attract the attention of students to the subject. I was looking for interesting material for lessons. My opinion of her is extremely positive.
Voronova Svetlana Leonidovna is a teacher of physical education and health.
She has been working at this school for many years, is kind, positive, and has a good sense of humor. All graduates have only a positive opinion about her, and I am no exception.
Gritsenko Olga Vladimirovna is a geography teacher.
If you start a conversation with her on the subject of the subject, the lesson flies by unnoticed. Moderately strict. She constantly demanded 24–sheet notebooks from us - always in hardcover. He's going to a meeting. Gives you the opportunity to correct the score. He tries to keep classes in a positive mood. Sometimes there is a bad mood – but I will not condemn her for this, this happens extremely rarely, and we are all human beings. My opinion of her improved only by the 11th grade. He also tries to diversify classes, selects interactive material for the lesson. It always gives you the opportunity to take essays.
Egorenko Anna Nikolaevna is a chemistry teacher.
I will have a mixed opinion about this teacher. She is very sympathetic to someone as a teacher. But I'll tell you this: as a teacher, she is wonderful, she really enjoyed conducting chemical experiments, she also goes to a meeting, helping to correct bad grades. You can often hear humor in her lessons. But her attitude towards individual students, including me, was not pleasant. Admits somewhat offensive jokes in the classroom, I had to conduct conversations with this teacher and my parents, believe me, not only mine. By the 11th grade, her attitude had changed a little, fortunately, for the better. In general, my opinion at the end of the training remained positive. There will be something to remember.
Tatyana Valeryevna Yemelyanova is a physics teacher.
Please take everything I say here as my personal opinion. All the situations were related, including to me.
Alas, I can't mention anything good here, except for her humor. The attitude towards students is as incorrect as possible. There have been repeated complaints, including written ones. He does not meet the students halfway. Openly ignores in the classroom, showing his personal dislike. He admits violation of the established norms of the educational process, understates grades, checks individual written works for a whole quarter. He does not come to the rescue for questions that arise during laboratory work. Actually, at such moments you think, why is she even needed in class? Probably to work only with those students who understand the subject well and can go to the Olympiads to glorify the name of this teacher. In my opinion, she is acting completely unprofessionally – shifting the responsibility for not learning the material onto the shoulders of the students, because when questions arise in the lessons specifically from me, she completely ignores and pretends that I did not ask anything. Do not expect the average student performance to be high. Personally, like many people, I have the lowest mark in this subject in my certificate.
By the way, the school administration fully covers it, closely ignoring personal hostility, ignoring complaints from students. Even when the teacher's guilt is obvious and the evidence is available in the documents, the director did not have the spirit to bring this teacher to disciplinary responsibility. By the way, no matter how much the school administration assures you that this teacher gives everyone the opportunity to correct grades – consider this an absolute lie. No matter how many people have contacted her, she does not have time, then she is busy. And you ask when you can come up – in response you hear "I don't know". We washed down with water the three that she gave us, and went on to a happy life, where we would not have to worry about the next three that we received in her lessons before every physics lesson. After all, almost most of her classes are based on the control of knowledge of the material. If only this material could be explained in an accessible way without any personal relationships in the educational process…
Kanchevskaya Victoria Vladimirovna is a history teacher.
I also have a mixed opinion about this teacher. As a teacher, she is not bad, tries to explain the material in an accessible way, sometimes prepares presentations, and also often gives the opportunity to prepare them themselves, for which she gives high marks. A wonderful guide, we often went on excursions with her. However, there were moments in the educational process, I associate it more with the 8th-9th grade, when she allowed herself to yell at students, insult them. I personally witnessed these incidents. In my memory, this was the only extremely negative moment associated with this teacher. Is she meeting the students halfway? Well, you could say that, because she gave us both messages and the opportunity to prepare presentations on the subject. It was also possible to correct her marks. I would not say that the students had problems with academic performance in this subject.
Kvashchenko Irina Vladimirovna is a biology teacher.
He explains the material very interestingly, almost always prepares interesting presentations for lessons, conducts laboratory and practical work at the highest level. Pays attention to each student, promptly solves issues related to misunderstanding of the subject. He does not allow himself to underestimate the marks. I didn't notice any problems with students' academic performance in her lessons. As a biology teacher, there are no complaints, the opinion is extremely positive.
I also can't help but note that she was our homeroom teacher, tried to stay in touch even on methodical and weekend days. I tried to solve the problems of the class, however, unfortunately, it did not always work out. She helped students negotiate with teachers about correcting grades.
Klimovich Valentina Petrovna is an astronomy teacher.
An exemplary teacher. Her lessons were always conducted exclusively on a positive note. There have never been any conflicts with this teacher. Kind, knows how to keep up a conversation, attentive. She knows the material on the subject, prepared students for Olympiads, which later won prizes. Understands the importance of the subject being taught to ordinary students. By the word importance, I mean its absence. Accordingly, taking into account the need to study astronomy, organizes the educational process. The opinion about this teacher is as positive as possible. I recommend it for the award.
Ladik Sergey Gennadievich is a physical education teacher.
I rather have a good opinion about this teacher. A Soviet man. There is an individual approach to his work, and this, I think, is as important as possible, especially for the subject of physical education. Great sense of humor, absolutely always goes to a meeting. There were, of course, negative aspects in his activities, but this is most likely our fault. I don't blame him for anything, the teacher is excellent. But I recommend that you reconsider your views on some things in favor of modern times.
Leonkina Svetlana Vladimirova is a teacher of Russian language and literature.
As a teacher, he tries to interest students in studying the subject. Selects interesting presentations for lessons. He always goes to a meeting. I won't be verbose, I have a good opinion of the teacher.
Lyudvikevich Galina Pavlovna is a teacher of German and English.
As a teacher, she is wonderful, prepares well for the Olympiads, her students have prizes in the republic. However, what I didn't like about her work specifically is that her entire lesson is in a foreign language. In this regard, a lot of misunderstandings, as well as the material, occur, and regarding homework. I would like to advise Galina Pavlovna to communicate more often with students in their native language. After all, it is on it that understanding takes place. The teacher meets the students halfway, tries not to put bad marks, gives them the opportunity to correct. The opinion about the teacher is the best. However, I absolutely do not like the subject of German, and therefore I had to not study it, but just attend lessons for 11 years, only occasionally being active. I advise parents to give preference to learning English rather than German. It will be more useful for your children, and the children will thank you. Unfortunately, I cannot thank my parents for choosing a German-language school.
Murachkovskaya Svetlana Vladimirovna is a mathematics teacher.
A teacher with a very good sense of humor. I loved her lessons, because they were never boring. Yes, there may have been a misunderstanding of the material, but it pulled us to the middle mark.
Ovchinnikova Oksana Mikhailovna is a mathematics teacher.
I consider her an exemplary teacher and a wonderful class teacher. Unfortunately, she was only our math teacher, but we often kept in touch outside of lessons. The same teacher with whom I began to understand mathematics. She really knows how to explain the material competently and with understanding for students. If you have the opportunity to go under her cool guidance, go ahead, you won't regret it. Great sense of humor, always knows how to support. The opinion about her is the best. I recommend it for the award.
Solomonova Irina Vladimirovna is a teacher of the Belarusian language and literature.
A very attentive teacher. Penetrates the subject. Very sincere. The very person with whom you can just have a heart-to-heart conversation. Unfortunately, she did not get the best children (not all of them) under the classroom guidance. I think she's a great homeroom teacher. The very person with whom your children will definitely not disappear. The opinion about her is the best. He tries to meet the students halfway.
Tolstova Victoria Valeryevna is a computer science teacher.
He explains the material wonderfully, always meets the students halfway. He is sympathetic to the problems of students. Kind, sociable. The opinion of this teacher is good. In the role of a class teacher, I also advise you.
conclusion
My assessment of this institution will still remain 2 out of 5. There are extremely many negative aspects in the school: the attitude of the administration, the work of the SPPS office, the attitude of individual teachers, the state of sanitary and epidemiological safety, the protection of personal data of students are still at an unsatisfactory level.
Is it worth giving your children here? I wouldn't give it up. Remember that German is being studied here without the right to choose (although, as far as I know, English is gradually being returned to study, but please specify the information). I don't think this is relevant enough nowadays.
I also recommend that the supervisory authorities take a closer look at certain aspects of the institution's activities.
