A quiet, peaceful Arab town, if you come to walk around the center, shops pay in cash or by card, take dinars and dollars. I do not advise going to the outskirts - the other side of the coin: it is dirty and dangerous, and the beaches there differ from the hotel ones like heaven from earth. Alcohol is freely sold in stores, unlike in the UAE.
