Beautiful cathedral! A bright representative of the Vilna Baroque style! It's majestic inside, but cozy at the same time! An island of European architecture in a city with predominantly socialist buildings!
Our cathedral is a place of strength of the city.
The people who serve there are transient.
Some leave their mark, some don't.
The main thing is not to harm, not to distort the essence.
With best wishes to those who are not indifferent.
I have nothing against the church, but these older women who sell icons, chains and all that are very rude. I was watching a chain with a cross for my nephew and after my words that I would think about it and come back later, my grandmother snapped like that. It's amazing, you seem to be in a temple, like you're all such a believer and allows yourself to do this... You should be kinder!
I really love the Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel! Beautiful services, especially the evening ones, a pleasant atmosphere, the walls of the cathedral keep the story: joy, pain, grief, hope, healing!
When I come to the temple, I come, first of all, to God, and not looking for flaws and some kind of negative. The clergy of the cathedral are always polite and friendly.
Thank you...🙏
It's a very salty place. I recommend visiting the Cathedral of Archangel Michael to guests and residents of the city. The main thing is that we understand that everything is God's will! Remember that when we visit the temple, we come to God. And he loves and waits for everyone.
The temple itself is very beautiful, the architecture and interior decoration. I was at the service, not once, very heartfelt and beautiful!
But I want to write about what I often see in this temple. The rudeness and tactlessness of the clergy and people working in the temple are disappointing. Of course, these are individuals, but why link your life with service, with work in the temple, if you do not like people, if you can be rude and scold those who arrive in deep grief. I'm not talking about myself, but I understand that people come to church to find peace there, to ease their suffering, and they are almost beaten in the head.
Even as a child, when faced with some righteous grandmothers who know all the rules and canons, who can yell at you for coming to church in pants and not in a skirt, or for not bowing properly, or just for being young and not knowing anything, years Since I was 12, I had such a negative impression of Orthodox churches that for many years I did not attend churches and was far from Orthodoxy. There was a feeling that if you came to church, you would certainly get a kick, and no one would explain to you why. Over the years, I realized that Christianity itself carries light and goodness, and these are just people, they can be very unhappy and embittered, and of course not everyone is like that, but why?! Why exactly do such people concentrate in churches? I want to come to church and be filled with kindness and tranquility.
Expensive.
And the employees are omniscient! The temple is very stuffy. And the memorial hall (in the basement) is cramped, there are not enough seats for the elderly and disabled. And with a disabled person, getting to the temple is generally a quest. I tried to get in with a stroller-oh, I almost gave my soul to God. The disabled man had to get up from the wheelchair and climb on foot. They gave me a chair at the entrance when they asked, because there was nowhere to even sit down while I was buying candles and writing a note.
