hotel is little big small, but it has great staff

It was great experience staying at Spinel Hotel. You can walk to all historical places like Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. We had a problem with plumbers and informed the staff and they fixed it quickly!

Nice lamp hotel in the center of the old town. Corresponds to the star rating. Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque are within walking distance, and the Bosphorus is a 5-minute walk away. At the same time, the hotel is very well located - it does not go out onto noisy streets, you will sleep peacefully, without noise.
The staff is very friendly and helpful - it feels like you've come to visit your family.
The rooms are simple, of course, but we had our towels cleaned and changed daily, no complaints at all. When you choose the rooms, look carefully: there are very small rooms, and there are large ones.
Kitchen: we were at breakfast. A traditional Turkish breakfast, simple, you should not look for excesses here: eggs in various forms, greens, vegetables, spreadings, pastries, desserts. It was delicious to me. The only thing is that you won't find good coffee here, but again, there are plenty of coffee shops and stalls within a 5-minute walk.
The staff doesn't speak Russian, but it's never bothered me, for example. Google translator to help.
By the way, the dining room is on the terrace - God, what views of the Bosphorus open from here! It's only for the sake of such views that you can rent this hotel.

They were from March 12 to March 18, 2025. The hotel is small, with steep stairs leading up. Breakfast on the roof terrace. Floor 4, like, or 5. But the ladder is spiral, you don't really feel how high you're going up. View from the terrace to the sea. Breakfast is normal. Omelets, sausages, sandwiches, various spreads, coffee, tea, juice. There were no sweets, only sweet spreads. The cupcake was sweet. Sausage, cheeses. Vegetables, olives. Also cereal with milk. The staff is normal. The room was cleaned. Tea was available for free at the reception. It was possible to pay either in euros or in lira. The room is small, but fine. A wardrobe, a mirror, a bedside table, a small TV (I didn't turn it on), and the air conditioner could be turned on for heat. The batteries are there, the heating was turned on. It was dirty under the bed, but the room was clean. The door was closed in a simple way, not on the map. By location: 12 min walk from the tram. It's a bit hard going uphill, of course. It would be better to stop next to the tram. It's more convenient than taking the subway. The subway that is near this hotel does not go anywhere at all. The nearest metro station, which can take you both to the airport and to all the sights, is an 18-minute walk away. The hotel is located next to Hagia Sophia. But it takes 1 day to view this area, the rest of the days to walk to the tram or metro. It was hard to get from the airport on your own. Especially this slide that waits after getting off the tram. It's very cool. It's generally fine. I chose this hotel because I thought the subway was nearby and it was a thrill. And then the subway, as I wrote above, does not go anywhere in the sights at all. And we have visited a lot of areas and more than once the navigator has not built a path through this subway. But it's budget friendly, and it also includes breakfast. We paid 21,000 rubles for 6 nights.

A cool hotel with an interesting terrace where breakfast is served - with a great view of the Bosphorus! We saw dolphins having breakfast 🙂
The breakfasts are normal. The rooms are good. The specifics of the old city and old buildings imply steep stairs, but this is the flavor For which they actually go to the old city area of Istanbul!
The prices are adequate and you can always negotiate 🙂

One of the advantages of this hotel is the location within a 2-minute walk of the Blue Mosque and AyaSofia, the Basilica Cistern, etc.. Breakfast with views of the Bosphorus and the Marmara Sea.
Among the disadvantages : a shabby room stock, cramped, restless neighborhood of a night cafe and a construction site under the window. Overall : fine

An old hotel without renovation in the rooms, the washing machine does not work, it just takes up space. The hotel is in an inconvenient dead end, the taxi did not immediately find the location. The breakfasts are meager, the same every day. A very complicated spiral staircase, narrow. I am pleased with the area in the rooms, it is not crowded and separate bedrooms, it is convenient for the family.

We arrived at the hotel at 17.00. The time was 19.30, they did not check in, Because the room was occupied by another tourist, because, as they explained to us, she was ill and could not be evicted. The room was booked in advance and paid for. They just kicked me out without solving the problem. We stayed safely outside in the evening. Unfortunately, it does not load the video with the proof.

A small hotel, small rooms, narrow corridors, steep stairs, no elevators for suitcases. We chose it because of the location - a 4-minute walk to the historical center of Istanbul. And there were apartments for 4 people. Not everyone has it or it costs more. In winter, the restaurant is open only for breakfast, the views are beautiful. There is a promenade nearby where you can go for a walk
