A masterpiece of Gothic architecture!! It is better to explore the cathedral with a guide.
The south tower was also climbed, 343 steps up a steep spiral staircase. After schnitzels and strudels, a wonderful physique.load😅
Minus - crowds of tourists(((
St. Stephen's Cathedral!
The cathedral is just a peek, I looked at it from the outside for half an hour before entering. It's very beautiful. Inside, too, everything is beautiful and mysterious. All the frescoes are drawn to the smallest detail, the walls, columns, vaults
Went to the Catholic church on Sunday to listen to the organ and chants.
I have been powerfully cultivated, now I know what mia maximo kulpa is :)
Good luck to all
Congratulations to Muslims on Navruz
A beautiful cathedral, both outside and inside, the entrance is poorly organized, they enter and exit through the same doors, and since the entrance is free, there are long queues to enter and pandemonium inside
The spectacular Gothic church of St. Stephen's Cathedral in the heart of Vienna is majestic and imposing. One of its towers is one of the highest points in Vienna and has the second largest bell in Europe.
The cathedral is simply stunningly beautiful. I really liked it
A business card of Vienna. The beauty is mesmerizing! Inside, everything is well organized and understandable. Tourists and locals do not interfere with each other. The north tower can be reached by elevator, while the south tower can only be reached by stairs. We were with two children; therefore, we went up to the north) and gave about 14 euros. The view is amazing! There are fences on top, so it's not scary
An authentic cathedral of the 16th century, almost the original preserved, which is rare, for example St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague, completed in the 19th century or Milan in the 20th century
Nice place, clean bright walls, which is not expected.
The architecture is similar to the Cathedral of St. Witt and possibly Cologne Cathedral.
The interior is large-scale, impressive!
That's great! I got bored by comparing the Blue Mosque and Ivan the Great (about the same time of construction, the beginning of the 17th century. This cathedral restored my faith in European civilization. Divine
This is the symbol of the city, and perhaps the symbol of the country, but it is not in the Yandex photo. He's in my photo.
The cathedral is very impressive in its grandeur, both outside and inside.
It is a pity that there is no point from which it could be seen/photographed in its entirety, it is in the very center of the old city.
The center of attraction for tourists, there are crowds of them here.
(no matter how I arrive, some part of the cathedral is in the woods)
I recently visited Vienna for the first time. I've never been abroad before. I flew to my relatives. On the first day we went to Stephanplatz to see the cathedral. When I was climbing out of the subway, the first thing that caught my eye was the cathedral slowly appearing in all its majestic glory as the escalator ascended.... I was shocked by this Gothic beauty that I saw live! This was the strongest impression for me at that moment!
It is mandatory to visit. And be sure to go up to the observation deck of the tower. Being in Vienna and not visiting St. Stephen's Cathedral is like not being in Vienna.))
In my opinion, one of the most beautiful churches. Unfortunately, I did not get inside, but I will not forget the impression of the appearance. There are a lot of tourists taking selfies.
The landmark of Vienna is Stephansdom. In 2019, it was partially under repair, in the woods. I was struck by the placement of an advertising banner on the cathedral of a famous watch brand. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful Gothic building, from which you can start walking along the streets of Vienna, there are many cafes and shops nearby.
It was a miracle when I saw this cathedral for the first time at night - I stood up in a stupor for at least 15 minutes, I couldn't speak or move! THIS IS AN UNEARTHLY BEAUTY!
