A picturesque place. Climbing up the many steps to Sevanovank, you can enjoy an incredible view of Sevan. The monasteries themselves are not very remarkable, let's just say there are many of them all over Armenia. You can put a candle in temples, but it is better to buy it near the monastery, and not at the foot of the stairs, it is much more expensive there. Souvenirs are located along the length of the stairs, and Mir cards are accepted in several places. The toilet near the temple is paid, the visit to the monastery is free.
Place of power)
Previously, the monastery was on the island, now that the level in Sevan has become lower, it is already a peninsula.
There are steps leading to the monastery. There are a lot of them and that's the beauty of it too. There are rest areas during the ascent.
The monastery itself has survived its former glory and greatness, now there are only a couple of churches and the foundations of buildings, which now only remind of themselves with these foundations.
But the view around is simply amazing. The color of the lake is azure, around the mountains, clouds and some kind of endless expanse.
It's very cool.
A beautiful place with a changeable climate.
Monuments of Armenian architecture and the Armenian Church. A very nice, beautiful and spiritually rich place. Come and admire
A very beautiful place with a wonderful view of Lake Sevan. Be sure to visit when you are in Armenia. On the way from Yerevan, sea buckthorn and pomegranate juices are sold along the road, I also recommend it.
The monastery is located on the shore, surrounded by the expanses of the lake, which, by the way, is very large. In April, it is still cool and there is practically no greenery. The architecture, as in the whole country, is strict and at the same time monolithic and unshakable, it will stand for the same amount of time. It is better to choose the time for swimming closer to August. Purely for the sake of Sevanak, I do not recommend going, but I recommend the intermediate stage to Dilijan :)
We were here at the end of October 2024. Monastery on the shore of Sevan, beautiful view. Nearby is the writer's house, a Soviet-era building in the style of constructivism, which is also interesting to look at.
There is no way to describe this place with candles. It is a holy place, and the beauty and landscape cannot be described in words. I promise a burst of energy. A beautiful church. Visit this holy place by faith and pray from the bottom of your heart.
A local landmark. There is parking, which turned out to be not a little important. Souvenir shops of course :) there is a restaurant and, of course, access to the lake.
It's very beautiful at the top. You will have to climb the stairs. There is a very strong wind at the top, about 20 m/s, but the photos are very beautiful. It is better to use a camera if there is one. The phone may be blown away by the wind. Wear both a hat and gloves on top! The wind!
One of the several khachkars (stones crosses) on which Christ is located is in this temple!
By touching it, you will feel the power of the faith transferred to you.
The perfect place to shoot!
It's an amazing place. If you think about the time when it was built, your head is spinning. We took his view from above, it's even more beautiful. I advise everyone to go there. As the views of Sevan open up.
a beautiful place, beautiful views, be sure to come here if you are in Sevan)) we've been here twice, got caught in the rain, but even he couldn't make the mood worse)
It's very beautiful, but the wind is strong. It is better to climb to the top along the path, from there the view is fascinating. There are a lot of souvenirs downstairs, Parking is paid. They persistently offer to buy a pack of candles.

Armenia is an amazing country! With responsive and kind people who are generous with smiles, responsive to requests) My family and I visited Yerevan, Dilijan and Lake Sevan) We went up to Sevanavank -Sevan , we were delighted with the atmosphere and views !!! On the way from Dilijan we stopped to admire the Cozy House hotel, a stunningly atmospheric place))) Who loves fairy tales and everything unusual, you are definitely there!!! Thank you to a wonderful country and wonderful people for an unforgettable vacation 🙏🏻😍
The splendor of the views of the beauties of nature is necessary to see it is worth it to visit and see everything that cannot be conveyed in words and photos
Great views, if you look at the mountain, then there is a boat rental on the right, and going down the mountain, take a little to the right and go down to the seminary - a quiet and cozy park.

Before the lake was crushed, the peninsula was an island, it was separated from the mainland by a 3-kilometer strait, so fishermen and fugitive criminals mainly settled on it. At the time when the monks chose the island, a stone wall was built encircling it with a watchtower and a small gate. Inside the wall there were four churches, cells for monks and numerous outbuildings.
It's a very beautiful place. I advise you to visit

I was here as part of a group tour from Hyur Service. You can buy a souvenir coin in the machine as a keepsake, accepts only a 1000 AMD bill and does not give change. Despite the bad weather and heavy rain, I climbed the steps to the temple. I think the views here are even more stunning in good weather
It is a cool place in terms of energy, but like almost all attractions in Armenia, it is aimed at making money. Starting from the parking lot, they pester with alms and the sale of candles. I am glad that the traders on the stairs are unobtrusive.
