Beautiful landscapes. The air is fresh.
We need to try and ride on these tracks. It is advisable to arrive early on weekends. Parking spaces are convenient to take.
The black highway is a separate topic. For professionals and extreme athletes. But at the top of the beauty!!!
The staff works well to arrange for the lifts. As for the food, it's not bad, however, you'll have to wait for a table on the weekend.
A place for family holidays. The snow has been lying for a very long time, as the place is located in the mountains. There are a variety of trails for both children and adults. The views of the mountains are amazing, fresh air, clean snow. This place was recommended to us by the guys from bigtrip.kz, they showed us the most beautiful nature of Kazakhstan.
Amazing ski resort!!! lots of long trails, great variety, incredible views! and the view from the highest point is just a delight! There's a great ramen joint right next to the cash registers - the hot soup was a great way to end the day.
A great place to relax both in winter and summer
The nature is simply gorgeous.
Skiing is great, both for learning and for the experienced.
Horseback riding or hiking in summer
Nice hotel, swimming pool, restaurant
The track is interesting and multifaceted, you can both freestyle and ride along a packed route. The condition of the highway is good. The view is beautiful. The staff on the lifts is open, ready to give suggestions and answer questions!
I rested there for 3 days. I am happy with my vacation, I advise you to visit this place.
PS I rested on weekdays. I don't know how things are going over the weekend.
It's a good resort, but the trails are a bit boring. There is evening skiing. A couple of cafes are present. Rental with very expensive prices and poor equipment. It is very difficult to call a taxi in the evening after riding, so be careful and perhaps arrange a return trip with the taxi driver in advance.
Hello! I had a rest on Ak Bulak. The nature is simply amazing, the air and water are clean and magical! The water can be drunk from the tap, it is very clean and delicious. Good service, good staff. Highly recommend it!
The black track is good, in general the resort is big and there is practically no time to get bored. However, it's difficult to eat deliciously, you can only replenish your skipass by standing in line, there are many ways to get stuck on the dacha, and the eternal bias to the right irritates my nervous system quite a lot. In any case, I open every season right here on the black highway :)
The slope, the snow gives a head start to the Cimbulac and the Forest Fairy tale. The infrastructure is 3 with a minus. But the main thing for us raiders is the slope and the snow! If you choose between Chimba and Bulak, Bulak definitely wins! The forest is very good, the infra is also good, but the low slopes are not bad, but the difficulty is for an average level.
Cool. Very good for beginner skiers. The training slope is great. There are many instructors, including those for special children.. It is easy to find an instructor right on the spot.
Cool slopes, views, nature. Wonderful instructors!
But there are also disadvantages.:
- very long lifts
- poorly developed infrastructure (it's a long way from the highway to the bathroom)
- there are few places where you can sit and eat good food. There are enough places for snacks.
Mmm beauty! Mountains! The pool! Steam room! Massage! Delicious cuisine! Pleasant atmosphere! All in one! It's just magical! I advise everyone to visit this cool place.
It's a great place. Mountains, sky, air. Beauty. Nice ski resort with a hotel and a swimming pool. You can get there by bus from Talgar. However, it rarely goes and not according to schedule.
Mountains! The air! Beautiful view! There is snow-white snow in the season! Driving mood! Skiing, walking, cable car! You need to see it with your own eyes! Lots of people, everything is in its own rhythm! It's a beautiful place!
Excellent slopes for beginners, excellent instructor Niyaz, who explained everything clearly, controlled, insured and generally put me on skis in 20 minutes. So Ak Bulak is forever in my heart ♥️
The place itself is good, but they don't want to develop the infrastructure. It's not convenient to get there (from Alma Ata), they went there by taxi, it seemed like they were going anywhere else, but they had to take public transport back, which they didn't want to let them into without covers..... They had to because it's simply not possible to call a taxi there, no one goes. There seems to be a place to eat, but there are no people there, skipasses are a little cheaper than in Shimbulak. The black highway is not wasted, it's frozen (at the time of our arrival). We were 5 years ago, at about the same time, everything was much more fun, life was bustling, and now it's depressing, and all because of poor logistics.
A very unpleasant feeling remained afterwards. We came on a day off to ride balloons. We had our own tank. So not only were we not allowed inside, but the staff, in the form of a big bully, just grabbed onto our balloon and yelled at us. My three-year-old child was sitting on the balloon for a minute. The employee did not respond to the request to release that the child was scared. He just clung to her husband's arm and wouldn't let go and screamed. It's like we're criminals. We weren't going to go in there after that. They were allowed to enter there only by renting their cylinders, the price was 5000 tenge/hour. There is only one slide, the queue is a kilometer long, and half an hour of this hour goes away while waiting for your turn to descend. The queue is first to rent the cylinders, then another queue for the slide. It turns out that for 5,000 tenge you only manage to get down once! What kind of business is this out of thin air? A scam of pure water! And if the family has many children? Do you have to pay 20,000 to roll down this miserable slide once? I won't recommend it to anyone else. It's better to go to the free roller coaster before you get there. It's sunny there, and there are several of them, and most importantly, it's free. The main thing is to get the cylinders somewhere.
I am so glad that this time we went to Akbulak. Since we are not yet professionals, Akbulak is the best thing for us. Gentle slopes. The year before last, at another ski resort, I was afraid that I seemed to be on the ridge of the mountains, and that there were sharp cliffs behind the nets, I thought I would no longer ski. And in Akbulak there are no such cliffs at any height, or I did not notice. We will definitely come back.
It's a beautiful view. Clean air. Clean water.
But the hotel is clearly tired, the rooms need renovation, the plumbing is old, the furniture is too, the pillows are very uncomfortable, but the linen is clean. The rooms are very poorly cleaned, the carpet is dirty and dusty.
There is a mini-cooler, but there is no kettle, but there are glasses in the room. We drank from the tap, everything is OK, we are alive and well.
The hotel is very warm. We slept with the window and balcony open, and the battery was turned off. There's snow and snowdrifts on the cliff, and the road is being cleaned.
We had a rest in a small company, New Year's Eve holidays. Little Switzerland. The rooms are clean, tidy, and most importantly in the winter season, the heat is in the room, and this is very important!
There is a single BUT.... THE RESTAURANT SERVICE IS LOUSY:(, they asked for bread for a long time, and much more:)
And so, the place to relax is COOL!!!
The sky-high cost of parking is 2000 tenge, the cost of ski passes this year is very high, despite the fact that there have been no changes at the resort since last year. It's a long way to go, parking after 12.00 turns into hell: parking attendants only take money, cars are parked everywhere, it's inconvenient to leave, huge pits, sometimes it's problematic to drive in a sedan. We only go because of the coach, otherwise the resort has become very bad. There is one cafe with a paid toilet, the rest are eateries without a toilet with stools
It 's a pity that a ski resort in such a place is slowly being blown away .
The last time the family paid 47,000 for 4 ski passes , these are 2 adults and 2 children , the daughter is 12 years old , they were charged as young people .
Parking 2000 thousand , toilet 150 tenge .
So it turned out to be $ 100 per family, and this is without rental, card purchase, and even without tea)))
It's a fairly democratic place, and the bypass road has become better. The slopes themselves are good and the hotel complex is on the level. Even if you don't ride, there is a place to walk.
Hello everyone
It was the most terrible vacation on any ski slope, so I want to support my compatriots, but alas and ah....so I booked in January for my family (I am a husband of two children and a mother) for the month of March, the first one I booked means a family suite (there is a confirmation of the reservation), as a result, they settled into two standard rooms, ok, I turned a blind eye to it, until the last one I asked if the cable car was working, they answered, yes, as a result the apartment does not work, there is no half of the food in the dining room, there are no toothbrushes in the rooms, there is no kettle, additional space cannot be arranged for the child (although we should have lived in a family room), there is no water! But the most interesting thing was waiting for us at night, three streams of children from the camp came with us, we were NOT notified in advance and this horde of children did not let us sleep at all, of course it was the fault of the administration and counselors, the children in the camp were aged second/third grade and older, they were just yelling, drinking alcohol, raging, what The cool ones just said, well, the kids, the reception threw up their hands! The most annoying thing is that we were not warned about anything in advance, we flew from Aktau for 5 hours to get to them, there is no such terrible attitude anywhere. We go skiing every year, this year we decided to go to Kazakhstan, but if you want to spoil your vacation, go to Akbulak Kazakhstan.
We spent an unforgettable time at the recreation center "Ak Bulak". The magnificent view, the chic air and the pleasant atmosphere made our family vacation truly magical. This is an ideal place for those who want to enjoy peace and quiet with their family. We recommend it to all families who are looking for a place for a secluded and relaxing holiday.
A good lower slope, even for beginners. The top one looks very complicated, not for everyone.
There aren't many people.
There is a cafe and a rental service.
It's difficult to leave in the evening - you can't order a taxi. There is a regular bus.

On the plus side, there are generally interesting trails for training and skiing, and the location itself is quite good. There are no questions about skating and instructors, everyone will find the right one for themselves. The views are not bad, but the place is much lower than cimbulac and you don't need to expect any views there. Yes, prices have been reduced after the winter.
Cons - they can't afford to pave the road inside and out of their ring, it's terrible, like in the village. Entrance 2000, too much. The covered parking lot has turned into a toilet, there is no lighting, it is dirty. There are puddles and slush on top, no drainage at all. If you lower a bunch of minuses and close your eyes, then you can drive.
The complex was built back in Soviet times and was modern for those times, but now it lacks order in the parking lot, and evening skiing is scarce with poor light, a short track, a weak short track and huge queues. The snow was dry and old, and the guns weren't working. They rolled down 3 times and left. Recommend not b\
I liked the slopes, but not the infrastructure.
One toilet is 150 tenge and it is unclear how to pay
The kebab shop at the landing on the gondola is terrible, not tasty and there is no menu for a long time. The resort is suitable for skaters if there is a lot of snow. There are anti - avalanche gazexes , you can ride between the Christmas trees
But if there is no snow, then there is nothing to do there.
It is difficult to call a taxi, it takes a long time to wait
The cost is a good descent for children, students and non-athletes, although there is a steeper descent, but I have not been there yet.
Having places to eat or drink tea is not enough.
Very good gentle slopes for beginner skiers. There are few people on weekdays, which allows for productive skating .Of the disadvantages, online replenishment of ski passes.
A gorgeous ski resort with a beautiful view, the only drawback is the chairlifts to the highest point, you can freeze while you get there (a little whiskey and Cola help keep warm, so everyone should take note), but it's worth it, it's worth visiting this place at least once. If you are going to ride from the end point, it is worth thinking a few times, it takes skill and dexterity to roll down from there
Terrible service. Instead of a barrier, there are 3 employees with the QR code Kaspi at the entrance. Then you need to climb up the hill on a non-working escalator. There are only paid dirty toilets in the complex, where the hand dryer does not work and there are no paper towels. In the cafe, they came to us only after 40 minutes to clean the table. I have no desire to return here and would never recommend this resort to anyone. The queues for the lift are 40 minutes long, with half of the seats leaving empty.
A good place for beginner skiers and snowboarders. Wide and gentle slopes. There is a rental service, an instructor scale, and a lot of children. A wheelchair and a chairlift. Skiing on cheesecakes Is where to have a snack and drink tea. Honey. Point. In general, I normally visit regularly. I don't like the fact that parking lots are always littered with snow, so some park outside in the field, there is no lighting in indoor parking lots, you will break your legs while walking through the labyrinths. Not a convenient schedule, the time to choose from is either 4 hours or a full day. 4 hours is a lot, it turns out that all the paid time is not rolled out. If you change your mind about riding, there is no refund of the ticket. Entry is paid. But all these disadvantages are nothing compared to the received emotions and good mood.
Improve the service, upgrade the renovation, more entertainment for children, the menu is more interesting and will be one of the best for a family vacation in the mountains.
Excellent ski resort. However, there is a small drawback, there is not enough lighting on the tracks at the end of December in early January, by the time the afternoon session ends, it is already dark on the tracks, so it would be great if there were lights that would help complete the races.
If there is snow and you know how to ride only the black track is only hardcore. The rest is too flat in places, so flat that the snowboarders unfasten themselves to move on. But the forest and the views are beautiful, follow the photo here!
Great place , very beautiful , fresh air . We had a rest together with colleagues in a large team. We had a great time, the kitchen is also good. I advise everyone to definitely visit this place 💚
Everything is fine, there are slopes, only students work at the rental, they didn't set up my skis correctly, I BROKE my LEG in a fall, they took an instructor for the children, he reconfigured their skis.
Cool mountains, good wide trails, normal lifts, but the service is about zero.
Disgusting toilets (a hole in the floor), squalid cafes (expensive and not tasty).
With a little bit of managerial talent, you can make a super cool place. In the meantime, 4 is for nature, not for what people have done.
