I read a lot of negative reviews before visiting the hotel. But! We stayed for a week from 12/30. The room is cozy, clean on the 14th floor, has everything you need, a beautiful view of the city.
The staff is friendly, checked in ahead of schedule without any problems, always in a good mood, ready to help with any questions. Thank you so much for a good rest! We will definitely come back!
The hotel is wonderful for its level. On the 13th floor, the view is gorgeous, especially at night. Clear. There's bottled water in the fridge. The room is large. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The TV is working. There is a dining room on the 2nd floor. There is a cafe on the 1st floor. The girls at the reception are friendly and hospitable.
The hotel is in a good location. The very center. It's cozy, not pretentious. There are nuances, but I was on business and out of season. Therefore, there were few people. One of the disadvantages is the high audibility. When someone moved in next to me, there were conversations, and when the closet was closed, it felt like they were closing it for me
Advantages convenient location from all sides, breakfasts are "not a lot", but you won't stay hungry, the audibility is tinny, but the room is warm, the darkness in the room killed, only lamps, sockets are also "scarce", if you turn off the refrigerator or lamp with a partner to put the phone on charge, a big plus we had a very good daily cleaning service, give the employee a bonus for the 13th floor during the New Year holidays!
The hotel is practically in the city center, we were out of season. The rooms are old, the water is barely running, the cooler is only on some floors, the breakfasts are empty - a couple of cuts, a couple of salads, porridge, eggs and that's it...
Breakfast is a nightmare
The rooms are dirty
Everything is leaking in the showers
I don't recommend it, you'll kill the mood from the first minute you get into the room.
Nothing works, clamshells , so that you understand the rooms
The same goes for me.
It needs repair. A budget option.Poorly cleaned, the shower is leaking, stains on the floor and ceiling. Wi-Fi catches only at the reception. The only advantage is the view of Mount Ararat. I do not recommend it.
Nice hotel. The view from the window was certainly not very good, but we didn't need to. We only spent the night in the hotel. The location is good. There's a cafe downstairs. The breakfast is quite good. Many thanks to the cook! We were alone with the children in the hotel. So one day she baked profiteroles for us. Very attentive. The waitress is also a smart girl! The maids are very attentive and friendly. If something is needed, it will help.
Excellent location, courteous staff, bar-restaurant. It's all great, but the numbers.... It's just a horror, a horror. Renovation is needed, and even 10 years ago.
Soviet-era rooms, doors with huge slits! The cleanliness of the room wants the best (the TV shows one BBC channel, the breakfasts are terrible 💩 I gave two stars just because of the location! I do not recommend this hotel for accommodation!
There are no advantages, I think this place is not suitable for living, everyone who decides to visit Yerevan, run away from this hotel like from the plague, there are a lot of amazing or at least acceptable hotels in Yerevan, but not this one.
An unpleasant aftertaste remained from the fact that when leaving the cleaner began to pester with cleaning, before that she did not clean at all, and before leaving she wiped it with a rag and asked 500 times: "How did I clean? Do you like it? Take a look." I felt bad that day and didn't answer her, I just said that everything was fine, but she didn't lag behind, apparently she wanted some money. So she ended up saying that I drank water in the refrigerator, although I didn't see the water!!! She threw away my bottle, which I bought elsewhere, and says that I took this water from them.
At the reception, I explained that I did not take water, especially since there is a cooler in the hotel.
There was an unpleasant residue because of this cleaner and water. Water is not so expensive and if I took it, I would pay for it. Moreover, in Armenia, they drink water from the tap and bottles of still water that are sold are tap water, since they have good drinking water in the tap.
Why leave such a negative impression about yourself because of such a trifle?
At the reception, they also talked like that, as if I wasn't their client, but they were dissatisfied customers.

Great location, courteous staff in the center. Everything is just great. Those who do not know where to stay can safely choose this option.
The terrible attitude of the hotel administrators towards the customers. I've traveled a lot and visited different hotels, but I've never seen anything like the ladies at the reception. We arrived with my sister and niece and lived in different rooms. It started with the fact that my sister was asked to move into a room where neither the air conditioner, nor the TV, nor the hotel phone worked. All our complaints were simply ignored. And in the end, the administrator instructed my elderly sister to sit in my room for a few hours in the afternoon before our plane took off, they brought her to a severe hypertensive crisis, so it was scary to fly to Moscow. An absolutely inhumane attitude. Do not stay in this hotel in any case!!!
The pictures do not correspond to reality. Dump. There's dirt in the bathroom. The toilet lid is broken. It's scary to touch the bathroom curtain. The air conditioner is not working, it's cold. The sockets are hanging out. It smells of mold and smoke. You can only walk on the carpet in shoes. It's dirty. I almost threw up at breakfast, the worker goes without a hat and shakes her hair over what is called food. One strong one is 100 euros per night.
Friends, it's just not fair to take money for living in such a barn. It's just like they brought it from a landfill, honestly. The plumbing has fallen into disrepair: the shower splashes in all directions, the water from the shower tray does not leave, the shower stand itself is broken, and the cabin does not close, so it is basically impossible to take a shower without flooding the entire room. The lid of the trash can is broken off, the toiletry shelf hangs down on one side, as it hangs on one nail. Upholstered furniture with stains of unknown origin, we have only homeless people who arrange their picnics in the summer. Bed linen is made of the cheapest synthetics, it is unpleasant to touch. The sheet is without an elastic band, and since it is synthetic, it slides and slides. Everything is smoky! Starting from the lobby and the hotel bar and ending with curtains in the room! The smell is very unpleasant. The staff is either indifferent or rude. No one is smiling or apologizing for all this mess. He is in no hurry to help. It's just the last straw. In short, there is only one plus - location.
Good layouts. Very strange showers with one sash. The Internet is disgusting. Terrible nutrition. You can't drink any drinks. Be prepared for the fact that the maid will tell you that she does not have enough towels. We were a big group, the incidents were in several rooms according to the same scenario. Apart from the location, there are few advantages.
I have visited many hotels, even old
Soviet sanatoriums in Russia, but I have never seen such a hellhole anywhere!!! Old worn-out furniture, on which, judging by its appearance, Stalin still breathed his last, the air conditioner is not working, the mattresses in the room from which the springs stick out like needles from a cactus, three spotlights near the window are illuminated, and one of them is torn out, well, apparently, the lighting is thought out so that in this darkness it does not to see this shit, I found three sockets for the whole room, a refrigerator is stuck in one, judging by the sound, with a diesel drive, the second just falls out of the wall, the third still managed to charge the phone, there is a toilet behind the headboard, running water in which I listened throughout the night. The floors of the room are covered with carpet, with an exclusive pattern, it feels like before this room he was lying in some kind of slaughterhouse, I could not overcome myself and take off my shoes in this room. In general, if you want to feel like a caveman, do not deny yourself the pleasure of visiting this incomparable place
We arrived today. We booked a room for accommodation with a 13-year-old child. We did not get a room, but a shower room: like a working air conditioner, but in the room plus 35. The air conditioner performs a decorative function. The extreme reluctance of the staff to solve the problem. They refuse to provide a room with normal air conditioning, not to mention elementary attempts to somehow correct or compensate for this discomfort.
I just do not recommend this hotel for accommodation in hot weather, or before paying and checking in, I advise you to ask to show the room so as not to sweat in it later like we do.
And there is no movement on the part of the staff on the proposal to somehow solve the problem.
It was in May 2022 at a price of about 3,000 rubles. For this money, the hotel is decent. You can see that you are a little tired, but the place is great, the breakfast is not great, but everyone will find a dish to taste.
There are no obvious disadvantages.
I haven't seen such tin for a long time. The rooms are old, the TVs are antediluvian, the walls are dirty, the Wi-Fi does not work. There's a hole in the door by the lock
I had a vacation in Armenia in November and stayed at this hotel all the time of my stay! In short : the most convenient location, everything is nearby and close! I got a room on the 5th floor with a view of the Children's Park and Mount Ararat- a fairy tale! The room is comfortable, everything is there, everything is convenient, Wi-Fi was excellent, so I did not call Russia, but only sent all photo reports via messengers... The room was cleaned, towels were changed, shampoos and soap were reported, but I had everything my own! Breakfast is not huge, but even though I am a lactovegetarian, I had no problems with the choice: there is always porridge with milk, although there was no variety, in 12 days I tried, like, only 4 types, a bunch of greens from coriander, onion, dill to basil and fresh mint, there were scrambled eggs, 2 types of cheeses sausage, always 2 vegetable side dishes, sometimes fish, more often chicken, sweets, cheap sugary drinks, tea, coffee, water... I made cheese sandwiches, ate porridge, piled stewed vegetables and herbs, bought myself a cake from neighboring pastry shops for tea, in general, everything was a joy to me... The walls of the room are too thin and once the visiting Armenians spoiled an hour for me before going to bed, but I was tired of excursions and fell asleep without paying much attention to it... The staff is quite polite, friendly and courteous, it was pleasant and safe! I recommend it to those who do not disdain to be surrounded by Iranians, Russian Caucasians, of whom there are many here and do not chase a cool buffet with a variety of table! This is a good combination of low cost and comfort for the proposed level of payment! I recommend it, it's very simple and not bad here!
Scoop with a scoop. The shower head is beating with an electric current) You wash like this and pray, just so it doesn't kill you. And the poor breakfast is forcibly included in the price.
I forgot the sausage in the refrigerator, when checking the room, the service staff did not pay attention, but they noticed that the water bottle was missing, they were very dishonest!!!! It was a gift from Siberia. Hurtful....
We wanted to have lunch, we came in with a small pet dog on our arms, we were escorted out of the door - they say you can't go with dogs. A strange dislike of animals is more important than business and hospitality(
The Shirak Hotel is located in the very center of Yerevan. From it to the Republic Square is about 4-5 minutes on foot. The restaurants "tavern Yerevan" and "Caucasian captive" are two minutes away. The golden Market is five minutes away. The hotel room itself is small, but nice and warm. Our double room had one large bed, consisted of two pushed together, three floor lamps, two chairs, a wardrobe. There's not much room in the closet. The surface of the bedside tables is occupied by floor lamps. To put the phone, Watch, or something else, I put the landline phone on the floor)) They tried to contact the reception once, but no one answered the phone. Or maybe we just dialed the number incorrectly)) A comfortable bed, soft pillows, clean snow-white linen. Floor-to-ceiling windows. There is no balcony as such, but the windows open, there is a lattice behind them. Vacationers with children just need to be careful. The bathroom is clean, the plumbing worked perfectly, even the shower cabin was not leaking anywhere. There is always hot water. There is a hair dryer. Worked. There is a kettle in the room in which someone cooked pasta (stuck inside), a refrigerator with 4 bottles of soda for a fee. A large TV that did not turn off from the remote control. I had to get out of bed and press the button manually. Poor sound insulation, but it seems to me that it is in all hotels in all countries)) Among the disadvantages of the room: trampled carpet (the impression that vacationers never changed their shoes) and I did not have enough sockets and light. There are three sockets near the bedside tables, two of which have floor lamps inserted. To charge, for example, a phone, you need to remove the plug of the floor lamp, but then the light goes out and in order to get the charging plug into the outlet, you had to light up the phone with a flashlight. All the room lighting is three floor lamps. There is not a single light bulb on the ceiling. Breakfast is included in the room rate. By the way, the cost for 5 nights with breakfast on the January holidays was slightly more than 10 thousand Russian rubles. Now for breakfast... four types of salads, two types of sausage, cheese, one porridge, two types of cereals, ready-made fried eggs, pancakes with meat, cabbage rolls, pasta, yuppies, tea bags, instant coffee, pita bread. There was a lot of food, there was enough for everyone, but everything was tasteless to me, and I'm not picky about food. The cafe on the ground floor of the hotel was saved. It has a varied menu and everything is delicious. A full-fledged excellent cafe, open around the clock. The declared restaurant did not work, we did not specify the reasons. And also, who cares, for 5 nights our room has never been cleaned. But we didn't litter, we didn't spend much time in the room, so it didn't matter to us. Meeting the maid in the hallway, they asked her to replace the towels. She immediately changed them (4 pieces for two) and brought shampoo, soap and toilet paper. They advised paying for the room at the reception in cash (local, of course), the exchanger is next to the "Caucasian captive", right opposite. Maybe there is a closer one, I write from my experience, you can use a card (bank card, not an ace of diamonds), but they will take 4% plus. Despite the disadvantages that I wrote about, considering that the breakfasts were just disgusting for me, I will once again be happy to stay at this hotel and already recommend it to my friends. I liked the hotel, and the location is wonderful! All good things are taken for granted, so I noted the disadvantages, which were generally insignificant for us personally.
I can only speak positively about the wonderful cleaner.
Administrators are not interested (not all, as it turned out, were caught and normal). The kitchen is terrible, undercooked, undercooked, sausage made of cardboard for breakfast.
If difficulties arise, then you have to run around asking a hundred times. Synthetic bedding ( wi-fi absolutely does not work. A suite is not a suite.
The rooms themselves are spacious and bright, the location is good.
Professional and courteous staff. Room 604 has a comfortable "living area". In the bathroom, the heated towel rail is hung so that the door to the shower cabin opens only by a third, but you can push through sideways. In the sink, the faucet is so short that you either have to turn your hands out or get lost on the sink.
The price is 2,900 rubles per day with a buffet breakfast and dinner. It is very good. The food is delicious, the rooms are quite clean, everything works. WiFi in the rooms is not working well, but there is everywhere.
The hotel is good, and even in the center
