It's a very beautiful place! We got there at sunset, the views are fabulous. You just need to be careful when building a route. The navigator leads to the foot of the hill where the church stands. You can't park there by car, and it's a bit difficult to drive in a passenger car. You need to put a point with your hands on the other side. We took the wrong route, and in the end we had to walk in circles until we found an uphill climb, and then we had to climb through a fence to get to the church.
A very beautiful, ancient place, quite sparsely populated, which is comfortable to visit, unforgettable views from a height, no camera will convey such a picture, only a living human gaze! To individual visitors: no one needs your inscriptions on an ancient engraving, it is not worth spoiling, and there are so few such places left.
It is very beautiful, you can see far away in good weather, the road is relatively good, you can get there by car, reconstruction is underway in the temple itself, but you can look in, there are handkerchiefs for women. You can walk around the territory freely
The Bedia Cathedral is one of the farthest points of the tourist route in Abkhazia. Nevertheless, even if you are not a Christian pilgrim, I recommend visiting this sacred place at least once in your life!
Despite the fact that the building has been in a deplorable state for a long time, and the Bedi Cathedral is not officially operational, people still come! This is one of the few places where it feels like Heaven is within reach and you can talk directly to your Father!
Watch the video about our trip on our channel (BC WOLVERINE | Family Travel).
It's very beautiful, if you eat yourself, then take into account 2 times the navigator leads the wrong way, we read it, and missed it, but very, very in vain))
With a small u-shaped fork, you need to drive along a concrete slab, in short you will see concrete slabs on the road, you are there, it is not critical, in principle, the dead end is not far away, but it is very unpleasant to turn around, narrow and creepy))
And most importantly, when you are in the village in front of the temple, do not turn into the first turn, the navigator leads so that there is a road into a hill with cobblestones at 45 degrees, you do not need to go there, there is no passage and you will not reach the cathedral on foot, although you can see it, the next turn is needed with a temple sign, the entrance is absolutely comfortable
Pay special attention to the second warning, otherwise, a lot of gradual time and testing of the car are provided for you)
A very powerful place of power. An extraordinary place with a crazy view and aura. The only downside is it's hard to get there. Of course, it is better to go through Tkvarchal than from the highway. The road is mostly asphalt.
It's a very beautiful place. People knew how to choose a place for a temple! The building impresses with its antiquity. They didn't get inside. The temple has been partially restored from the outside. Views from a high hill to beautiful cliffs and a populated valley. The photos turn out very well...
A masterpiece spiritual place.
It is strange that the temple was shot from tanks in 92-93, the shooters seemed to be Orthodox too.
Nearby are the ruins of monks' cells - hermitages, dated by the locals as the III century BC ... 😯☝
It is a very beautiful place, so beautiful that it takes your breath away, it is located on a hill, it is a pity that the temple does not work. You can take colorful photos
It is a very picturesque place. We were at a charity concert by Hibla Gerzmava. The sound in the mountains is amazing!!! Sunset and full moon over the mountains... It's magical!!!
There are not even words to tell about this beautiful place! The miracle of our planet! Be sure to take food for dogs and cats to this region , feed all the hungry and you will be rewarded from this holy place🙏
It's just a magical place. If you are in Abkhazia, I recommend you to visit. There is no transferable atmosphere here. The temple is being restored now, as far as finances allow. Soon there will be a dome here, but for now it is being made. I come here every time I come to Abkhazia. I do not recommend going without a guide or a tour guide. Since the roads are bad, so as not to get lost. And you can't do without the history of the place. A wonderful guy Roman will meet you on the spot, at least I always meet him there.
An atmospheric ancient place! It is a pity that they are only making sure that this temple does not fall apart and is not being restored. Another disadvantage is that there is no road to get there, only stones. But it's still worth getting there! The views around are amazing! You can enter the temple.
At the time of August 24, I would recommend driving a higher car, at least a crossover, because the road is still littered with stones and it is easy to tear through the bottom of the car at best.
As for the place itself, perhaps the best place in Abkhazia. The views are fascinating, one hundred percent worth a visit!
It's a very atmospheric place! Exciting, beautiful! Beautiful view of the village - everything is in the palm of your hand! There are a lot of legends about this place.
An amazing place in Abkhazia. The cathedral was incredibly impressive. The X century- just imagine. I recommend everyone to visit, of course, it's not easy to get there, but it's worth it.
The views are gorgeous, the territory is well maintained.
I would really like the cathedral to be restored.
Such holy places must be protected and preserved.
An interesting non-banal place that is worth visiting for everyone who prefers traveling to mattress rest. Travel advice: drive through Tkuarchal: an asphalt road has recently been paved from this city. The road is generally in good condition, but there are several places on the way that have been washed away by water to a stone substrate. About 4 kilometers from Tkuarchala there will be a U-shaped intersection with concrete slabs, downhill - there you go, they lead to a small section of dirt road built instead of an asphalt road collapsed by a mudslide. In the village of Agubedia there is a faded signpost to the temple. Turn onto a dirt road. Then the navigator behaves incorrectly: when it offers to turn, ignore it, you need a second right turn, and then you will arrive directly at the gate to the temple complex. As of the end of April 2023, almost any car can handle the road (I drove an Opel Astra).
A majestic place.! The road is not for all cars, preferably crossovers or Russian Samaras, generally not on puzaterki! The view is beautiful, the temple has been preserved from the outside very well, inside there are remnants of ancient murals on the walls. If the navigator leads from the right side in front of the cathedral, turn around and drive higher up the road, here you can go directly to the site in front of the temple, and if on the first way you will have to climb through the bushes and climb over the fence :)
I am glad that the cathedral is being restored. There are amazing views around. The road is quite long and tedious, covered with large rubble, but it is quite passable for a passenger car and especially a crossover.
It's a cool place, theoretically it's fashionable to get there by car. The view is beautiful.
Worth a visit, the locals will tell the whole story and treat you to fruits and nuts according to the season.
It was worth driving off-road to visit this place. Not so much the temple itself, but its location and views. Wonderful. I definitely recommend you to visit.
This, Vasya, is a great place!!! If you want to surprise, like only your own, your little ones, your big ones, if you want to please your friends, take them there. But on a normal car. Not a low BMW, nor a vaunted Mazarati, but a jeep-type UAZ, it's been on it for a long time. Better cruzac, Jeep Cherokee. Both efficiently and quickly
This is an unsafe place. Crazy energy!!!!! Power!!!!You feel it already on the way to the temple. It's breathtaking. I haven't felt such emotions for a long time. We have been to Abkhazia a lot of times, but we got here for the first time. And now we are delighted with this magic and majestic beauty

I recommend everyone to visit, a place with a very rich history and energy, it is better to stop by from the city of Tkuarchal (the road is better).
The most beautiful place in Abkhazia, it is not so easy to find, you can get there by car. Nature, air, and the colors of the landscape are fascinating. The once magnificent temple is slowly but surely being destroyed. It hurts to tears that the century-old priceless relic will soon disappear! The locals are trying to save what is left on their own and ask random tourists to help with money for gasoline to mow the grass, in return they will conduct a small tour for you. Be sure to turn into the village, wonderful hospitable people live there. You will certainly be invited to taste the local honey and wine👍
The place impresses with its pristine, antiquity, a beautiful place for photo shoots. We've been inside, the lock on the gate is a dummy, you can move it and it will open. In 2007, they wanted to add it to the UNESCO list, even began reconstruction work (the forests inside were preserved), but after the recognition of Abkhazia by Russia in 2008, reconstruction was suspended.
The place is not human, it is divine
Our whole society is falling off here and you communicate only with heaven if you know how to do all the best. In the first photo, this temple is not inferior in grandeur to the neighboring mountains. By the way, the villagers are trying to restore at least the roof of this temple on their own, it flows terribly, and I so want this temple-mountain to accept not only our generations. Find out during the visit and make an offering for restoration
It's a great place. Very beautiful. It is better to go in sunny weather. And the beauty of the places makes your head spin. It is better not to risk driving in low-slung passenger cars.
And for the copper barbosa, take some sweets. He's always on duty there.
It's a beautiful place. The temple is located on a mountain with an amazing view. You can sit in silence for a long time and think about the eternal. It is better to get there by road through Tkuarchal. It's much lighter. You can go inside the temple and light a candle. I recommend
My place of strength, love, tranquility, well-being. Every year I come there to wander in the silence of the mountains and the grass. It's a beautiful place.
The beauty is extraordinary, the nature, the views are simply gorgeous, I recommend visiting, but it is better to take an individual tour, it will be a pity to have a suspension on your car. The medieval Orthodox church in Abkhazia, in the Tkuarchal district of the partially recognized Republic of Abkhazia, according to the administrative division of Georgia - on the territory of the Abkhazian Autonomous Republic, in the village of Agubedia, is one of the most significant examples of Georgian architecture of the 10th century. The date of construction is 999. The Bedian temple.
A mystical place, open space, few tourists, the entrance is built separately on the gray side, it's a pity the facing with carved stone has moved away, lies in the grass, few people live in the area, mandarin nuts grow, honey is collected. There is a place in front of the cathedral for a picnic (requests to take garbage with you) feed the dogs, the cows are arrogant but their dogs chase
It's hard to get there by car, but if you're careful, you can take a potbelly. On the crossover, no problem. I damaged one tire on a sharp stone. A plucker on the tread. But the place is amazing. I recommend you to visit.
