A great place!!! A must-visit!!! Very beautiful. The beautiful architecture of the Cathedral. It is very large and majestic, rising to the sky. This Cathedral is visible from anywhere in Tbilisi. A very large, beautiful, green area, one feels calm and peaceful. There is a magnificent view of Tbilisi from the square near the Cathedral. I was on Saturday, at about 17:00, a service was held in the Cathedral. Loudspeakers are installed on the territory of the Cathedral and the entire service can be heard on the street. The magnificent singing of the male choir. I want to come back here again and again.
A fantastically beautiful place, I come here once walking around Tbilisi.
- it's so beautiful here. A huge clean square with an impressive temple on a hill
- beautiful Trinity Cathedral. It's even more impressive inside than it is outside. I come here to be alone with myself. To remember friends and relatives.
- very close to Rikke Park. Fifteen minutes on foot and we are in this beautiful place.
I sincerely advise you to visit
An amazing place!
Incredible strength and power can be felt from the place.
I have always seen this temple from afar and the view was fascinating, but the energy around the temple and inside is simply incredible!
There's a vibe inside. Power, love, comfort, scale. I was in the evening and got to the evening service, and it was wow!
There are many beautiful icons and installations. Thanks to the city for this place!)
There is also a beautiful area near the temple. A small park, fountains and cute dogs on the territory)) a very beautiful and atmospheric place, of course!
Tsiminda Sameba ("Holy Trinity") is the second cathedral of the Georgian Orthodox Church after Svetitskhoveli, located on the hill of St. Elijah (left bank of the Kura) in Tbilisi, on the site of the Khodji-Vank monastery of the 17th century. There are 10 thrones in the cathedral, the lower temple is dedicated to the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, there is a belfry and three temples: in honor of the prophet Elijah, in honor of the Holy Spirit (there is a cruciform baptismal pool), in honor of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God above the gates of the monastery (services for the deaf and dumb are held there), the total height of the cathedral with the underground floor is more than 100 meters.
Georgia has made an impression of a country with a large number of believers. This cathedral is the largest in the country. It was built relatively recently, at the end of the existence of the USSR, in 1989 the idea of its construction appeared, and it was opened in 2000.
The cathedral has become an architectural dominant and is visible from most of the city.
It seems that there is no shortage of temples in Tbilisi, so the question arises: was the construction of another one, so large-scale and expensive, justified? However, it's none of my business.
The Hope of Georgia icon, which cost $28 million to create, is kept inside the cathedral. Knowing this, it's a little strange to see donation boxes next to her.
Every time I go, I try to go to the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. The landscaping is very beautiful, especially in summer, so much greenery, you can sit on a bench. The atmosphere of peace is rather behind this feeling and pulls there.
It stands out very much in the architecture of the city. The territory and the temple itself are well maintained, while the territory is quite large. Today, it is probably the most significant Orthodox church in the Caucasus. Inside the temple, I would recommend paying attention to the details of the decoration and various old religious attributes. By these signs, it is possible to understand the real history and culture of Georgia in recent centuries, which some residents are trying to distort today.
A large modern temple. A peaceful place and a beautiful view of the city. There is a park area where you can sit on a bench and relax. The downside is frankly obsessive beggars who come up and brazenly start asking for money, what's inside the temple, what's outside.
How very beautiful it is there! Everything is well maintained, there are a lot of green flowers! Cozy atmosphere! A very beautiful Cathedral! Great view! It's a pleasure to be there! I definitely recommend it
A beautiful ancient temple. Everything is well-groomed and gentrified. It's nice to take a walk, admire the architecture and how smart people know how to develop and refine the city.
It is a very beautiful cathedral. It is clearly visible from the center of Tbilisi, it is an ornament not only of the Avlabari district, but also of the whole of Tbilisi. There is a good view of the city center from the square in front of the cathedral. Required for tourists to visit!
The largest cathedral in Georgia and in Tbilisi, this temple impresses with its grandeur and beauty. A must-visit place if you come to Tbilisi. A huge church with a well-maintained territory and a magnificent view of the city, which opens from the temple. It is clearly visible from all observation decks. This is a really impressive place that is worth seeing.
Trinity Cathedral.A large-scale structure, on a high mountain, surrounded by a park area.Everything looks very majestic and beautiful.Nearby on the territory is the Church of Elijah the Prophet.
Tsminda Sameba or "Holy Trinity" is the second cathedral of the Georgian Orthodox Church after Svetitskhoveli, which is located in Tbilisi, on the hill of St. Elijah.
The scale of the Cathedral of Tsminda Sameba is truly amazing. Its height exceeds 100 meters, while the height of the cross alone is 7.5 meters. The cathedral's area exceeds 5,000 square meters. Plus, the temple stands on a hill, so it is visible from anywhere in Tbilisi.
The temple houses several very valuable icons, one of which is the “Hope of Georgia". You can look at the sixth photo. The icon is very large and made of gold and precious stones in the ancient technique of minankari art.
This huge and bright temple reminds me more of a museum. There are a lot of tourists, everyone is taking pictures, there was a group with a guide. And this is understandable - the Holy Trinity is the main attraction of Tbilisi.
And for Georgians, Tsminda Sameba is not just a pro-Orthodox temple, but a true symbol of the nation and the spiritual strength of its people.
The cathedral stands on the hill of St. Elijah and is visible from many points of the capital. At night, the temple is illuminated by spotlights, which gives it a special solemnity.
The territory is well maintained, clean and tidy. Holy Trinity Cathedral is the best place I've ever been! It's easy to breathe and think here. Near the cathedral there is a park with recreation areas and a small pond.
Super!!!!! It takes your breath away, everything is very beautiful, large-scale and majestic! In general, Georgians are the most faithful Christians, since Georgians believe we have to learn this, I'm not saying that we are not like that, but when I saw one girl of 6-7 years old (a schoolgirl) walking along Rustaveli Avenue past the temple, she stopped, turned to the temple, crossed herself three times, bowed and went on. Or we are eating on a bus in Georgia past some church, and the passengers of the whole bus turned to the church and began to be baptized!
A very soulful place! The temple was built recently, but it looks very harmonious and causes a rush of positive emotions. There are many chapels. In them, ordinary parishioners conduct funeral rites, possibly others. It has two floors. Both are magnificent churches. The decoration is beautiful, but it does not overwhelm with luxury. There are sincerely many believers and they always visit. Even from afar, taxi drivers cross themselves when they see this building. The attitude is very respectful.
I visited it several times. They lived nearby
Yes, it is monumental, impressive in size...but he didn't touch me personally, he didn't touch any strings in my soul. I like the well-groomed cozy old temples more
A very grandiose majestic structure - I can't even believe that the cathedral is young enough, and was built in the 21st century!
Outside there is a large area with an observation deck and various exotic trees and shrubs
The visit to the Trinity Cathedral in Tbilisi was truly impressive. The vast space around the temple creates a sense of calm and tranquility, allowing guests to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding nature and the grandeur of this place. Amazing views from the top of the cathedral open to the whole city, capturing the eye with its beauty and power. The cathedral itself inspires respect with its majestic architecture and spiritual atmosphere, which makes it a truly special place to visit.
A very beautiful temple. Social and architectural dominant. It is clearly visible from all observation decks. Well-groomed territory. Delicious lemonade is nearby. A wonderful atmospheric place for both believers and atheist tourists. I recommend it to all guests of the city.
The most beautiful place. The new Cathedral of Georgia. It was built in 2004. There is a huge territory, inside the cathedral there is a main temple and a lower temple. They went everywhere, because the doors were open. The icons in the temple are mostly modern, but there are also early ones. Services are being held, bells are ringing. In the evening, the whole area is very beautifully illuminated. I recommend a visit. There is paid parking near the temple, the valet collects money. There is a cafe on the territory of the cathedral and nearby (it's a bit expensive there). Admission is free.
A very beautiful church of the Georgian Church. It is worth visiting not only the temple inside, but also to see the territory nearby - it looks very majestic and solemn!
An interesting place, especially from the point of view of architecture. Probably the only church that is not similar to the others in the vicinity. A more modern approach is clearly visible. It is surrounded by a small park with a gorgeous janitor. There are a lot of places to relax.
She lived in an apartment right over the fence. The temple is majestic and the view from it is magnificent. On Saturday, they sing polyphony, it was just wonderful.
The place is truly a priest and incredibly beautiful!) One main entrance is worth a lot;) And the understanding of what was built by all the strange just overwhelms and freezes the heart!)
A beautiful park. Wonderful views. Work is still going on inside, but this does not interfere with a pleasant impression. Good acoustics. Interesting rustic icons. It is worth a visit if you are in Tbilisi.
I haven't been there for 7 years and visited my beloved Tsminda Sameba again!
I recommend it to everyone who is in Tbilisi for the first time
The temple is visible from everywhere!
A magical place: a huge temple, well-groomed territory, even peacocks walk below.
The history of this place raises questions, because at first I thought that the temple was quite ancient.
I recommend you to visit because of the atmosphere, both inside and outside
A beautiful cathedral. A huge territory, well maintained, a great place for peace of mind. Such peace comes from him In the evening, the cathedral is illuminated by a backlight. I really liked it. I recommend you to visit.
An interesting temple, very unusual, 13 chapels, there is a unique icon "Hope of Georgia" made of enamel, there are also many ancient icons there. There is a large area around the Cathedral where you can walk!)
The territory impresses with its scale and beautifully thought-out design. On-site cleanliness support is at the highest level. The cathedral itself and its interior decorations are impressive at first glance!
I really liked it, the grandiose and beautiful singing, we lived opposite the temple, the sound of the bell is fascinating and admires, there is so much power and beauty in it, you need to hear it, be sure to visit it😍
It's beautiful, the territory is generally super, the park is gorgeous, there is a very good cafe at the entrance, democratic prices, khachapuri is very tasty, and Logidze water is just a gastronomic fieria 👍💖Now I'm looking for these tastes in Moscow
We were traveling from Turkey to Yekaterinburg. We were in Tbilisi for 2 days. The temple is very majestic, very high. I recommend the Orthodox to visit it.
A grandiose new-made religious building. This is probably the largest Orthodox church I've ever seen. Of course, you don't feel any intimacy or penetration with so many people, mostly tourists. But they hold services, all sorts of events too, I did not find
A beautiful building, the icons of the face are not much different, they differ from our standards. It's worth a look. Rosemary and olives also grow there
