We stayed at the Sofitel for one night on 21.09-22.09.24, flew with a transfer from Italy to Russia. The room price is 200€. We hoped to sleep comfortably. There are many more budget hotels nearby, but we chose the Sofitel in the hope of good service and comfort. At the reception, upon receipt of the room, I asked if the windows overlook a noisy street. The young man at the reception informed that the room is on the 7th floor and it will be quiet, not noisy. But the hotel room overlooked the mosque, where there is a busy traffic of taxi drivers and trams. In the evening, there was noise from the walking crowd, and morning prayers and sounds from the mosque did not give an opportunity to sleep. Carpets in the corridors are not vacuumed. As there were crumbs all over the hall in the evening, so they stayed until 12 o'clock the next day. The second extremely unpleasant fact: the taxi driver, after he brought us from the airport and dropped us off near the hotel, began to demand payment for 200 lira more than on the taximeter. He did not warn us in advance about the additional costs and that we would have to pay extra in addition to the number on the meter. The hotel staff did not let us into the reception and demanded to give the taxi driver an additional 200 lira. And third: in the evening, in the hotel restaurant after 23 o'clock, nothing is cooked except tea and alcohol ... after a long flight, I wanted a light salad/snacks, but nothing worked anymore. This is not a 5* hotel level, alas. I can't recommend it, I have no desire to come again, although we often fly through Istanbul.
I really love this hotel for its excellent location, beautiful interiors, delicious breakfast, comfortable rooms and reasonable prices. The hotel has a restaurant with indoor and outdoor areas, with an outdoor area overlooking the Bosphorus.
Nice hotel, good location, near the metro, pedestrian zone, and close to the embankment. It is clean and cozy, the furniture and appliances are decent, the staff is friendly, all requests are fulfilled.. Thanks
We stayed at this hotel from 04/22/14 to 04/27.24 in room 1303. This is just a terrible hotel!!! We had a view room, but because of the dirt on the windows (I think they have not been washed since the construction of the hotel), the view was so-so (the room needs repair like the whole of Istanbul. The mini bar is not replenished, on the first day of our arrival a bottle of wine (0.3) was opened and the tonic was not replenished for a week (on the day of departure, after 12 we already received a call, and they ran to check us, we did not take out the entire refrigerator)) . In principle, there are no hygiene items in the room. a toothbrush, cotton pads do not replenish anything!!! Yes, they were not there when checking into the hotel. the toilet brush was also missing). I read in the reviews that the rooms are being prepared for bed, but we have never (. The breakfast is simply disgusting!!! It's not 5 stars at all, the best thing is cheese. That's it!! The bar on the 1st floor closes at 23:30(. Russian russians are simply disgusting, the girl at the reception was very dismissive of our card (when they left a deposit) and she told us that Russian cards do not pass, in response to the answer that we had a union, she could not roll it (but in the restaurant of this hotel this card easily passed! Do not stay at this hotel! For 35k a day, you can find better hotels. The hotel does not correspond to the declared category. There is no service!! This is not a European Sofitel.
Excellent spacious rooms with everything you need for work and leisure. We were pleasantly surprised by the presence of a large work area - not every hotel has such a thing. Good meeting rooms with everything you need for fruitful teamwork. Excellent service. In the photo, the view from the roof on the 9th floor
The Sofitel Hotel is simply gorgeous! Starting from the location, ending with luxurious rooms. The staff is always friendly and very caring, the breakfasts are excellent: any omelets, red fish, fresh croissants, hot snacks, fresh juices and much more. Despite the noisy and crowded area, the hotel is incredibly quiet and comfortable! This is not the first time we have come here and we will definitely come back again! Thank you, Sofitel!
We were robbed by the room service staff . They change like in a kaleidoscope . They forgot to put their purse with cash in the safe and went out for lunch. They didn't steal 300 euros! Very unpleasant!
The hotel is wonderful, the cleanliness is perfect, the breakfasts are gorgeous, the rooms and views are excellent. The noise insulation is average, but it does not interfere with sleep
Terrible hotel, honestly for 300 euros per night,I dreamed of spending a wonderful day,but I got what I got, terrible towels, just shameful, dirty, gray, threads sticking out,no soap or napkins in the room, breakfast was also poor, the room requires cosmetic repairs, disappointment:(
I'll give you five stars, but it 's a stretch!! We lived in a two-storey penthouse!! The cleaning is super!! And that's it!!!)))) It's my wife's birthday, no reaction!! Breakfasts suck, but I don't put a minus sign because everywhere in Istanbul in hotels breakfasts suck, even if it's five stars!
I really liked the hotel, to be honest it is the best 5 rooms we have stayed in the last few months. The location is super - 50 meters from the famous Vyshklal Street, along which it is easy to walk to the Galata Tower or even further, across the bridge to the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. The rooms are very comfortable, the bed is probably the largest that we have seen, the breakfasts are also decent. I would also like to note the high level of service provided by the hotel staff. Deserved 5 stars.

I'll start with a good one - the location is convenient. That's all. We stopped twice, the first time at the end of April, then a week after. The first time we booked a "luxury room with a view of the Bosphorus" - the view of the Bosphorus is a small window (dirty window) through which you can see the Bosphorus when you go to the window and look away. The room is old and needs to be repaired. Breakfast for 25 euros is terrible, there is nothing at all like in a three-piece in Europe on the way to just sleep during a car trip.
For the second time, we decided to take an improved room - there, as on the official website and booking, it is indicated that the area of the improved and luxurious is the same!!! And there are no differences between them, except for the type.. We didn't need a view, so we chose it.
As a result, the superior room is smaller than the luxurious one in terms of area in everything - the main room and the bathroom! Shampoos are from a different company, much simpler than in a luxury one!
The most important thing is that it is impossible to use the shower! The water drains badly, the whole bathroom is in water, it flows out into the corridor. The air conditioning is loud in the second room. The bed doesn't change even for a tip. The third set of towels - they forget to bring it all the time. The hotel staff does not solve the problem. He just says we'll do everything. And they don't do anything. This is the worst hotel I've ever lived in. Be careful.
And yet - in order to use the mini bar - you need to leave a deposit at the reception, after which they will remove the lock - and this is in five stars!
We were with my husband in March 2023. We checked into a room that is lower in category than we paid for. We dealt with the reception for a day. We were resettled several times. In general, I do not understand why it was impossible to immediately check into the room for which we paid.
In addition, the window in the room leaked during the rain. The water was flowing straight from the ceiling. And there was also a lot of water flowing from the pipes under the sink.
One of the advantages is breakfast.
A great hotel in a noisy place. The service is at a high level. The only drawback is if you book a suite, be prepared that it will be noisy until 23-30, because the suites are located upstairs, and immediately above them is a restaurant - it can be very fun and loud there.
