I found the Silk Road Hotel by chance on an aggregator website. At first, I chose solely based on the price and availability of single rooms.
When I arrived at the hotel, I was shocked in a good way by the atmosphere of the building and the hospitality of the staff. Highly recommend it. The Museum of National Handicrafts and Carpet Weaving is located right in the hotel building, as well as a training center where children are taught the skills of this disappearing art. In general, the combination of a museum, a handicraft center and a hotel creates an atmosphere of a cozy boarding house, which compares favorably with standard chain hotels.
Breakfast was simply indecently plentiful, and I still couldn't eat everything, although I "ate" every dish with my eyes. Lunch is plentiful and very tasty.
The staff is friendly, they can communicate in Russian. We went ahead with early check-in and late check-out.
In general: if you are in Yerevan, you can go there.

A very cozy hotel and carpet workshop, I have stayed more than once, and next time I will also stay here. A wonderful breakfast overlooking the garden and part of the city. High-quality and hospitable service, nice cozy interior.
It is clean, cozy, and the rooms are spacious enough. WiFi is normal.
The hotel regularly hosts workshops and other events.

It's a lovely hotel, small in appearance, but actually very large, with a beautiful courtyard. We watched how the girl wove the carpet, how painstaking it is! Very attentive and courteous staff, varied and delicious breakfast. Thank you for your hospitality.

A super Hotel! I heartily recommend it! The courtyard is simply fabulous! The rooms are comfortable, with a national flavor. The food is good. View of Ararat. Now I am in another, unfortunately, heaven and earth! Good staff, great location, 10 minutes by taxi to the very center. There are inexpensive grocery stores, fruit and vegetable shops and everything you need.

Cozy, neat, unusual, colorful, atmospheric, friendly, comfortable, multi-level museum hotel with a magnificent courtyard garden! We are staying with the family for the second time after 2017. The expectations associated with the memories of the first stay were fully justified. However, they have not yet seen baking bread in a tandoor in the courtyard and hand-weaving a carpet in the lower hall. We hope to see you again!

Nice little hotel. The unusual location of the rooms. The interior of the hotel is filled with the warmth of handmade Armenian carpets. The rooms are clean and cozy. Friendly and attentive staff. Excellent breakfasts with a varied menu. The food is cooked at home, vegetables, fruits, Armenian coffee, pastries, rose petal jam. A picturesque courtyard where you can relax, order a meal at a restaurant or just admire the way figs are spiced. The cost of living is somewhat overpriced.

A miracle, not a hotel! It is very cozy, beautiful, and comfortable. The bed, mattress, and blanket in the room were clean and comfortable. There are wonderful balconies with beautiful views. You want to touch and examine everything on the territory of this small hotel, walk and take pictures. Delicious breakfasts, and during the day you can order food and alcohol. Recommendation!

A lovely cozy family hotel. Authenticity is really maintained, this is not a defunct hotel, but a place with a soul. We had breakfast included — delicious, but not very varied, although there was always something from the national cuisine. The location is good, walking distance to the center is about 15-20 minutes. Even less by taxi. I recommend.

A chic museum hotel. You can't call it anything else. You can walk for hours and look at every detail.
Very friendly, polite and helpful people work here.

A great small hotel, in a good location, not in the city center. There is Parking, if you own or rent a car, it is very convenient. The only disadvantages are: the beds are too short and some concerts are held until 11-12 at night in the sports and concert complex. But if you wind up in a day, you pass out quickly, and no music interferes)

An amazing hotel! The cozy atmosphere, the staff is gold, everyone is polite, tactful, friendly - it feels like you've come to visit friends. On the ground floor there is a fantastically beautiful garden, the owners treat you with their fruits, you listen to the birds singing at breakfast and enjoy life. Moreover, it is not just a hotel - it is a museum and a place of creativity. Every day you can watch the work of carpet weaving masters, and if you want to buy their products. But no one will impose it on you, which is extremely pleasant. I wish the owners every possible prosperity!

I liked everything! Well, except that the beds are short and narrow. The refrigerator in the room was making a lot of noise. They turned it off for several days so as not to interfere with sleep. The breakfasts are very tasty and hearty. The atmosphere of the museum is inside. Friendly staff. The room is cleaned every day.

A delightful place! I don't understand why the score is 4.2 - there should be a solid 5!
Indeed, it's like visiting friends. Quiet, cozy. But at the same time, the service can safely give odds to many 5 *.
Daily cleaning with replacement of towels and slippers (!). The room has everything you might need - from a hair dryer and a kettle to toiletries and a sweet daily compliment! I had a room with a balcony (not a balcony, but a straight balcony) and a view of the courtyard and Ararat (if it's important to someone, then room 3).
The hotel is worth the money. Moreover, in my opinion, it could cost more. Therefore, if you have a choice between one and the other, choose the Silk Road! You won't regret it.
P.S.: there is always a corkscrew at the reception. 😉

It's a very cozy place, it feels like you've come to visit your friends. The uniqueness lies in the fact that the building itself is an apartment building with its own history, reflected in the atmosphere and style of the interior. A beautiful courtyard located on three levels with a garden of southern pomegranate and fig fruit trees and decorated with various kinds of sculptures and wood crafts. Everything is done with taste, love and care for the guests. In the evening, after hiking around the city, it is pleasant to sit with a glass of red Armenian wine and a dish of Armenian fruits and drink a cup of Armenian coffee. All this is complemented by wonderful unobtrusive music and excellent service. In the morning, you will be greeted with cordiality and an excellent buffet in the restaurant, which is still necessary to start a good day. The bed linen is of excellent quality and cleanliness corresponding to the level of service. And it must be said that it is unlikely that anywhere else you can see firsthand how the famous wool and silk carpets are woven. As soon as they managed to preserve and continue this difficult folk craft. Bravo! The rooms have a great view of Yerevan and Mount Ararat, it's a wonderful view.
Thanks to the owners of the hotel for their reverent attitude to history and the warm and welcoming atmosphere in the hotel.
Guests from Krasnodar visited your hotel from September 2 to 5, 2019. And believe me, it may not be a budget option, but it's worth it. We have a lot of baggage traveling around the world!! there is something to compare it with.
