The hotel is good. Great clean beach. Clear Blue ocean water.
Of the cons, there is no variety of food, the menu is quite meager. They rarely clean the room (every 2 days) and rarely change the bed (once in 11 days).
The staff is not bad.
If you set up food and cleaning in the rooms, it will be absolutely fine.
Good Animation in the evening. Excellent Convenient location of the hotel.

Good afternoon! We had a rest in October 2024 . Briefly about the pros: the ocean and the beach are very beautiful, the view from the window for $ 50 you can buy the ocean.
Upon arrival, our guide Yulia Sabitova met us and the next morning held a meeting with all the tourists who arrived in the evening. She said that excursions can only be bought from her and only now, like fools we believed her and bought 4 excursions, one of which we extremely disliked, and took for two at $ 115 each, called Communication with dolphins. As a result, we talked with dolphins for two minutes, we spent the rest of the day on a dirty island where it is impossible to even swim (Do not believe the guide of this hotel, because excursions can be bought any day at the hotel itself, unfortunately we fell for fairy tales and wasted money and ruined our son's birthday.
Overall, it is a good hotel , but it clearly does not reach 4 stars. I write as it is: change of towels 1 time in 10 days, cockroaches in the room and in the dining room can not be forgotten. The food is sometimes sour.
I liked Cuba very much, but of course we will not come to this hotel anymore.

We visited this hotel and Cuba for the first time in late February and early March 2024. Yes, the food is unusual, because cooking with completely different oils than Russian ones, the smells are also strange, but we were ready for this and quickly got used to it. Our tour operator has prepared us well. In 12 days, none of the three of us got poisoned, and the guys we met felt good too. By the way, we didn't drink rum, some people think that's the point, we only drank saccharomycetes, we do this on any trip. The room was clean, everything was working. The view from the window is a delight. The beach is great for staying with a child, another family was in Cuba for the third time and they also said that this hotel has the best beach. By the way, you also have a chance to meet pelicans, they fly to the fisherman and beg for fish. We're thrilled. There aren't many people, and the food isn't what everyone is used to, but if your goal is to fly specifically for the atmosphere, the ocean, and a small number of tourists, then you're definitely here. Our goal was to rest, not to overeat on the shevedsky table. The only thing missing were some snacks, like nuts and crackers. By the way, you could have made the crackers yourself, because the rolls and bread are delicious and I don't think they were eaten, some of them remained, well, dry them and give them to the people behind the bar, for example, I hear a lot from people that they would never fly to Cuba again and they didn't like it, but we are thrilled and I would have flown, even taking into account this infinitely long flight! I'm writing now and my heart aches, I want to go back. As much as they can provide a service, they do. The territory is clean, they are being cleaned, and you can also buy coconuts from the gardeners for 1 piece-1 $, but be careful, tell them in Spanish that you need fresh, and not the one that has been in the container all day or lifted from the ground. By the way, we decided that next time we will live in a bungalow. There are fewer people at meals, they have their own restaurant, plus it's faster to get to your room. Locals consider a bungalow to be much better than in a large hotel, but I don't know, I would certainly try to stay in a bungalow.

The ocean is beautiful, it's love ❤️ we were in the middle of December, we were unlucky with the weather , out of 10 days, we only swam for 2 days , the rest was a storm and wind, but the evening shows and rum did their job. The food is very much a stretch for three, take it with you to eat, and of course there are cockroaches everywhere. otherwise, everything is acceptable, the people are local and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I even feel sorry for them a little, they don't see anything but the ocean, so take gifts, at least from the fix.

We were going to starve, but there was food😁 chicken and pork, fried every day, pasta and rice. There were eggs every day. The cabbage appeared on the 5th day, they were given two days, and that was all from vegetables. There were still mutant cucumbers. If nutrition and fiber are important, it will be difficult here. There was porridge every day, but it was burnt all the time, and the dishes probably already needed to be changed, so the cook doesn't care if no one eats it. Discarded products that are already missing in the country.
I am a travel agent, before that I sent my tourists and everything was more or less. But when we arrived, they said it was low season and everything would change by November. I would like to believe. No Cola, no fanta at all. I went to see hotels of another chain, some had cola and fanta, Sirenis had only jupi, rum was a river, but there was nothing to wash it down with. I realized for myself that I would send someone to this hotel who is not picky about food, I can not without broths and herbs. Fruits- guava was delicious, that's all.
Staff: The nicest person is the gardener. I remember him with warmth.
Great coach on the beach, positive, with humor, we always worked out.

You can't behave like that with tourists. Greed and pride have not led anyone to good things yet. I will dissuade my tourists from meeting her.

The center can be reached by bus in 15 minutes, $ 5 in both directions. Mir cards are accepted on the bus. And please change the deck chairs on the beach, they are scary to look at! Just wash it off, the view will be different. There was a show every day, and there was karaoke too.

Nice hotel, guys, inexpensive and good! But its most important advantage is a huge beach belonging to the hotel and it consists of two parts - the first right in front of the hotel (stretches about 150 m and the second part over the cliff, behind the bungalow!,). If you compare with other hotels, for example, located around the villa Dupont, then there are simply the best beaches!!! We noticed and tested them at the end of 2022, and repeated them in November 2023.
The food is normal (dade is very good for Cuba, it must be understood, this is not Turkey)! But the ocean itself is beautiful and the magnificent beaches are at your feet!!! The staff is fastidious and kind!

There is also a swimming pool on the territory, but that's not why we came here. In the evening, entertainment programs are not for long. Take mosquito fumigators with you and leave them overnight. July 2024. I had a 100% rest! The hotel justifies its four stars. After paying $50 extra, I checked into a room with an ocean view. The plumbing is in good working order, the supply of hot and cold water is uninterrupted; detergents- soap, shampoo, shower gel - are always available. Room cleaning and towel change daily; excellent sleeping place. I received a beach towel without any problems, immediately on the day of arrival.
The staff is friendly, helpful, ready to provide service and assistance. (For example, my topic was blown away by the wind on the roof of the third floor, I asked for help at the reception, and this problem was promptly solved). As a token of gratitude, she presented a chocolate
bar "Alyonka".
No complaints about nutrition. Everything is fresh. The assortment is very diverse. Rich breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Fresh juices for breakfast of at least three types, lots of fruits - papaya, guava, pineapples, mango, watermelon, mini bananas; unlimited water, delicious coffee, delicious (always fresh) bread, delicious cheeses. At lunch and dinner, there is always freshly cooked meat: either pork or beef; very tasty stewed chicken cooked with spices. Seafood is served daily in different versions. Drinks are served for lunch and dinner: sangria, dry white, red, rose wines, beer is very good.
Rum "flows like a river" around the clock. There are no problems with the dishes, the waiters are efficient, they try to serve quickly. There is no fuss.
Before dinner, there is always a musical "minute" in the conference room: instrumental music (saxophone, piano) or vocal jazz is played.
Every day at 21:30 there is entertainment animation in the amphitheater, mainly a colorful Latin dance show.
I was impressed by the Michael Jackson show.
And finally, what conquers the hearts of vacationers and why they fly to Cuba is the charming Atlantic Ocean with its gentle, warm, emerald, clear as a tear, water!!! He has no equal! (Turkey and other Asian countries where I visited were left far behind).....
And magnificent sandy beaches!!! You can swim with pleasure endlessly!!!
She calmed her nerves with long sea baths, treated joints, skin and urinary system. If desired, a boat trip on a pedal or sailing catamaran. There are enough sun beds for everyone, there are no crowds either in the water or on land.
Cuba is a fabulous paradise, it's a lot of sun, a lot of light, a lot of positivity! Cuba is my love!!! The rest turned out great! I will definitely come back!
Conclusions: from the pros, almost everything is evaluated by the pros; the ocean is incomparable, it has an infinite number of advantages!!!
Service: in general, the norm for Cuba, but the restaurant is on the minus side: sometimes cockroaches run around and, of course, it must be fought. Therefore, I give the hotel four stars.

Sirenis Tropical Varadero. September 2023. A hotel in Cuba is always a lottery. Maybe you'll be lucky and everything will be fine, or maybe not. I was lucky. A room with an ocean view (for an additional fee of 50 bucks), but it was worth it! The condition of the room turned out to be quite decent, the furniture is in good condition. The girls at the reception are friendly, polite and tried to quickly resolve any issues that arose. The cheerful bartending girls at the Cohiba bar and the beach bar are always positive and did not spare rum in cocktails and thermo mugs. The territory is well maintained, and a gardener can "dissect" a coconut for a dollar and the delicious coconut juice can be drunk directly from a natural container. And then at the bar you can top up with local fanta and rum or daiquiri. As for nutrition, everything seems quite normal to me, given that Cuba is still under sanctions and shortages are common. The food is delicious. I liked the local caldosa soup and ice cream. The buffet is quite varied, to my subjective taste. I was satisfied. And if I find myself in Cuba again, I may well consider this hotel again. I liked it there.

The water in the hotel is good, there are no foreign odors. A bottle of drinking water was left in the room every day. You have to adapt to the kitchen in the restaurant. 1. The territory of the hotel is huge. The ocean is magical. Crabs and lizards can be seen on the territory.
2. The cleaning was not very high quality. Dust is not wiped, especially in hard-to-reach places, the floor was not always washed. Once the cleaner forgot some kind of T-shirt, it is clear that it is already being used as a wash cloth. I left it right on our clean clothes, the towels were changed only 1 time in two weeks. And that, I think, is due to fraud😂 The cleaner tried to ingratiate herself with us from the first day, found problems for us and helped us solve them) But we were left with a satisfied impression of communication, her name was Marusya)
They advised the travel agency to bring them their unnecessary things. We brought things in good condition, even with some tags. They left it instead of a tip. She was satisfied, as we understood, dressed her family)
3. Nutrition. I will not call myself fastidious about food. But I didn't like the food at all. I understand that this is Cuba. But in my opinion, it's completely tasteless, they don't know how to cook. Rice and pasta are very overcooked. The choice is small. There is a queue for fish and meat. You will have to fight for mango😃 They bring a small plate every 30 minutes and immediately a couple of people sweep it to zero. Other fruits include guava, papaya, bananas, watermelon. Sometimes fruits with a pronounced fermented taste, they are all warm, they are not stored in the refrigerator.
But very tasty ice cream!
A huge and unacceptable disadvantage of the dining room is cockroaches. On the floor, on the tables, everywhere.
Saved the snack bar. It was more pleasant to eat there. Hot dogs, sandwiches, pizza, French fries. It was quite edible, but for more than 10 days to eat fast food, well, that) everything was not always available
The working hours are 10.00-18.30. But in the morning before 11.00

4. The ocean was very warm, even hot. It's very beautiful. Fish swam, they can bite their feet. After our departure, we saw in the hotel chat that a shark was allegedly caught in neighboring hotels, and a barracuda bit someone's leg in another one. I don't know if it's true or not.
Some feed the fish with bread, which is actually unacceptable.
5. They paid an additional $ 50 upon check-in for their so-called bungalow with an ocean view. In fact, two-storey houses with rooms, but with ocean views. The room was 6211, and the view was really beautiful. Everything in the room is quite old. But the air conditioner and refrigerator are working. In the shower, the water does not go well, it is not cleaned. Something was constantly leaking.
There are 2 cans of beer and 1 local Coke in the mini bar upon check-in. Water was brought every day

They occupied it for a long time. 5-6 families arrived, and we checked in about 1.5 hours later.
6. Excursions were taken from Pegasus, approximately 10 thousand rubles each for one person.
We went to Cayo Blanco + dolphinarium. We were promised a dolphinarium in a natural environment, but it didn't look like a natural environment at all. We spent 7 minutes in the dolphinarium!! The workers were constantly in a hurry, we pass, we pass, we do not stare

Then the island itself. The ocean is much more beautiful in our hotel. The island is dirty, there were no promised palm trees. They let you stay there for 2 hours with lunch and all this during the heat rush hour. Burned in short) We swam there, otherwise it would have been impossible to survive in this heat. But it was a dubious entertainment, with ships parked nearby. The water is muddy even a little bit
We went to Havana for tobacco + rum. In general, I really liked the tour, and Havana itself, too.

Nice hotel. Beautiful beach. The territory is large. The staff is responsive and sociable, but it is necessary to warm up (chocolates, dollars or little things). Good bar and food. Well, it's time to write a review for you about our stay at the Sirenis Hotel. I must say right away that all the negative reviews are unfortunately the bitter truth!I'll start with checking in.... I will not write about the flight, although everything went according to schedule. Nord Dvin there 13.5 and back 12.5 hours. In Sheremetyevo, almost everyone was forced to put their hand luggage in a frame, but in Cuba they don't care how many kg you have in your hand luggage! We arrived at 18:50, arrived at the hotel at 21:00. Check-in took 3 hours, i.e. we got to the room at 23:00! I'll tell you right away, check in only on the upper floors with an additional payment of $ 50! We met the guys who moved into the first floor without extra charges.... Ants, cockroaches, mosquitoes, a terrible smell of mold, humidity! Nothing dries in the room! Our room on the fifth floor was 5312... the room was a tubby one.... The smell of mold was also present... but then you get used to it, and you smell it already!!! There were no cockroaches, ants, and mosquitoes. We brought a fumigator and sprays with us! The fumigator was never turned off from the socket at all... I even woke up at night and sprayed myself with more spray, mosquitoes bit me! We had 5 towels in the room for $50, and our friends on the 1st floor had only 2! The bed linen and towels are washed, but everything is stained! There are no duvet covers or sheets for blankets, i.e. you cover yourself with a dirty blanket! We wrote notes to the cleaning lady in Spanish, what we needed, and she did everything! True, they left gifts for her on the bed every day ... but even though she washed the floors and threw out the garbage and replenished the water, she brought water to the room only on the second day! There was no water at check-in! The elevator in the hotel was broken one day, could not be repaired and we walked to the fifth floor all day! Now about the food!!! I was in Cuba for the second time, so I was on my way and was already ready for such a meal, judging by the hotel I was in on Cayo Coco, the hotel was called Playa Paraiso....but... it turns out that everything was just excellent in terms of food, compared to Sirenis! There are queues at breakfasts.... You stand in line for 40 minutes for an omelet and scrambled eggs! Cheese, sausages, bacon are sorted out instantly ... they are not in a hurry to replenish ... i.e. you have to stand and wait for food to be brought! People are all hungry…There is practically no choice of food... the meat is a sole that you will not chew! Salads that are mixed up do not take them at all, they are all sour, how can you put it to people in general! I only had breakfast in this canteen, had lunch on the beach, didn't go to dinner at all! When I arrived in Moscow, I ate like crazy for two days! There is a bar on the beach where you can have a snack... burgers are being prepared.. but of course this is one name... a bun with cheese or tuna! There are separate fillings in the burger... beets, carrots, cabbage, green tomatoes, huge fodder cucumbers, green peppers! Forget about ketchup and mayonnaise at all, they don't know what it is! People brought it with them! They only have mustard and olive oil. I used these vegetables to make a salad for myself and ate this bun. It was my lunch for 10 days! Sometimes they also fried a piglet on the beach ... but ... there wasn't enough of it for everyone ... and the queue again stood in the heat for 30 minutes again! Don't waste your time on Ala Carte restaurants... mosquitoes and mosquitoes will have dinner with you, but not you! The food is worse than in the canteen! In short, you will not stay completely hungry to eat what you find! You won't starve to death! But finding food for yourself is a quest! Fruits are only pineapples and papaya! And they have products, they just don't know how to cook them! As for alcohol, all decent (beer, rum, white and pink wine, tequila) Cola was constantly running out and wine. Mojito cocktail is made without lime and lemon.. They just don't have them! If you want to spoil your stomach, drink a mojito! They pour citric acid with sugar into the place of lime, which does not even dissolve in a glass! Moreover, I thought that for $ 5 the Mojito that I ordered at a restaurant in Varadero would be at least with lime ... but No.... The same thing!!! Only for money. The guys in the bars are doing a great job trying to please everyone.. be sure to bring thermal mugs with you! The ocean is gorgeous, the hotel grounds are also beautiful, the pool seems clean! The sun beds are all dead, sagging, dirty! It is not comfortable to lie on them. Beach towels were received immediately, there was enough for everyone! But you'd better take yours! The animation is so-so ... you can watch the water show and the Michael Jackson show just fire, be sure to go! Retro cars taxis to Varadero cost from $15 to $20 One way, it takes 10 minutes to drive! Lobster at Varadero restaurant costs $ 30. Try it on Varadero if you eat cocktails in Pineapple pinot colada for $ 5! They were at the end of March 2024. Check-in for more than 2 hours- we were brought by a bus, about 20 people, 2 receptionists at the reception, while each of the guests ran and looked at the room, the rest of the crowd was waiting for him.

The rooms are dirty, as everywhere in Cuba, and there are spiders in the corners in the door jambs. There was soap in the room. The towel has not been changed in 14 days . We didn't get a beach towel for 14 days - they were running out, so take the thin ones with you, throw them on the sunbed.
the breakfasts are not delicious- there were pancakes a couple of times, there was a queue for scrambled eggs for 15 minutes. Lunches and dinners are quite nice.
Rum is poured at the hotel bar from 7 a.m., so by 10 a.m. some vacationers look pretty drunk.
There are no questions about the hotel, I would easily recommend it.
But as we were told, it's the same everywhere in Cuba. They knew, and they didn't find fault with it. I want to find fault- it's easy to do in Cuba, there are a lot of "questions" here

We stayed at this hotel in January 2024.However, here is the moment it was called: Serenis Tropical Varadero.This is my second time in Cuba, and when I was told that there were supply problems there, I could not have imagined that the problem was so serious! Most of all, the hotel guide was infuriated, I don't even know her name, at first they said that Anastasia, introduced herself as Anna at the meeting, and the phone in the brochure under the name Ekaterina, as always, excursions are pushed through, she is not interested in other questions, but this is always the case, but she was infuriated that the price for excursions in euros, so she recalculated in dollars, although the Cubans themselves take them at the same rate! There's trouble with the cook at the hotel, too, figs with his supply, but you have to be able to ruin the food like that! Even pasta and rice! Cocktails at the bar are also not tasty, they came up with themselves and asked us what to mix. But, we were very pleased with the evening performances, every day is different, well done guys! And yes, there are cockroaches in elevators too! The second working elevator eventually stopped working too, but it was repaired after a couple of days. No food at night. Fish in the water (blue, with yellow stripes). Little crabs are running along the beach. Equipped beach. There are enough sun beds for everyone! There are garbage cans on the beaches, there is a minimum of garbage. As far as we understood from the reviews from various hotels and the reviews of people with whom we talked on the plane on the way back - Sirenis has the largest beach line. There are two beaches. One is at the bar in the "forest", which looks like a bungalow. The second one is at the end of the snack bar. We went to the far beach almost every day because it seemed more picturesque and lively to us. Someone will find it too noisy, there are dances and water aerobics every day. By the way, I recommend to visit aquaerobics, a very fun event)) especially if there are a lot of people.
Of the advantages, it is also worth noting the cool evening shows. The staff is trying very hard, the guys are giving their best! Dancing is in the blood of Cubans! If you are going for a relaxing holiday, you will have enough entertainment programs. By the way, there were almost no children in the hotel (perhaps it was in September). It was a plus for us.
In the evenings, the piano is played at the hotel. It's impossible to tear myself away, how beautifully the pianist plays) Another advantage is the on-site store. In the store you can buy souvenirs, rum at reasonable prices, beer. There are waffles and juices for $ 4 - $ 5, but I wanted to eat- we bought and got high)) There is a second shop on the territory by the pool, where they sell cigars, hats, clothes, etc., but the mode of operation there is strange. In a word, manyana every day. The prices in this store are no higher than in the market in Varadero. Well, concluding the chapter "pros", I will write about the most important thing in the hotel. You say more heat, they understand English poorly, so no roasting, gave raw meat in fact). For a total of 13 days, our diet consisted of rice/pasta and chicken/pork. Of course, there were attempts to try other masterpieces of the cuisine of our hotel, but dishes such as fried coconut, fried cucumbers and bananas did not come in. Beef was also grilled, but they fry it to the state of the sole and it is impossible to eat it. Of the fruits there were decent pineapples, the rest of the fruits are sour. Once they took peaches in syrup, and they were already fermenting in a glass, they were bubbling so much. Delicious ice cream, we added ice cream to desserts and it was the only joy! But after the tuna, we had a very fun night on the pot, so we don't eat more tuna)) Cockroaches run everywhere in the dining room, the main thing is to look at your table, very often they just run around your table. Unfortunately, one day we saw the dishes being washed. The glasses are immersed in a bucket of soapy water, then taken out and wiped with a yellow cloth. There is no cleaning from the soap solution, and even more so from someone else's mouth. Stock up on alcohol wipes, wipe the appliances before eating. That's what we thought when we checked in… In the remaining days, we faced such problems as cockroaches in the room, lack of hot water, creaking bed, loose sockets (we had to prop up the adapter with a book to charge the phone), electricity was constantly turned off, the handles from the drawer remained in our hands when opened. On the fourth day of our stay, our electricity went out. And it was no longer included. We immediately went to the reception, explained the problem (it was about 19 pm). They promised to send a mechanic to fix everything. But, apparently, the mechanic's working day was over, and only at the first hour of the night we were informed that we would have to move. Without any problems, we would have waited until morning, but it was impossible to sleep without air conditioning. They moved to another building also on the third floor. The room was a little different: a separate dressing room, the room itself is brighter (more lamps, but not all of them had light bulbs), it even seemed that it was bigger. But our disappointment in the morning turned out to be that now the view from the room opened onto the dining room, from which there was a very delicious smell of fish, and the balcony itself was, as it were, deepened, a shabby wall with mold could be seen on the left. Below - right under the balcony there was a roof, on which our neighbors threw garbage from above - habariki, cigarette packs, etc. You're standing like this on the balcony, getting high- and suddenly a bull flies to you from the sky. In this wonderful room, we consistently had problems with the lock twice a day: the door does not close, but it does not open. The cards were flashed constantly. Once we came across the fact that the room could not be closed. You go to the reception, then you expect a mechanic. Half an hour, an hour.. you go to the reception again to remind yourself. And here he is - the long-awaited mechanic! He solved our problem with the lock very simply! Says "it will continue", just hang on the door handle and it will close. It's very funny, of course, waiting for an hour for a specialist who will tell you to hang on the door handle. Cuban pros)) In the new room we liked the bathroom, the plumbing was noticeably newer, the water was hot and it went away normally. The only complaint is the bucket in the toilet. Apparently, as it was put there, it was never washed, because the smell from it left much to be desired. On the last day of our departure, the air conditioner broke down and only the ventilation worked. The mechanic walked for a long time, but still came and said that everything should work within an hour. Fortunately, it was)

For the rest of our vacation, we went 5-6 times every day to ask for a change of towels and new water, our linen was never changed, and then it turned out that there were bedbugs in the hotel. Then a porter came running after us and began to threaten us through an interpreter, when asked to take a picture of his translator, he attacked my friend and tried to break his phone, when we started shooting him, he ran away, we came to the reception and called security, and in the presence of security, this man hit my friend again, then they fought but they began to demand beach towels, which we handed over and had already received a receipt that they were not with us, but they did not care. And then I saw the director of the hotel, I went up to him and told him everything, he shouted something and everything ran like cockroaches through the cracks, and the security said that there were no complaints against us. And we have complaints! To the Pegas company! Which we wrote every day, and they apologized and did nothing, to their agent at the hotel, to whom we wrote complaints and she sent us with a smile on her face and offered us to go on an excursion! We stayed at this hotel (sirenis tropical varadero) twice, February 2023 and January 2024, just returned. I decided to write to dispel your doubts.
I think the hotel is good, but in 2023 I liked it more.
Now for more details.
Positive:
1. Good location (if you look at the "spit" or the route of the 2-storey bus, it is about in the middle, you can walk to Plaza America, to the dolphinarium, and bargain with the taxi driver to get to Varadero in 10 minutes (usually they ask for 15)
2. Friendly and helpful staff. None of my requests, including *without tips*, were ignored. Employees always greet and smile.
3. They are well fed. Yes, cleanliness is largely lacking, for example, in 2023 there was no problem of poorly washed forks and plates. Everyone has their own taste in food, for example, I never eat salads without knowing what is mixed in them. I also don't like pasta. But for breakfast I always had cappuccino, eggs, cheese, rolls, vegetables, fruits. For lunch, rice, chicken, sometimes fish, vegetables, fruits, ice cream. For dinner, about the same, but instead of chicken, fish. Plus, I ate pumpkin, sweet potatoes, mussels a little at a time. Cakes. Unlimited water, with ice, without ice, cola, juice is not always (different, guava, papaya, mango was once), tea. Wine, beer for dinner, lunch. There is always coffee in the bar, if it is only for breakfast in the dining room. Vegetables (cucumbers, cabbage, tomatoes, greens) are different from ours. In Cuba, the soil is not very suitable for cucumbers, and tomatoes are imported, we were told so. But in general, it's all quite edible. Fruits, I love guava, papaya, they've always been there. Also pineapples, bananas, but I don't like them. Carambola (sour for me).
4. Very nice beach. There are always enough sun beds, there is no garbage. About beach towels: this year there is clearly a shortage, and not only in this hotel, we got them on the second try, sometimes people waited for 3-4 days.
5. Beautiful and large territory.
6. About room cleaning. Yes, they're getting out of the way. But sometimes they clean very well (I think it depends on the maid). I always leave little things as gifts, chocolates, nail polishes, some pesos. I'm not sorry, but people are pleased. And I'm not doing this to get my room cleaned better, but just. P.S. But you know, the people there are poor, with extremely low salaries, if you leave the maid $ 1 a day, you will spend $ 14 in 2 weeks. I think you won't go broke at all.
Water is put on every day, 4 small bottles of 0.5, or a half cup. We had enough.
We checked in in the evening (late arrival), the room had a short sheet on the mattress (did not cover the mattress), there were only 2 towels (large) in the bathroom. In the morning, I wrote (in Spanish with the help of an interpreter) a note for the maid asking her to replace the short sheet and add towels. All this appeared on the same day. Also, after 3 days, another foot towel appeared. In general, there are stains from the category of non-washable on the linen. What is, is. I do not understand what the problem is to buy more linen in China for a change, or good powders. Maybe it's the sanctions, I don't know. But it didn't stop us from resting.
7. Not a fan of bars, animations. But they are there. The guys try hard, arrange performances sometimes breaking into lunch or dinner)) We liked it. There is live music in the dining room every day, it is beautiful.
Minuses:
1. I have already outlined them above, there is a lack of cleanliness in the dining room, stains on the linen, sometimes there are not enough towels.
2. Specifically, the water in our room was not hot, but rather slightly warm. I found out that someone has a normal hot one, someone like me. I left a request at the reception, came to do something, went hotter. Then again. In general, I found a way out, washed (including my head) in the daytime from 16 to 17, then it was more or less hot. The one that was walking closer to night, it was cool for me to wash, my husband was normal.
3. Sometimes it is a problem to find an empty table at dinner if you do not come immediately to the opening. But the staff are trying to clean up and bring them like bees. P. S. this year, the manager in the dining room and the cook personally helped to collect dirty dishes from the tables. I still didn't understand if the hotel was too full, or if there were more staff working that year.
I just don't see the disadvantages of the hotel anymore.
Now about what overshadowed our vacation this year.

Two examples.
a 2-storey bus, at some stop a hop company of ours gets on. They are traveling on the 2nd floor. Suddenly they realize that they have to get out somewhere here. The guy jumps up and yells at the top stop, stop (seriously? Should they hear you down there?), yells further, adds the English words I say stop, stop. Do you think that's what they heard? The bus is coming. The man starts jumping on the floor and stomping his feet loudly, and continuing to yell. Facepalm. Thank God you came out, I was ashamed of you. You can see a diagram with stops, or you can just take a wheelbarrow and yell stop at least at every corner.
The second example is the dining room, breakfast.
Fried eggs, scrambled eggs are fried in front of you. There are 2 signs, in 6 languages it says omelet and scrambled eggs.
3 of our men are standing with a plate and one of them pointed at the eggs, and the display of 3 pieces. The woman began to break eggs into a cup (I note that if you do not immediately mark the scrambled eggs, they begin to stir the omelet), the man rolled his eyes, then poked his finger into the eggs and into the pan. Hello, is there no language? Or should I poke the sign weakly with my finger? How to rewind the mat so you are very good. The woman realized that she needed scrambled eggs, then poured the egg into the trash, broke a new one into the pan, but out of panic she forgot to pour the oil, eventually scraped everything off, did it again. For example, here is an episode of the good treatment of vacationers with the staff, to say hello, say an omelet or poke your finger at the inscription scrambled eggs and show the number of eggs on your fingers. Russian Russian is not required to know anyone here, unfortunately, the staff saw only assaults and aggressive bellowing from the majority of Russians.

Although here's another one, do people not feed you at home? Or what's the matter with you? A plate of guava was brought, the woman flew up, and dumped the whole dish on her plate. I hope you're okay.
And they also collect plates full of everything, leave them on the tables and leave, what a pity this food is. What do you think about when you collect 10 pieces of bread, 8 cakes, a plate of sausage and bacon. About the besieged Leningrad? It was a pity to see how it all, in places completely untouched, flies into the general trash.
In general, Cuba is not Turkey, there is not and will never be the service you are used to, the mentality is not the same. Russians, smile back at the staff, say hello and don't be misers. And don't shame our country, as in the episodes above.
PS I forgot about cockroaches, unfortunately in Cuba they are also in 5* hotels. I haven't seen them in the rooms, but they're chasing them around the canteen. And take mosquito fumigators with you.

It was our first trip to Cuba! It took us a very long time to choose a hotel, because in Varadero they are all very old, there are very few reviews and they are ambiguous. We chose this wonderful hotel at the last moment! We have never regretted it! It was unforgettable! Although the hotel has not been renovated for a long time, but the Cubans are so good, they try so hard! The food is delicious: lots of fruits, seafood, meat, cheeses, sausages, sweets. There was even a separate island with Italian pasta. Cute swans and wonderful little notes were waiting for us in the room every day after cleaning. The room was booked with a view of the garden, but since Varadero is a kind of spit, the ocean was also visible! The territory is very well maintained, a lot of greenery, birds! Every morning, dawn was greeted on the balcony. Gardeners will always pick fresh coconuts for you! Not a single negative moment! A snack bar is open around the clock, where you can have a snack with burgers or sandwiches. And in the evening, sit comfortably in the bar on the ground floor with a cup of coffee. The beach is clean, without algae, there is even a free rental of catamarans, small sailboats and canoes. To anyone looking for a hotel, I can safely recommend this one! You will never regret it!
