The three of us had a rest (my husband and I and my mother) from 18.01.2025 to 28.01.2025. The hotel is very warm, the staff is helpful. It is a very beautiful bay and has its own coral with lots of fish. What I would like to note separately is that in the sea, if you are tired of swimming in a hydra and a mask, getting acquainted with corals and their inhabitants (well, it happens:-))) ) so you can safely walk along the sandy bottom barefoot and just swim in the sea for your pleasure! The beach at the hotel is gorgeous! There are enough sun beds for everyone. The territory of the hotel is gorgeous, there is a place to walk, relax, and unwind. There is a swimming pool with heated water in winter (there is actually not one of them, just one heated one). The numbers are tired, yes... But at the same time, if you don't dwell on it, then everything is quite normal! (After all, we didn't come to lie in the room :-)))) In addition, all the disadvantages, such as the lack of toilet brushes (someone wrote about it here), a non-working safe or a leak in the bathroom, are solved very easily. We just need to go to the reception and arrange everything there (my husband and I are half-Russian, half-German, half-English :-))))), but we explained what we lack for complete happiness... And, lo and behold! We had all the problems fixed within half an hour or an hour.:-) And at no extra charge, mind you!) Everything is fine in the dining room too! Maybe there's a little lack of variety... But this is for those who are used to the "5" and "4+" hotels. There are not enough drinks, that's right! And so, the Siva Golden Bay Makadi Hotel can provide you with a wonderful vacation. And for quite reasonable money :-)

We stayed at the hotel from 26.01 to 02.02, everything is super- the hotel territory is very beautiful, a gorgeous beach with a sandy entrance, and reefs with fish around the edges. Very friendly staff. The food is very diverse - seafood, chicken, beef, fruits, vegetables. The only thing is that the rooms are outdated, but they are being actively repaired. Initially, they didn't give us a very good room, but we immediately asked to change and they gave us a nice room 419 on the 4th floor, cleaning and changing towels was every day, the mattress is very comfortable. The room has a view of the beach and the bay, every morning we watched a beautiful sunrise lying in bed)

Gorgeous place, beautiful bay. Clean water and a nice coral reef. The best impressions about the hotel itself. The restaurants surprised us with their variety and quality. The staff is friendly. All problems were solved quickly. Room cleaning every day. The room itself wasn't very new, but it was huge with a large balcony and a view of the sea. The territory is large, well maintained and very beautiful. There are many steps when descending to the sea. If it's hard, you can get there by car. Overall, it was the best vacation in Egypt.

The rest was great, Egypt is very cool, the hotel is super, the food is delicious, three restaurants, everything is good, the general restaurant is also good!!! beautiful, lots of space, beautiful bay, probably one such in Egypt, (Hurghada), friends vacationed at 5 star, not far from us. They didn't get in there. When we saw our bay, we were shocked by the beauty, the sea is clean, beautiful, the bag is cool, I go in chic, 2 bars on the shore, everything is there, there are a lot of places! There are many beautiful fish and corals. Before that, we were in Turkey from 05/13.24 - 05/22.24, a 5-star hotel. But Egypt is something cool. In a word, take it, be satisfied!

The hotel is gorgeous! The main building, the restaurant, the bars are very beautiful. The awesome interior of the hotel itself, gorgeous pools. The bay is just fantastic. The service is excellent. At the same time, the hotel is very ambiguous)) The trick of the reception is to initially settle guests in the most unsuccessful rooms. Almost all the guests change the room 2-3 times, we did not. Food is also a separate topic. Very tasty lunches at restaurants and bars on the beach. There's a la carte service, but it's not a la carte. There is no main restaurant, that's the main disadvantage of the hotel. And the wine is diluted with water .. It's like water.
But the bay!! Views! It's just amazing.

I went on vacation to this hotel in the period from November 18 to November 25, 2024 and left very bad impressions.
Upon arrival, we are greeted by a beautiful hall with an excellent view of the sea... and that's where all the advantages of this hotel ended.
Upon check-in, they gave room 227, all doors open and close with a key, which is very difficult to open, the room was dirty, the floors were not washed there for a very long time and hardly ever washed, the doors to the bathroom room did not open without applied force, the handle is broken, if you lock the doors there is a possibility that from You're not coming out of the bathroom. A broken cabinet, all surfaces in a thick layer of dust. The window is a separate story 🙈 the frame is all dirty from the adhesive tape that was once glued (I assume), the glasses are dirty, everything is covered in fingerprints and God knows what, and most importantly, part of the gasket between the glass and the frame was missing. Since the hotel is located on a mountain, there are strong winds, especially during the period when there were. The wind from this gap howled so that it was very difficult to stay in the room + a strong draft, the temperature at night on some days dropped to 11 degrees, it would be very cold in the room.
The first time I got into such a situation, I dealt with the staff for 2 hours and on my part it was enough to raise my voice, since at first the staff did not understand what my complaint was about the room. Since further proceedings moved to the reception and new tourists arrived, I was given a choice to choose a room. As a result, all the rooms presented were dirty, but at least with the least problems such as broken handles, locks and problems with windows. She requested cleaning in front of me, since they initially wiped the middle of the room in one place. 2 hours were spent on everything about everything.
The rooms are being renovated, but when the work is done, the beds are not cleaned in the rooms and I had the impression that they were not changed when the work was completed. We saw this, because the rooms do not close when something is being done there, and the work was done dusty.
Wi-Fi is free only in the hotel lobby, a week of unlimited intern in the room and by the sea costs 30€. I also have big questions about this.
The first lunch and subsequent meals caused a strong negative, since the dishes are all plastic, once during all this time they took out ordinary plates) plates that have told everything for several decades (according to my feelings). All the dishes are washed terribly, so I took the time to take a plate to choose a clean one. There is very little food and a meager assortment, if you do not have time to come to the discovery of figs that you will take from meat.
The same story is about the number of seats, if you don't come right to the opening, you won't find any seats.
On day 3, I started having severe stomatitis, and then for the first time in many years, herpes ... it was a shock in shock.
Coffee from a coffee machine only in one restaurant at the reception, in other places only instant coffee 3in1 or stirred of unknown origin) I tried on the beach, heartburn was almost immediately. There are no juices, only 2 flavors according to the "yupi" type), I also encountered this for the first time. There is a store on the territory where juice of 1 liter or 1.5 liters of Cola cost $ 4 each. And we went all inclusive, and as a result we bought drinks)
There are few sun beds on the beach, even though it was already the end of the season, but to come to the beach after breakfast and lie down on a sunbed was a quest for 10 minutes or more, since people got up at 5 in the morning!!! 🤣 to take seats. And it is also impossible to just come to lie on a sunbed, since they are all without mattresses, you need to first find a sunbed, and then run to look for an employee to bring a mattress) well, it also took at least 10 minutes.
The guide, directly at the hotel, does not care about you, he will not help solve any problems, and if you do not buy a tour from him yet, he ends the conversation very quickly.
The only ones who asked for feedback and asked for all photos and video confirmation were the employee who was taking them to the airport (there was an individual transfer in both directions). An employee of the biblio globus.
I have been visiting this country for many years and for the first time I got to such a hotel, we always go to one hotel (a chain of hotels in Makadi) and realized that we need to continue to go only there.
I do not recommend this hotel, especially if you plan to go there with children, there are no conditions at all. Also for the elderly, as there are a lot of steps everywhere)

We had a rest from 4.09.24 for a week . A great hotel with a gorgeous sea and its own awesome reef. You don't even have to go on additional excursions to snorkel , you can do it right at the hotel. I really liked it. We will definitely come back here again . I highly recommend it.

We bought it on the aggregator as 5*, the voucher said about 4*, but in fact it turned out to be only 3*. The main significant advantage of the hotel is the incredibly picturesque bay with sand and coral reef. We had a rest in the middle of February 2025 - we swam every day, there was little wind due to the location. There is a small main pool and 2 more small ones.
The rooms are old, with poor plumbing, and there wasn't even a curtain and a bathroom brush at check-in, not to mention a bathrobe and slippers. There is no shampoo in reusable bottles, dental kit, balm, etc. There is no kettle, tea and coffee, only for a fee. In general, all this is not critical, you can live) They clean up for three: they move things for some reason and add up the figures (cute), but only if you leave a tip. At the same time, the floor and plumbing will remain dirty.:(Towels and bed linen are changed regularly.
The food is meager: there are very few vegetables and fruits, alcohol is simply impossible to drink. In general, we were not hungry, we can always choose something. There are three a la carte restaurants, they have unlimited access, but by appointment. Food + is like in a main restaurant, but there are delicious dishes.
On the second attempt, we were accommodated in a room in a separate building. Everything was fine until the neighbors moved in. Audibility is as if there are no walls at all. If you want privacy, don't agree. Another advantage of the hotel is that all rooms have sea views.
In summary, it is worth going if you are ready to beg for normal conditions, and in general, the main thing for you is the sea. The territory and architecture of the hotel are cool, I really hope that they will update the room stock. Now it's better for comfort lovers to choose 5* nearby.

The coffee is excellent at bars, and it differs from bar to bar, where the snacks at the reception are the most delicious and by the pool, at breakfast it is not so of course, but not bad. Beer is poured from bottles, delicious, strong alco - gin and rum are good, the rest is for an amateur, but the Europeans, who are full there, drink everything that burns))) The main pool is good, large, there is always relaxing music when there is no animation. Animation is a plus for someone, a minus for someone - it's not much, it's unobtrusive. There is aquajim on the beach and in the bass, stretching, beer pong, but not throughout the day, so if you are fans of actively dancing zumba from morning to night, then you will pass by) For me, this is a big plus, I don't like animation activities. In principle, the hotel gives you the opportunity to relax perfectly without going beyond it - and there is nowhere, and you don't want to, except for different excursions. The staff is friendly, the rooms are ruined, but on vacation I only sleep in the room at night and change from bathing to evening, so it basically doesn't matter. The territory is still small at the hotel (in a year it will be 2 times more according to the staff and the pace of construction, which is quiet and does not interfere) but well-groomed and beautiful, pleasant to walk. I recommend it!

The key advantage of this hotel is its own lagoon, and the high shore protects the beach from strong winds, which is extremely useful in the winter months. There are corals on the sides of the lagoon, and the entrance to the sea is a cave. The hotel has passed to another owner and is currently undergoing active renovation. What is done looks very nice, there are many bars on the territory, there is a small water park, which is turned on according to the schedule. I can only say one thing here. Sea. There is nothing good in this department anymore. It's my first time in Egypt, I had an idea where I was going, but I didn't expect this in any way. Tips, what they are, what they are not, do not solve anything. Everyone is waiting for them, even just like that. Upon check-in, the room was terribly dirty, there was hair on the pillow. There was sand in the closet, the toilet lid was dirty... I went with antiseptic and wet wipes, I scrubbed everything, because I was with a small child. She begged for a bed for a very long time, we paid extra for it separately and categorically did not want to bring it to us. There were open shampoos and soap in the bathroom, we did not touch them, we did not change or add anything, toilet paper was also left over, there was no brush, we had to ask, they gave us terribly dirty.. a separate story with towels, one day you can somehow count them for two, another day they seemed to be brought for 10 people… There are not enough places and appliances in the restaurant for everyone, you have to wait, search, and so on. You won't stay hungry for food, but if you squint, you can ignore the dirty dishes ... but when you see the sea, you can close your eyes to everything, just went to the sea at 7 a.m. and went to the room to wash at 5 p.m., had lunch at the beach bar, breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. Then we sat in the bar. Alcohol is highly diluted, juices are just dyes.

everything turned out to be quite good. I understand what dissatisfied people are writing about. Of course, the bar for Russians is quite high. Unfortunately, the level of service in all countries is falling. And Egypt is no exception. We are also experienced tourists and are moderately moody. We don't drive below 4.
But we were satisfied. Here is the price-quality ratio. For an adequate price, you get a gorgeous sea, a clean beach, normal rooms, daily cleaning, friendly staff. As for the food, it's quite tasty and varied. It was really everything that we usually eat in any hotel. In sufficient quantity. There was no queue of tourists .There are many fruits: guava, melon, oranges, dates, strawberries, pomegranates. The pastries are delicious, although we don't really like sweets, but we ate here. There's a delicious pizza outside. There is always good coffee in the bar. There was animation.
Regarding the thefts: at the end of the rest, we handed in the room and boarded the bus, the staff came running after us because we forgot a small valuable thing in the room. But they might not have brought it, they lost it, they left, and it was their own fault.
I consider the janitor and the receptionist to be very honest. And thank them very much.
Of course, it's up to you, but for the average tourist, I recommend it.

this hotel is very far from 4*, the pros and cons are in order:
1)Rooms
Of the advantages:
- Beautiful view from the room (if on the sea)
Of the cons:
- Stable power outage from 10 to 40 minutes several times a day
- Plumbing is all leaking and the bathroom is constantly wet
- There was no hot water at check-in
- The floor has never been cleaned, you just walk in the mud
- The repair is quite old, everything is already shabby, there are no handles on the cabinets
- There was a lizard waiting in the room and the staff couldn't think of anything better than to kill it there
2) Kitchen
Of the advantages:
- Delicious pizza
- Sometimes a delicious chicken kebab
Of the cons:
- The food is mostly cold
- Some of the meat dishes are given 2-3 pieces, no more and no choice
- Apples, oranges, dates and banana from fruits((
- The choice is very small and everything is the same every day, the dishes are local and not very edible (Salads are better not to try at all)
- Alcohol and juices are diluted, you won't get any drinks during meals
- A la Carte does not differ in quality either, the same food is only brought by its waiter
3) Animation
There are no advantages at all, the animation is boring
-In the afternoon, dancing by the pool in which the animators themselves get confused, playing ball and aqua aerobics in the sea
-In the evening, half an hour of dancing and improvisation from the animators, it never starts on time, but it always ends according to plan, or even earlier and at 22:00 there is no entertainment anymore
4) The sea

They were in early August 2024. The hotel is very old by the numbers (someone writes "tired", really worse) there you need to change the plumbing, curtains, pillows, mattresses somewhere (we changed 2 rooms),air conditioners like tractors, it's hot without them, it's noisy with them, it's not clear why it's more expensive in the bungalow - they're further from the reception, they're even older inside, the staff is friendly, they try to go to a meeting, but they don't go above their heads to jump is to offer the best from the arsenal ...at least the view, there is a terrible building to the left of the main one: do not agree to it, there are terrible beds (maybe someone will like spartanism), a view to nowhere and continue to go both to the sea and to the main building. The view is good starting from the 2nd floor of the main building and above. Everything behind the rooms is more worthy: a hall, a bar, the territory is not green, but perhaps this is also a plus: less watering = less humidity, it is easier to breathe in dry air even in heat than in humid in less hot weather. I had enough food, the child was fine too, someone complained of indigestion, bubbling and ...I had signs at the end, still someone else's kitchen) a little bit of the house has already appeared, two days have passed. Fruits are regretted here: grapes are torn off, apples are cut, dates are eaten, melon was tasteless..watermelon once, there was no mango(((( they say it's expensive.. juice of jupi, did not drink, coffee was brewed and drunk in the bar, tea was not drunk, everything was in bags, not Turkish)) although they could have made it brewed: both more profitable and tastier.
Now about the most pleasant thing: this is the SEA, CORALS AND FISH IN THE BEST BAY OF MAKADI! Let the hotel ...and the place is the most gorgeous of all: everything is accessible, you don't need any bathyscaphe and eyeliner, everything is here! The sand comes in, fish and corals on the right and left, they say it's still good in winter - there is no wind, because it is closed by a rocky shore.
By extension: Sim cards are better for the Internet! This is 2 times cheaper than a semi-working paid Internet, although for some reason I did not have a connection in the room ((they jam the Internet so that they take it for a week for 25 euros, supposedly free at the reception - it never worked. The shops inside are normal for the minimum necessary, of course it is more expensive than on WB or ozone to buy equipment for the sea. There is only a desert beyond the territory. I didn't go to the hammam..on the first day, the guides took somewhere, on average, too many people, just like in the old days. You can arrange with the guide to go to the store: we bought sweets and mangoes.

A cozy little guest house. A beautiful bay. Almost no wind (below). The food is normal. You won't starve to death. Cleanly. Only there is a good minus. THERE IS NO WI-FI. This is the first time I am writing a review of a hotel. And precisely because everything worked out and our vacation was a success! We had a rest in February 2024.Both the food and the room stock, everything was fine. Well, the sea, the stunning views are just a fairy tale! The animation is wonderful! I would like to express my gratitude for the fact that the guys gave their best, did not let anyone get bored, neither children nor adults. The presenter charmed everyone!))I am a very harmful vacationer))) But everything worked out for me here!))) Many thanks to the staff! Namely, Bill (the restaurant by the beach), Yusuf, who is 16 years old, from the reception. The guys are so positive that it was passed on to us and had a wonderful rest.

•Staff and cleaning
The staff is nice, friendly, helps with everything you need. The rooms are cleaned every day, they make different figures out of towels, etc.
•Meals
The food is wonderful, the fish is very tasty every day at dinner, the desserts are interesting. There's a guy on the street who makes great pizza, pita, etc. At dinner, they cut sweet melon on the street. The sweet bar near the reception is open until 00:00, there is a cozy atmosphere in the evening. Waffles are made near the pool in the bar (but they are very bland, even if you add chocolate paste or jam) But I liked the chocolate ice cream!!
• Pools and the sea
I liked the coast, because on the right there is a cool reef with a wide variety of fish that swim in flocks. If you want to look at them, it is better to buy a mask with a tube for the whole face in advance (masks are also sold at the hotel, but they cost 15-20 $).The pools are warm, in March they were slightly warmer than the sea.

I come back here 4 times.
