The airport is simple, without any special frills, but good.
The staff is working well, fast enough.
There are no special checks, everything is very light.
Upon arrival, biometrics works perfectly, immediately sorting out those who have issued an entry permit and those who have not done so or have not paid. I would like to remind everyone that Russians do not need a visa to the Seychelles, but Travel authorization needs to be issued. And it's better in advance, then the payment will be about 15 euros per person, not 70, as an urgent one at the airport. Even with a non-working bank card, you can apply for it (+ write to support), and pay upon arrival, the cost will remain the same, 15 euros.
A compact airport with 4 boarding gates. There is a small waiting area, but there are plenty of places for everyone, as there are few international flights. Several shops and duty-free. The entire Takamaka rum line and related products are displayed on the second floor. There's also a rum-based cocktail bar.
Visa control is fast, there are no queues, as well as at check-in, because tourists are brought by small buses and there is no rush. Check-in is only at the airport, online is not available. But the staff is kind enough and helps to book the right places.
The airport has the best exchanger on the island, and the exchange rate will be low in other places!
The airport is small, but not bad. Checks are fast, queues do not accumulate. Duty free is quite small, there are several jewelry and souvenir shops and only one with alcohol, perfumes and sweets. Takamaka rum was only a liter, I don't know if it was standard or during our visit, but 0.7 was only black elite Takamaka. There are two souvenir shops: one is almost standard, but with a variety of magnets, soap, lotions and the second is artistic. There you can buy something original and high-quality, although not cheap, but this is the case everywhere.
The airport is small but comfortable.
Pastry chefs are working and this is a big plus!
I really liked Takamaka themed souvenir shop. We bought souvenirs and tasted the author's cocktails in the bar nearby)))
A detailed review, sit back and listen..
Seychelles Airport is the smallest airport on earth. Upon arrival, you will be asked to take a short (15-minute) walk. processing (directly on the plane), then the plane will drive directly to the airport building where it is 100 steps on foot and that's it.. You're at customs. There you (unlike Sheremetyevo) will no longer be searched so much, and the entrance control will be carried out automatically (when passing through a frame with a camera and sensors in 10 seconds). It is important that you have a visa (permit) and send them your photo beforehand (it is used to identify you). Next, you will find the most meager duty-free. Take only cigarettes in it (although I didn't see them there), take them even if you don't smoke. In the city, they will cost from 1,500 rubles per pack or piece by piece, as in the 90s (well, you understand). Take champagne of the Asti type there (in the city it costs from 2000 rubles), and alcohol at the rate of 2 liters (in the city all this costs three or more times more expensive). Next, change the money in the amount of 250 euros per person for 10 days, at the rate of about 15 rupees for 1 euro (the farthest of the exchangers, the most profitable). Even if you make a mistake (you will need more), you can always get here and buy, if there are extra ones left, you can easily exchange them back on departure (the difference is about 5%). At the same time, you will have perhaps the best souvenirs in the world (coins of 1, 5 and 10 rupees with various animals and symbols.
Next, at the exit, taxi drivers are waiting for you (they will take from 5000 rubles), car rental is waiting (from 50 euros per day, plus insurance of 11 euros, although it will be much cheaper in your hotel), a bus is waiting, which is a little more detailed. The fact is that someone who has already traveled knows: he got off the plane with a small backpack, bumped into the bus and that's it. For the rest, I'll describe it in more detail (and you won't find such information in any of the local chat rooms, I don't know why). In short, you can really get on the bus right away, because its stop is literally in front of the entrance to this very airport, but to know where to go, you need to download the map in advance maps.me (not advertising, but simply the best choice of an offline card that works literally everywhere and without the Internet - i.e. always), and if there is no transfer to the hotel, you need to plan your route in advance. In any case, do not worry (although the weather is + 30 and humidity at 85% will not give you such a chance), your arrival will be around lunchtime, which means there is a whole day ahead and you will have time to do everything (even walk). Don't count on the local mobile Internet too much. Here it is better not to turn it on at all, because even if you were a super VIP client and everywhere on this planet you were given it for free, it does not work here, here it costs from 670 rubles a day purely for the Internet (Megaphone), well, do not even recognize calls (expensive). But let's continue. You will be allowed on the bus even with suitcases (although everyone writes that you do not), you only need to have a bus card (you cannot pay in cash on buses). This card is sold in any Indian store where Hindus sit at the checkout, the nearest one is located as you go out to the right, the cost is from 10 to 30 rupees (60-180 rubles) for the card itself), plus travel at the rate of 1000 Russian rubles per person for 10 days. One card will be enough for everyone. That's it, you can exhale. A bus is the easiest and cheapest way to get around this island (Mahe). Its only drawback is that local drivers drive hard (crazy bus), and if you decide to meet the sunset (around 19:00) on a beach that is not yours (west and north coast), then going out on the road you suddenly find out that the buses are no longer running. It saves that the locals are very kind and honest. They will even take you for free (but that's not for sure).
Now on departure. Upon departure, they search according to their mood (someone strongly, someone not very much) and many things will not be allowed to fly. At the airport, buy their branded Takamaka (local rum, which is sold in the company store next to the Duty Free on the second floor - 20 euros for 0.7) and nothing else. Just leave coins (this is the best souvenir).
Excellent airport, very friendly staff and customs, I recommend Seychelles rum from the first steps, excellent stylized toilets, excellent photos are obtained against the background of the airport

A small, clean and cozy airport. Registration is fast. The toilet is clean. There is a small coffee shop with delicious and very strong coffee, with sandwiches and desserts.
The air conditioners are working fine, it's cool at the airport.
The prices in duty-free are adequate. For example, I have attached photos.
Takamaka rum is sold here only in liter bottles, it is cheaper than on the island itself. An excellent selection of perfumes at prices below Domodedovo. Seychelles cards are slightly more expensive than in Bo Vallon.
There is also a nice art store with an interesting assortment.
It's not a big airport. But rum is cheaper than in the city) the business hall is without pretensions, the food is delicious, the bar has a wide selection. There are sofas. The staff is friendly.
I love small atmospheric airports and this one is one of them!
Don't forget to go up to the second floor dedicated to Takamaka and end your vacation with a lovely cocktail overlooking the runway and the beautiful ocean! Cocktails are made very tasty! Better than the Takamaka factory!
The airport is cozy, the staff is very friendly, everything you need is available, even there is a shower!!! It's free!! There is no special control at the entrance and exit from the airport, you can run from the street to the terminal and back at least 100 times. The bus stops nearby to the city and there is a circular 9k around the island . A bottle of Coca Cola in the vending machine costs 25 local money (150 rubles), there is a burger King, exchangers, a kiosk for SIM cards and bus cards. Everything is cool!! This is the Seychelles - it can't be any other way))
It's a great airport. They quickly passed through customs. I liked that there was a separate passage with the children. There is a duty free shop. To get to the plane on foot. But the planes are also driven close to the building.
A small, cozy and simple airport, there are no queues, you pass it quickly) there is a good business lounge, cafes and souvenir shops, a small duty free)
It's a great airport. It's small, but everything happens very quickly. Even if you forgot to fill out the form, they will help and prompt you. Nice baby fries on arrival. Prices are lower than in Moscow.
A small atmospheric airport corresponding to the low air traffic and the size of the magical Seychelles. Don't count too much on duty free, you can buy simple souvenirs and local Takamaka rum.
Small , compact . No telescopic sleeves, no buses. I went out on the ladder, walked 50 meters and you are already in the customs control zone. On arrival, insecticides were sprayed in the cabin (Aeroflot flight) . Everything was fine in our family, but allergy sufferers need to be on their guard, although they say it's safe for people. Baggage and baggage are checked selectively. Except for standard items, seeds and all stone fruits (apples, pears, etc.) are prohibited for import. They are afraid for their endemics. The main drawback is the lack of air conditioning (very stuffy) and electronic registration on the way back (2023). Emirates flew in 2024 - electronic registration was, apparently, sanctions on Aeroflot were to blame.
Almost nothing has changed in 5 years... car rental stands have appeared... the same shops, cafes and increased prices.
Upon arrival, you pass through a frame that, as I understand it, scans your face and determines whether the entry fee has been paid or not...
the local airport for departure to the islands is located there, 300 meters away, you can say around the corner.
There is a VIP lounge.
It's a great airport for such a small island. It takes a lot of planes. It is conveniently located, so you can get to it by bus and by taxi. It is located in a picturesque place between the mountains and the ocean. Excellent parking. You can drive directly to the entrance by car. The navigation is excellent. No fuss and crowds. There are many cafes, shops, and exchange offices. The most relaxed passport control and inspection. Everything is fast, without queues. There is an excellent Takamaka cafe-bar in the boarding waiting area, where you can have a snack and try local drinks. An excellent business lounge, which can be accessed with a business class ticket or for $ 50. There is everything for a comfortable stay. There are a lot of alcoholic and soft drinks. Everything is free. Fresh and delicious snacks. Beautiful view from the window. The planes are parked right outside the airport building. That's why there are no buses there. Boarding and disembarkation are organized by airport staff.
There are two business halls. On domestic flights, the only amenities are cappuccino and croissants. There are no hot dishes. The hall is empty. The lounge with international departures is much better. There are hot dishes, snacks, juices, coffee, alcohol (wine and beer)

The airport is good, duty-free opens at 7 a.m., and some shops are open even at night. There is a bar and a Takamaka merch shop on the second floor. In duty you can buy takamaka very cheaply-1 liter at a price of 0.7 liters. There is also a toy store (bats, Coco de mer, turtles, octopuses, etc.). Large and spacious parking at the airport, free until 7-8 am. In the afternoon, the police issue parking tickets
Everything is very expensive, I do not advise you to buy alcoholic beverages there, everything is on the left, before going there, be sure to register, like a visa, otherwise they will charge you 75 euros upon arrival, hotels are not very good, it's better to rent apartments and a car!The connection is dear!
A very small airport. Everything is sweet and sincere. There are no walls to the control area - everything is under a blown canopy.
Paid parking is available for free.
Half of the second floor is Takamaka's store. The second half is a business lounge with a good view. Food and drinks are available a little, without frills and special variety.
Well-organized flow of passengers. Friendly and attentive staff. Convenient car parking. A coffee shop with high-quality coffee. A large selection of car rental companies and a couple of large travel agencies. Currency exchange and sale of local sim cards. There are two halls: local and international. Luggage packing and taxis are presented. A small and pleasant airport with a thoughtful organization of passenger traffic. Souvenir shops and other tourist supplies can boast of a good assortment.
Not a bad little airport, on the 1st floor check-in, arrival, departure, passport and customs control, not a lot of duty free, small souvenirs, soap, magnets, etc. On the second floor there is a business hall and a cafe, and it is convenient to watch the arrival of planes against the background of the bay.
It's nice to be here. The staff is polite. Little. There is a pharmacy and souvenir shops. There are alcohols and perfumes in dutik, just like everywhere else. There is nowhere to eat after the customs area, keep in mind. There is a mini-cafe, but it is better, of course, to take something with you
Seychelles is a fairy tale!))) We were on the island of La Digue. There's a gorgeous beach on the other side behind salami and in general there is a place to climb on the island ... if you get to the very top of the island, you will find a place where you look at flying dogs without raising your head, but lowering it and looking at them from the top!)) there is not much to say about the airport ... but it reminded me very much of Crimea))) enjoy your stay!)))
It looks like the airport in Makhachkala. Fast, simple, crowded)
I couldn't find where to wrap the suitcase with foil.
There is a cafe, an exchange and you can buy a SIM card when you exit.
Surprisingly, it is not a very pleasant large airport typical of many island states. A beautiful runway along the sea, there is a terminal for private animation. A few souvenir shops, not a big duty free. There is a VIP terminal and a business lounge.
There are no queues). And there is no control at the entrance to the airport either). A great dude. It is better to buy souvenirs in it. The prices are about the same.
A very small airport with walls 1 meter high and no doors)) The entrance is free, there are no metal detectors and barriers. However, inside there is everything you need to relax and have a snack. We liked it.
Small, neat. Conveniently located. A gorgeous view when you take off or land. The exchanger is a better rate than in the city. You can purchase a cellular connection right away. We also had a car delivered to us right here for rent. And oddly enough, with the high prices of Seychelles, the Duty Free prices are lower than in Abu Dhabi and Moscow.
They wanted to go to the business hall, the system did not work according to the lounge application. There is not much to eat at the airport and the choice is small in duty-free
A small, cozy airport. I was surprised that no suitcases were checked at the entrance. The plane takes off over the ocean, very beautiful.
On the second floor there is a bar of the famous Seychelles rum.
Great little airport! Everything went extremely quickly. Duty free is very small, there are a couple more souvenir shops. We bought a balloon for a Christmas tree, well, it doesn't matter that September is the month)))There is a bar on the second floor, not visited, but there is a cheerful atmosphere)
A normal international airport. It accepts aircraft of both transcontinental and local lines. The staff works clearly. Upon arrival on the island, the most favorable exchange rate for currency exchange.
The airport is small, but duty free with a large selection and prices are 10 percent lower than in Sheremetyevo. Shops, it is better to buy any souvenirs here. There is a bus terminal , but we did not have time to get into it.
The airport is small but compact, everything is fast, which made me very happy!! The range of dyutak is poor, in terms of cosmetics, but alcohol is everywhere and prices are lower than in other places.
Well, you definitely won't get lost) The airport is small, the prices in the cafe inside (and there is one) are slightly higher than the usual store. There are always plenty of places available. The staff is friendly, but the small scissors with which they arrived, were taken away on departure, it's strange...
We were all processed very quickly, they didn't ask for a paper visa, they have everything in the database. Some of the people from our plane were asked to walk with an escort into a dark, dark room. I never saw them again. On departure, the waiting room is full of food in the shops, you will not stay hungry, on the second floor there is a tourist's dream brewery and a business hall.
Very small, rustic airport) This is both a minus and a plus at the same time. In general, there is everything you need: ATMs, car rental, exchangers and cafes. Due to the small size, you can arrive an hour and a half before departure. It is very stuffy on departure, do not dress immediately in the clothes of the country of arrival, take a change of clothes with you on the plane.
Unusual location, right by the sea. Correspondingly, a wonderful view on takeoff / landing. The business hall is excellent, cozy, with a good assortment of drinks!
The airport itself is small and cozy. The staff works quickly and smoothly. There are small shops and a free lunch area in the waiting area. But the prices are more expensive than in the city.
A small, cozy airport. Everything is fast and convenient. There are shops in both the arrival and departure areas. There are no problems with the organization of arrival and departure.
In general, the place is not bad, there is enough comfort, everything you need is there, four for the prices. 500 rubles for the simplest magnet - as for me it is beyond the limit.
