We were here on a guided tour on 07/03/2024.
Of course I liked it, it was large-scale, atmospheric, colorful, clean, as in general and throughout Phuket. Construction work is still underway there, but this does not affect the impressions in any way. The view from the observation deck is gorgeous, it is not inferior to other observation decks (there were four more). Definitely worth a visit, the place is iconic, the Big Buddha was erected after the 2004 tsunami.

We went on a sightseeing tour to the observation deck at the Big Buddha. 10 minutes from the main road by small bus uphill. Large parking lots. Sidewalks for visitors. Simple pointers. In July 2024, the stairs were completed, the construction process itself shifted to the temple. It became free. We were in the afternoon and in clear weather - from all sites there are excellent views of the island, the bays and islands. Only one monkey came running, but it was quickly driven away. We had 30 minutes to inspect, but it would have been better to stay there longer. There is a souvenir shop. A monk can, for a small reward, tie you a little faith to fulfill an immaterial wish.
Very clean, neat. There are a lot of tourists, but there is enough space for everyone to walk and take photos.

Admission is free, but for girls you need to buy a cape for your legs and shoulders if you don't have anything of your own. It's a bit expensive if you convert to rubles, so think about it carefully.
